"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the Highledge for a Clan meeting!" the leader yowled.

Cherrypaw's eyes sparkled.

"I, Shimmerstar, leader of ThunderClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. They have trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend them to you as a warrior in their turn. Cherrypaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan?" Shimmerstar asked.

"I do!" Cherrypaw declared.

"Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Cherrypaw, from this moment on, you will be known as Cherrynose. StarClan honors your bravery and spirit and we welcome you as a full warrior of ThunderClan," Shimmerstar announced.

Shimmerstar touched her muzzle and Cherrynose licked her muzzle.

"Cherrynose! Cherrynose!" the Clan yowled in unison.

Littlenose could hear his own voice raised as well. "Cherrynose! Cherrynose!"

Cherrynose's eyes gleamed with happiness.

"Go sit vigil now," Shimmerstar meowed. 

Littlenose sent a warm glance towards Cherrynose, who smiled back. His heart fluttered.

Padding to the warriors' den, he curled up and fell into a deep, deep sleep.
