"Jen, what are you doing today?" Yangyang asks from the other end of the phone call, the obvious growing feeling of desperation laced in his tone.
Rolling his eyes, Jeno flips to another page of his book. "I'm studying, Yangie." He briefly responds and heard a huffed laugh in return.
"I think you forgot that it's a Saturday, Jen." His friend comments in amusement.
"And I think you forgot which friend you're talking to right now." Jeno said with a hum, trying to focus on his book instead of the phone call he was in. No offense.
He has an idea of what's coming up next, and said idea was only proven to him when he heard Yangyang clicking his tongue in the call.
"What now, Yangyang? I know you have something in mind that I'd probably say no to."
"Let's go hangout somewhere." Yangyang blurts out.
Blinking, Jeno sighs and readjusts the position his legs were in on his bed. "And where is this somewhere you are talking about?" He asks further more whilst shaking off the annoying tingling sensation on his legs.
"Uh, just somewhere around town." Yangyang replies and Jeno could hear a few shuffling at the other end of the call.
"Specifically where?"
"Just somewhere!" His friend said a little too loudly, making Jeno pull the device away from his ear as he scrunched his nose.
"Sorry," Yangyang then follows up a small apology as he cleared his throat, "but can you please just come with me?" He almost begs.
Raising a brow, Jeno fiddles with the loose string design on his ripped jeans and asks, "why not Hyuckie or Mark?"
Yangyang groans and replies with, "Hyuckie is grounded and Mark's babysitting his cousin." He then quickly adds, "so please Jen! Come with me and we can show those losers they missed out on shit."
Chuckling at his friend's small frustration, Jeno sighs softly. "Fine, I'll go," he said and takes out a bookmark from his small box organizer nearby, "but can you please tell me where we're exactly going?" He asks.
"I told you, it's somewhere around town. I promise it's not that bad," Yangyang drawls out his words as if it was to reassure his friend.
Humming in defeat, Jeno arranges his things and makes sure he bookmarked the correct pages before standing up from his bed.
"I'm already on my way to your house, is your mom home?" Yangyang spoke up again while Jeno was grabbing his fanny pack and inserting his needed things in there.
"Yeah, but she'll be out somewhere as well in a few minutes or so to go to some errands," the raven haired replies and earned a small hum before Yangyang ends the call with a soft 'goodbye'.
Inserting his phone in his fanny pack, Jeno opens his bedroom door and heads downstairs to see his mom in the kitchen doing the dishes.
"Hi honey, heading out somewhere?" Mrs. Lee asks, glancing over her shoulder to see her son walking up to her and nods at her question.
"Yeah, Yangyang wants to hangout today." Jeno said and helps her a little bit with the dishes since it'll be a few more minutes before Yangyang arrives.
"Ah, it's about time you gave in to your friends' hangouts and join them, you always stay home on weekends to study." Mrs. Lee jokes and nudges her hip against Jeno's.
Rolling his eyes with a huff, Jeno mutters, "it's only for today because Yangyang said Hyuck and Mark aren't available. So it's not really a friend group hangout."
Giggling, Mrs. Lee shook her head with a smile just in time for the doorbell to ring. "Alright honey, go have fun." She said as Jeno smiles back and kisses her cheek.
They exchanged hugs before the raven haired boy walks to the door and opens it, "hey Yangie," he greets his friend who immediately drapes an arm around his shoulders.
Yangyang greets back with a wide smile as they started to walk down the sidewalk with Jeno asking him from time to time on where the hell are they even going to.

"A tattoo parlor?" Jeno said flatly as he turns to his friend beside him after Yangyang announced their arrival as they stood in front of a building.
It was small and indeed somewhere around town, maybe a little bit hidden away since it's sort of smaller than the other buildings and shops nearby.
"Well, yeah-"
"Yangyang, you dragged me to a tattoo parlor. Exactly why?" Jeno tries to calm himself down and hides himself away from his friend's figure, discreetly looking around to make sure no one he knew from school saw him.
Shrugging, Yangyang replies with, "I wanted to get another tattoo."
"You already have four tattoos. And why not go here by yourself?" The raven haired boy rubs his temples as he emphasizes his words.
"Well I got bored of the recent one I got about a month ago with Hyuck, I didn't liked it anyway since it was only for a dare." Yangyang first reasons to his friend.
"And for the second one- I don't know, I guess I wanted to have some company, which is you." He answers with a nonchalant shrug.
Clicking his tongue, Jeno crosses his arms. "I'm going home." He declares and turns around to start walking.
"Hey! Wait up!" Yangyang panics and pulls him back to face him, "Jen, I swear it'll be really quick and we can go home right after. It's only a small design unlike the second one I've got."
Jeno squints his eyes, "why couldn't you wait for Hyuck or Mark to be available? Not today but maybe next time?" He interrogates.
Yangyang scratched his nape awkwardly, "okay don't snitch on me but those two are annoying when it comes to these things, so be slightly grateful you're not with Hyuck on this."
"How bad can Hyuck be on getting a tattoo?"
"You don't even want to know, it's almost much worst than going with him to a grocery store and him ditching you when you get caught from stealing a pack of Cheetos."
Jeno scrunched his face and sighs, "fine, I'll go. But it better be quick like you said it would or I'm going home by myself." He finally gives in.
"Thank you, Jen! You're the best!" Yangyang exclaims and pulls the raven haired boy into his arms tightly.
Grunting, Jeno hugs back and muffles against the boy's shoulder, "I still don't fully approve of this though. Seriously, take a break from tattoos for a moment, Yangie."
Chuckling, Yangyang drapes his arm around Jeno's shoulders again and pulls him along towards the entrance of the tattoo parlor.
"Chill, I'm getting a tattoo, not dealing with drugs. That's someone else's thing." He comments which made Jeno snort at his words.
