"I'm sorry, you wwant a wwhat?" Eridan asked his matesprit with a twinge of confusion and maybe disgust. God, humans are so weird, and so far this is one of the weirdest things he's been asked of by his matesprit. Or as the other liked to call it, "boyfriend".

"An eskimo kiss!" John repeated with the same goofy and innocent smile that the seadweller troll had fallen for since the moment he laid his dark violet eyes on the human.

The two were currently curled up and cuddling on a king size bed in John's room, a heavy and soft lavender blanket draped around them with various snack and movies littering the ground. It was sort of a mess in there. A mess that Eridan would most likely be cleaning up later.

"And wwhat in the evver-lovvin' Cod is an 'eskimo kiss'? You havve to givve me a bit of a hand here Egbert, I havven't put much effort into learnin' about your wweird human customs until I started dating you." the seadweller loosely crossed his arms, looking at John and waiting for an answer.

"Oh, geez, right," John laughed with a sheepish smile, rubbing his arm with embarrassment. "Sorry. Uh, yeah. An eskimo kiss is just when you rub noses together. Sorta like human nuzzling, you could say?" John answered, making vague movements with his hands as he spoke. John was one of those people who liked to 'talk with their hands' as Rose would say it.

Eridan's eyebrows raised a bit and let out a small hum in response. "Oh. Wwell you could havve said that in the first place. Trolls do that too, and wwhile its more so a pale thin', some matesprits do that."

John gave a shrug in response. "Humans just have weird names for things, I guess." He shifted in his spot a bit before turning to Eridan, giving him another smile. "So...can I have an eskimo kiss?"

Eridan paused for a moment before he returned the smile with a playful smirk. "I dunno, John. Can you havve one?" He was then lightly slapped on the cheek and John moved away from the seadweller troll, crossing his arms and pouting.

"You know I hate it when you do that!" John looked down at nothing in particular and Eridan sighed. The seadweller troll moved closer and gently puthis hand on John's cheek and turned the human's head to look at him.

"I knoww you do, and I'm sorry," Eridan apologized in a soft voice, then rubbed his nose against John's. John's upset expression melted away into happiness and content and he hugged Eridan, draping his arms over the other's shoulders.

"Apology accepted, my fishy prince." John then preceded to give Eridan a normal kiss on the cheek and continued with the hug. "I love you."

"Lovve you, too, my ocean breeze."
