𑁍 Chapter Twenty-Five: All Under Control

"Jeno's gone back to his usual cookie-cutter self or something." Donghyuck mutters whilst flipping through the pages of the magazine.

Jaemin raises a brow at him, originally perking up from the mention of the raven haired boy but soon grew curious and a little worried of what he has been up to.

It's been two weeks and a half, Jaemin has to be really deadass honest with you; he's high-key lovesick.

Crazy, I know.

He can't help but miss Jeno each day, hanging out with him and teasing him, loving every reaction he gets wether it's an annoyed one or a giggly one.

Sometimes he thinks he's actually a fricking weirdo, like Jeno has said.

They're not together, and Jeno hasn't even reciprocated the romantic feelings Jaemin has for him.

But that doesn't mean Jaemin is giving up– he almost did but he promised himself and the others, he won't.

Kind of ended up with Yangyang and Donghyuck betting on his words but that's nothing out of the ordinary.

Jaemin was just waiting for the right time to come, he thinks maybe Jeno will realize and one day ask Yangyang to take him to the studio like before.

Mark had teased him about acting as if he and Jeno actually had broken up, or took some time away from each other; which is somewhere like that. Very similar.

Can you blame him though? The last time he saw Jeno was when the latter ran up to him in excitement, babbling about his project and thanking him for all the help.

Jaemin relished that moment and always thought about it before he sleeps, or sometimes when he has nothing to do at the studio and Jeno is the first person to come up in his mind.

He hugged Jeno that day– no, he got hugged by Jeno that day, and he obviously returned the gesture.

He still wonders how and why Jeno decided to do that, or if that was just accidental. Because the younger boy is usually a little... Moody at him, strict even.

Pushing Jaemin away as if he's some creep– a tad bit. When he's being unnecessarily sensual and shit.

Luckily Jaemin doesn't get too worried about the younger boy since their friends give him updates every other day when they're free.

So far so good, Jaemin hasn't gotten any news about Jeno getting hurt or anywhere near to having a frown or worse, a tear on his cheek.

He cares a lot for the raven haired boy who is, even though, usually so uptight and goody-goody towards him.

Doesn't matter because he knows Jeno is the sweetest, he's just having his walls up too high.

Mark clicks his tongue on the roof of his mouth, making a 'tsk' sound effect as he continues to play his game whilst speaking.

"Don't call him that." Without looking away from his blinding phone screen.

The tanned male snorts in response, "I don't even think he knows what that means."

"Does he not know slangs?" Jaemin blinks with his eyes a bit empty. But mostly tired from the busy day.

They're all hanging out at the back room of the tattoo studio, should be against the rules for letting non workers in but Jaehyun wasn't here today.

Waiting for Jaemin's shift to finish and also Yangyang's tattoo removal session, the three of them have been a little bored.

"Of course he does– err, some of them." Mark corrects himself at the end to be more specific to Jaemin.

"Anyways, not the point." Donghyuck sassily interjects as he goes back to the very first page of the magazine Jaemin threw at him earlier.

He's read it for at least four times yet he still found some stuff interesting, a few things he hasn't really noticed at first but now has.

"Point is, we need to drag him out of his cave."

"Which cave are we talking about? His room or his strict personality with a safety bubble thing?" Mark grunts when he loses his game but still joins in the conversation.

"Both," Donghyuck rolls his eyes as he finally throws the old magazine at the elder boy. Smirking in satisfaction when he hears him moaning in pain.

"I have a plan," he announces, gaining his friends' attention, intrigued.

"And that includes me having an appointment here this Saturday afternoon. Oh! and Jaemin," he pauses to look at the said tattoo artist.

"You need to be my guy... And his, I guess. Flirt with him, I don't care."

Despite hearing the fact that he'll see Jeno again, almost like deja vu– but this time it is planned, Jaemin whines his complaints.

"But that's my day off!"

"So? I'm sure we can talk Jaehyun out of it." The tanned male smiles triumphantly.

"It's usually a busy day–"

"Like I said, we can talk to Jaehyun and everything will work out just fine!" Donghyuck places his hands on his hips.

"Why not somewhere on the weekdays?" Both Mark and Donghyuck look at him flatly as he said that.

"Remember who we're dealing with Jaemin, for God sakes he's your "pretty boy"," Donghyuck air quotes using his fingers.

Mark snickers when Donghyuck successfully and easily made Jaemin embarrassed and shy, the tip of his ears turning red as he scratches his nape sheepishly with a forced cough.

"Right..."

"What if you can't manage to bring him here? Or even step out his bedroom slash library slash study cave?" Mark suddenly comments.

It has Donghyuck raising a brow at him, "are you underestimating me, Lee Minhyung?" He sneers.

The elder boy held his hands up, "I'm just asking the possibilities." He defends himself.

"Then obviously I, Lee Donghyuck, have solutions for that possibility." The tanned male grins.

Jaemin blinks at him before he deadpans, "you're just going to drag him here and threaten to disturb, rip his books, or even get him his first ever detention huh?"

"At least you know more than Mark over here."

"Bitch!"

Rolling his eyes, Donghyuck bites the inside of his cheek as he thinks for anything else important within this plan of theirs– most likely his and he just dragged his friends into it.

Nothing out of the ordinary when it comes to troublemakers like the four of them.

"I think that's it– ah wait!" Mark and Jaemin flinch at his exclaim, watching him take his phone from the couch and smiles at them.

"Help me pick a tattoo."

"I thought you were just going to pretend and leave Jeno here with Jaemin?" Mark asked, utterly confused.

"Won't be believable," Donghyuck mutters in annoyance. "You know what? Shush it, Mark. I've got this all under control."
