Little Allura and Paladins of Voltron: Littlespace

Prompt: Just a question could you try one were Allura is really stressed, and nothing's working so like she gets over spilling milk or something, and the others talk about ideas that could help while she cleans herself up, Pidge ends up suggesting little space?

I have no good excuse for not updating. Although I did find a littlespace oneshot book. Each chapter is short, like super short, but I'll leave a link to it. Hopefully that can make up for the time it might take for the other two request I still have to do? Hehe.

There's one thing that all the paladins can agree on, Allura's stress. Now weither they're the reason or the Galra is, is up for debate, but it still stands. At firs it was ignored, except for Shiro and Coran who would offer to help out. But soon it got a bit bad. Anything could make her go tense, she snapped a bit more, breaks made her uneasy, and she worked non-stop. It caught the others attention when they finally noticed these things. So they've been taking it on themselves to help out. Didn't go so well for them.

Currently though, everyone was having breakfast. Hunk made Space Waffles, they were blue instead of their regular Earth color. And the syrup, if you had any, was purple.

"You're drowning your waffles," Keith pointed out.

"Am not!" Lance smirked at his food, waffles doused it syrup.

"Can we please just eat without fighting for once?" Allura asked, dead serious in her voice. Which made the boys stare at her for a second before quickly nodding.

Everything was going normal, as a breakfast should. A few words here in there but mostly just eating. There wasn't much talking in the mornings, dinner was where the food fights started. But of course it can't go as plan. As Allura was drinking her milk she overheard a joke Hunk whispered to Pidge, which made all three of them start laughing. Pretty bad decision with milk cause, it split all over her dress. Which made everyone shut up.

Allura's cheeks rose to a bright red, either of frustration or embarrassment, and put her elbows on the table, digging her hands into her face. Of course this had to happen. Why wouldn't it! Ruin her day at seven in the morning. Now she has to get a new dress or go in her fighting gear, cause they have a meeting with he Blades today. Check the castle for damage cause of an attack that happened yesterday, knowing with how the fight went it's going to be pretty bad still. Training later happened to be an obsicle course. Why all today?

"You alright, Princess?" Shiro spoke up, breaking the silence. Coran gave Allura a wet towel and she tried to clean herself up.

"Does it look like I'm okay?" she asked, giving him a death glare.

"How about you take a hot bath instead of training today? That usually helps," he recommended. He's done it a few times, especially when he's had a tense or fearful day, always on edge. Allura understood and let him.

"I don't want a bath," Allura gritted her teeth. Shiro put his hands up before going back to eating.

"How about candles?" Lance asked. Keith gave him a questionable look. "What? The lavender, rose, and orange blossom help me. Using scents to treat your mood is called aromatherapy. It can decrease anxiety and improve sleep, I think."

"You could write about it," Hunk recommended. "You recorded what you're stressed and then what you're grateful for."

Allura shook her head, "None of that grabs my attention. Thanks for trying though-"

"How about littlespace?" Pidge piped up. Everyone looked at her with a confused look. They knew of what she was talking about but recommending it to Allura? Why? The two Alteans and Keith looked the most confused, both of them had no idea of what she was saying. "You know, littlespace?"

"Never heard of that," Keith mumbled.

"I'll explain, littlespace in a coping method. In littlespace you sort of retreat into a younger headspace to feel better. A lot of times, littles will have caregivers who watch them to make sure they don't do anything unhealthy while in littlespace. Normally people are in a child's state of mind, sometimes younger to an infant and sometimes older to a teenager. Although the teenager headspace is called Middle, although I'm not sure of that part. But that's basically it."

"Why would I do something like that?" Allura asked, setting the towel on the table.

"Because I know people who does it and it helps?"

"I'll . . . I'll look into it."

The word couldn't leave Allura's mind, littlespace. Even though a lot of things did go bad today she did remind herself to look it up. She looked up how to get into littlespace, supplies for it, what's it about. By the time she went to bed she wanted to actually try it. It sounded a little embarrassing, yes, but it also sounded very fun and joyful. She was also lucky that the team wouldn't mind if she was a little. She read stories of people not getting accepted for it, which was sad. But she couldn't wait to try and slip. Maybe they could try eating little foods, or dressing up, or toys! Toys sound cool. She actually happened to have many toys and stuffed animals in her room from her childhood. And she knew Hunk wouldn't mind making her little food. And Lance would love to have a fashion show. The Space Mice jumped onto her pillow, a sign to tell her she needs to go to sleep. She smiled and finally closed her eyes. Maybe tomorrow won't be that bad.

Allura woke up the next morning with a big sigh. It was early. Too early for her taste right now. There was so much things to do today and the paladins would probably try to help and- Allura spot one of her old stuffies from the corner. She felt tears in the corner of her eyes as thought of everything. She got up and walked over to the corner before grabbing the stuffie. She brought it close to her chest as she dried her tears. The stuffie was a gift from her dad. She always said she was too old for them but that didn't stop him. Allura didn't want to do any of the 'big kid' work today. There was so much to do. So so much. Allura took a deep breath and sat down. She put the stuffie on her lap and smiled. His name was Meg, he was a brown bunny, normal sized for a stuff animal. Allura booped his nose and giggled slightly. Blushing soon after when she realized what she did.

