Little Lance and Isuma: Power Out pt2
So this ones like a part two to Part 61 but not? Basically I wanted to write about these two and they just live in the same neighborhood.
"Something wrong Lance?" Isuma asked as Lance fiddled with his sleeve.
"Peachy," Lance mumbled back.
"Is something wrong?" Isuma asked, putting his hand on Lance's back. Lance nodded, staring at his feet. Isuma was not convinced but went back onto reading one of Lance's comic book.
If wasn't until Isuma got up to go order sushi for them that Lance quickly stood up and grabbed his jacket. Isuma looked over at him and waited for him to say something. As his older brother he should probably know what Lance wants. But he did teach Lance's first word to be ass and never told their parents that he helped with it. Lance seemed to trying to find some sort of words to say. But he couldn't spit anything out.
"Do you want to change dinner from California Rolls to something else?" Isuma asked, making Lance shake his head. "Do you want me to get you something to drink?" Lance shook his head again. It was hard to tell what Lance wanted when he went silent. But Isuma was patient with him. Either he was overwhelmed or he was slipping, they were really the only reasons why he went quiet. Which meant he also had to make his moves carefully. "Can you point at what you want?" Lance pointed at him. "Can I touch you?" Lance nodded. Isuma brought him into a hug, which Lance gratefully accepted, and swung them side to side a little bit. "Can you give me any hints?"
"Papa," he heard Lance whisper, so quiet he didn't know if he was suppose to hear it. Lance squeezed his eyes shut and waited for a response.
"Well I didn't know we were going to have a little night. How about we do each others nail tonight? I would love to show off to my friends of what my brother can do," Isuma recommended, scratching his head. Lance smiled and nodded, walking over to Isuma's bed and sitting down. They had a bunk bed, Lance had top. "Do you want me to change what we're eating tonight? I don't know if little kids like yourself should be eating California Rolls."
Lance shooked his head and began to pick at Isuma's blanket. Isuma smiled and walked down stairs. He ordered food from the house phone and tossed his pack on cigarettes into the air before catching them. Yeah he smokes. He just doesn't do it as often as he'd like. Smoking, it calms him down. But he refused to do it around his friends. They know thought, they just don't say anything. They know he has it under control. It was when the lights turned off that he put them back into his pocket.
"Damn it, not again," he muttered to himself, going to check the light switch. Yep, another power out. He swore to the life of his he could hear someone start screaming the moment it happened. He frowned at it. Definitely a power out. He wanted to go over to his friend's house, but he knew he couldn't. Lance would start freaking out if he was left alone and he would probably get smacked if he left the thought without him. "Lance, are you okay over there?" Isuma called out to his brother. He heard two stomps, which was a yes. Isuma hopped he stomped the floor and not the wall.
He heard the door bell ring and walked over, paying the person and taking in their food. He walked back to their room, making sure not to trip anything. The stars on top of their ceiling were bright. Which was a reason Isuma wanted to bottom bunk. Lance was in a new outfit by now. From what Isuma saw he had a pull up and one of Isuma's sweater necks.
"Isn't that mine?" he asked, setting the food on his desk. Lance shrugged and made grabby hands at him. "Do you remember where the flash lights are, Cariño?" Lance shook his head and Isuma frowned. It was a horrible night for their parents to take their phones as a punishment and go out for dinner. "Well, don't tell Keith, but I'm pretty sure I still have some of his candles."
Lance nodded and rolled onto his back, starring as Isuma walked over to his closet and dug around. He made a 'haha!' sound before bringing out some candles. He put some down and took his lighter out of his pocket. The smells filled the room, which was weird. Since every candle was different there were a ton of different kinds of smells filling the room. Which was the worst. Isuma pushed back the gagging he wanted to do and gave Lance his sushi. Lance pouted and pushed it back before tapping his mouth. Isuma nodded and sat next to him. He feed Lance his and ate his own. Lance seemed happy with this, he didn't bother to protest. After they were done Isuma walked to Lance's vanity that he got him. Since their parents refused to help out. They were eh with how comfortable Lance was with doing 'girly' things. And even though Isuma wasn't into that kind of stuff, he always did it whenever Lance wanted to try something new. Even if he had sparkly nails at school for a month, which he totally bragged about to his teachers. He opened up the nail polish drawer and grabbed the blue one. He heard Lance whine at that so he grabbed the light blue one.