What else did people do when they want to slip? Well some people get dressed in cute clothes. Allura got up, Meg still in arms, as she opened her closet. She grabbed an oversized baby pink hoodie, and light grey sweatpants. Along with some baby blue socks since the castle is usually cold. After getting changed she looked at herself in the mirror. She felt . . . smaller in a way. She couldn't quite pin point the feeling but she liked it. She then put her hair into a ponytail. It was a bit difficult, seeing as though she has a lot of hair, but she was proud after she was done. She grabbed Meg from the floor, where she placed him, and walked out the door.

She walked down the halls, it was quiet. And good that she was wearing socks cause it was very cold. Sometime while she was walking the Space Mice joined her walk. They were on her shoulders. She noticed her walking was a bit wobbly then usual. Which made her smile. She wasn't big anymore, she was little. No big kid work, just being small. Instead of wobbly walking she began to skip down the halls, the Mice holding onto her shoulders. Instead of going to the dinning area she went to the kitchen, where she found Hunk and Lance.

"Give me!" Hunk exclaimed, trying to take a spoon back from Lance.

"Then pay attention to me!" Lance pouted, standing on the counter, spoon high above his head.

"I need to put it away."

"Attention!"

Allura giggled at the fight, Lance was being silly. Lance and Hunk had been dating since the Garrison. Hunk was usually really busy on the ship though, either doing something with mechanics or cooking for the others. And since Lance loves giving and receiving affection, he takes a lot of his stuff. The two heard the giggles and looked over at her. Hunk and Lance both gasped and big smiled plastered onto their faces.

"Is that a bunny?" Hunk asked.

"Have you slipped?" Lance asked.

"Meg," Allura replied to Hunk before nodding at Lance.

"You look so adorable!" Lance awed, getting off the counter to run up and hug her, spinning her around in the air. He left the spoon back at the counter. Allura giggled as she was spun around, hugging Lance right after. Lance hugged back and looked over at Hunk. "We need to put food in her tummy!"

"Calm down there, Lancey Lance," Hunk commented. "What would you like, Princess?"

"Uh, dunno?" she shrugged. She had to choose what she wanted? Usually Hunk just makes breakfast. Although from the growl from her stomach she did knew she was hungry.

"Well, we have cereal," Hunk began as Lance picked Allura up, making her yelp before setting her on the counter. Allura looked over at Lance, they happened to share each other's favorite cereal.

"She wants fruit loops," Lance said for her. At times it was like he knew her better than she knew herself. Lance then looked at Hunk with a exited expression. "Can we have chocolate milk?"

"You're too addicted to that stuff," Hunk argued but made all three of them cereal and chocolate milk. He put Allura's into a sippy cup. Allura blushed as he handed it to her. Her silence made him chuckle a little before ruffling her hair. "Little kids need sippy cups, not big kid cups."

Allura smiled at the comment, she felt herself go a little smaller. They all quickly ate their cereal and drank their milk. The Hunk gave the Space Mice some food too. The two men congratulated Allura when she was finished with her food. Allura smiled and slipped off the counter.

"I'ma go in the lounge," she smiled, beginning to walk away before Hunk picked her up and placed her on his hip.

"Alright let's go," he hummed, Lance picked up the Mice and they made their way to the lounge. Allura tried to form words but it was obvious that she was very flustered. Lance had split from Hunk to go somewhere. Hunk set Allura in the middle of the room, which happened to have the couches around her.

"Lancey should be here soon. How about you tell me about Meg?"

Allura's eyes lit up as she began to ramble about Meg. What he was like, who got him for her, and some other things. Hunk listened to every word. It was nice to see Allura let loose instead up tensed up. She hadn't noticed that her words began to stumble or some bigger words became smaller. She was just having fun.

Soon the others came in, Lance, Pidge, Shiro, and Keith. Pidge had a bag with her. Lance and Keith plopped down on the floor, while Pidge and Shiro sat on the couch. Pidge set the bag down next to Meg, who was sitting next to Allura. It wasn't until Shiro tapped Allura's shoulders that she noticed everyone was here. She looked around and frowned, Coran wasn't there.

"C-Coowran?" she asked, looking at the bag.

"He's checking up on somethings around the castle," Shiro smiled at her, patting her shoulder before crossing his arms.

"I help," Allura began to get up before the others protested, Keith was the one who pulled her back onto the ground.

"Coran doesn't need help with . . . big kid work?" Keith looked at Lance, who nodded. It was a bit obvious that Keith was new to this as well.

Allura frowned at that. Coran shouldn't have to work alone because she slipped. It wasn't fair. Pidge seemed to noticed her mood and shook the bag, grabbing the little's attention.

"Blocks, I've had then for a while," she explained as she poured them onto the ground. There were multiple colors and shaped. There was also a lot, like a lot a lot.

"You have all of these?" Lance asked in awe.

"Hard time sleeping at times," Pidge shrugged, going onto her phone.

Keith was the first to grab a block, a green rectangle. He tossed it in the air before catching it.

"Wanna build a castle?" he asked, placing it on the ground. Allura nodded eagerly and smiled.

"Uh-huh."

In the end they built a giant castle, the inside filled with blocks as well. Coran came in half way through to help out. He also had a pacifier for Allura. It was one of her old baby ones. He had made sure to clean in properly and said he'd get her more if she wanted. The others cooed when she began to suck on his, making her go bright red. The Space Mice took a nap on Meg's legs and head. Allura felt a lot better by the end of the day. She wasn't as stressed. In fact she was quite happy and felt free. And she couldn't wait until the next time she could slip.