"Do you want blue or light blue?" Isuma asked, grabbing some other things in case they messed up.
"Light," he heard Lance say. Isuma nodded and putting the supplies in the middle of the floor and setting Lance down in the circle he made with the candles.
"So how was your day?" Isuma asked as Lance open the first nail polish. It was okay to get a four year old use nail polish, right?
"Okay," Lance said happily, grabbing Isuma's hands and trying to paint them.
"Alright, what happened?" Isuma asked. He learned the habit that okay in a happy voice related to school meant the day was bad.
"Feelin li'l at school, had to keep it back," Lance wiggled a little a bit. Isuma frowned at the comment. He could of told him when school ended. But instead he agreed to go to the arcade with him. And one of those old timers arcades where Pac Mans still the big thing.
"Well next time you have to inform me when you feel little, okay? I like taking care of you," Isuma hummed, looking at his nails. "These are going to be better than Allura's, trust me."
"Lura has the bes nails!" Lance loudly said, making Isuma laugh.
"And that's why you're going to beat them," Isuma said, making Lance's face lit up.
In the end, their nails were a mess. And Lance had tried to eat one of the cotton balls Isuma brought out. Isuma had tried to clean their nails up, but he wasn't the best. And when he had to do Lance's nails, he sucked badly. Somehow the four year old did his better though. A bad thing was the next step though, drying. Why? Because Lance decided to become bratty. He did not want to wait for his nails to dry at all. It got to the point that Isuma was grumbling while holding Lance's hand under a fan.
"If you keep on trying to touch everything they're gonna look bad," Isuma said, making Lance huff.
"Papa I'm borrrrrrrred!" he whined, trying to pull his hands away.
"Well what do you want to do?"
"I dunno," Lance said with sass in his voice. Why does he go from a quiet angle to this brat monster at times?
"How about we read some stories?"
"Pool!"
"It is way too dark," Isuma said, making Lance pout. "Plus Mom and Dad will be home soon and if they see you in floaties, I don't think we want that." Isuma said, making Lance nod. "How about we go to bed? Hmm? I'm sure that you're tired by now."
"Nuuuuuuuuuu!" Lance whined again. "TV!"
"I'm sorry, Lancey. The powers out," Isuma explained, making Lance pout again. "How about instead we play with some toys?"
"Nu!" Lance exclaimed. Isuma heard a 'We're home!' from the front of the house. Lance kept on whining and moving around. Well now they're in deep end now.
"Hey, hey, hey! How about we play dress up! Or we can get into our onesies, I know you like those," Isuma talked to Lance in am almost begging voice. Lance heard footsteps coming close to the door and started freaking out. Isuma smiled at him and brought him onto his lap. Luckily their nails were dried by now.
"Are you boys okay?" Their mom asked, knocking on their door. "I know the power being out is scary."
"We're fine Mom! Lance is just freaking out a little bit. But I've got him," Isuma explained, rocking Lance back and forth. He is freaking out, just not because of the power being out. Lance had always liked the darkness and quiet. It was relaxing to him.
"Are you sure?" Their mom asked while opening the door, putting their phones on the desk.
"Oh yeah, I'll calm him down. Don't even worry about it," Isuma reassured his Mother. She nodded and left the room, making Isuma let out a sigh of relief. "See? Our little secret is safe," he said, tickling Lance's stomach. Lance giggled and tickled him back. Isuma laughed and picked him up.
He got his phone and went onto Nexflix. He layed Lance on his bed and grabbed a paci from their closet, sticking in into his mouth. He smiled as Lance lazily smiled around it, now getting really tired. He put on the movie Sleeping Beauty while Lance cuddled to him. But in around ten minutes he was out like a light. Isuma put his phone on the floor and kissed the top of Lance's head, "Night Hermano Bebe."
