Stretch

"Did you shapeshift this much when you were a baby? This is the third time today." Katakuri was holding Jasper when he changed into a pup, startling him a little.

"No clue. My mom and I never talked about baby me." You plucked Jasper out of his arms and set him on the deck of the ship, giving him a chance to try walking on four legs. He wobbled about as the ship moved with the sea, but managed to stay upright. With a yip, he was off to explore, Sirius following him around so he wouldn't get too close to the railings.

"It's definitely making him more of a handful." He pulled you in for a quick kiss, making sure none of the crew saw his mouth.

"Oh just wait until he can control it. He'll be a real pain then." You giggled.

"I'm starting to wonder if you Druids are really worth all the trouble." He said jokingly.

"That makes two of us." You sat down on a nearby crate, watching Jasper try to catch Sirius' tail between his teeth. Lucky for Sirius, the pup was too small to actually reach the stump but he still played along. "I can't believe you managed to still talk Brûlèe into watching them."

"It didn't take much convincing. She said she misses him and wants to meet our....dog." Sirius stared at Katakuri for the comment. You swore if he could make faces, he'd be glaring right now. He wasn't too keen on being called that.

"You told her that we got a dog? She's going to freak when she sees him."

"I didn't know how to explain him to her." Katakuri raised his hands in his defense. "It'll be fine."

"I hope so. There's no way we'll be able to separate these two. Just think of the tantrums that would ensue....." You shuddered at the thought. The one time they weren't together, Jasper turned into a screaming banshee until Sirius came back home. The creature had left originally to spend an entire day exploring Komugi Island by himself. When he came home, you cried literal tears of joy after hours of fussing with Jasper.

"Yeah, I don't want a repeat of last time." He was thinking of the same incident.

The boys had gotten very close in a small amount of time. And with the knowledge that Sirius understood human speech, you no longer had a problem leaving them alone together. The creature fussed over the baby as much as you did, sometimes even more. And you made it abundantly clear to him that Jasper's safety always came first. Sirius seemed to wholeheartedly agree, he was the best nanny you could ask for.

Whole Cake Island soon came into view and you scrambled to make sure you had a bag full with everything the boys would need. It was something you took care of before boarding the ship, but sometimes things got a little hectic and important items get forgotten so you had to double check.

You finished up right as the ship docked, confident you had everything of any possible emergency and then some all in one bag for Brûlèe.

"Mama just called." Katakuri was carrying the now human Jasper, trying to keep the baby's hands off his scarf. "She wants to see him before he gets dropped off."

You immediately scowled. It proved too difficult to actually like the woman and the thought of her with your baby made your blood boil. "I guess I can't say no."

"You can take some time alone if you want. I can take care of this." He wiped a smudge from the boys face, making him whine in annoyance.

"Are you sure?" Please say yes, you didn't want to deal with her right now.

"Yeah, why don't you go for a run? It's been a while since you had the chance to do that." He took the bag from you, balancing it and the baby.

"That does sound nice."

"Good, I'll see you in a bit then, take your time."

You gave both him and Jasper a kiss before they headed off to the palace, Sirius trailing behind. You headed towards the forest. The homies there had seen you often enough that they didn't question you, even if you weren't with Katakuri. They never talked to you though, they held a healthy fear of the Charlotte family and left you alone because of it.

Once you reached the edge of the woods, you relaxed and let the animal form take over. You shook yourself, getting adjusted to the fur that now covered your body and taking in the now amplified sights and smells. It had been far too long since you took this form, a few months at least. Shapeshifting took a bit of energy that you weren't willing to give up usually. Not when Jasper already wore you out all the time. You wouldn't change it for the world though. Despite everything, you loved him dearly.

You started at a trot, following whatever scent was the most interesting at the time before following a different one. It was a silly game you liked to play, it kept your nose keen and sometimes led to interesting finds. Eventually, a new scent hit you, a familiar one. Your tail swayed back and forth as you changed course towards it, picking up the pace a bit.

They didn't notice you, so you let out a low growl to announce your presence. A white rabbit, fully dressed with a hat to boot, jumped up and greeted you. "(Y/n)! I didn't realize you were here."

A crane stood beside him, nodding it's head vigorously. "It's been a while." It added.

The pair were Randolph and Crane, your two favorite homies. You gave them each a nudge with your nose. It was the closest you could get to a greeting in this form as talking was impossible.

"If you're here, you must be getting a run in. How does a race sound?" Crane suggested.

Every time you came to Whole Cake Island, you spent some time running around as a wolf in the forest. It was harder to find the time for it at home on Komugi Island and there was much more space for it here anyway.

You nodded and took on a playful stance, belly down with your hindquarters in the air. Your massive tail was whipping around hard enough to stir up a breeze.

"Great!" Randolph hopped on Crane's back. "We won't be beat this time!"

Every time you raced them, it was always to the palace gates, and you always won. It was thrilling every time. Most people couldn't catch up with you but Randolph and Crane posed a challenge at times.

Crane lined up beside you, muscles just as tense as yours, waiting for Randolph to give the signal.

"Go!" The rabbit cried out.

You and Crane sprang forward, weaving through the trees and other homies of the woods. Your path was littered with roots and underbrush but it made it all the more exciting. Nothing beat a good challenge. Muscles rolled under the layer of thick fur, already burning with complaint at the extended use. You were going to have to do this more often to avoid getting out of shape. This was almost pitiful.

You pinned your ears back and let out a growl. Randolph and Crane hadn't beat you yet and it was going to stay that way. They were even with you, Crane giving it his all while Randolph hacked and slashed at any obstacles with his sword.

You pushed yourself harder, sprinting at a blinding speed. Somehow it was still rather easy to pick through the forest and soon the trees began to thin out. One more push and you were out of the woods, Crane now following close behind.

This was the hard part now. There were no more obstacles as you were now in a rolling green Field. Randolph no longer had to clear a path for Crane so didn't need to keep steady from the wild swinging.

Just as quickly as you had gotten ahead, you lost your position and Crane shot in front. "You must be losing your touch (Y/n)!" Randolph yelled back.

Oh hell no. You lunged forward, muscles and lungs now practically screaming for you to stop. You bumped into Crane as you overtook them once again, almost at the gates. Your back paws dug into the ground as you skidded to a stop, body hitting the gates hard as you panted heavily. Crane padded to a more gentle stop after you.

"You win. Again." He was breathing just as hard as you.

With a sigh, you shifted back and sat on the ground. "Either you guys are getting better or I need to work out cause that was way too hard."

"You've probably been too busy with the little tyke to worry about all the little things like this, don't sweat it." Crane said.

Randolph perked up, his ears standing to attention. "Speaking of the boy, where is he?"

"Kata has him. Big Mom wanted to see him, they're probably done with her though." A hopeful look decorated your face, you missed them already.

"We'll let you go catch up then, we have work to get back to in the mean time. Come see us again before you leave!" They said their goodbyes and left, back towards the trees. Time to find your boys.

You hopped inside, body feeling a little sore still but you'd caught your breath. With your heightened sense of smell still lingering, it was easy to figure out where they were. It was a quick walk up a flight of stairs to the meeting room. You paused at the door. There was a new scent lingering strongly in the room.

You'd never met another Druid before but you could tell that was exactly what it was. And instead of excitement at meeting someone like you, you were on edge. Sirius was laying down against the wall, letting out a few whines in your direction.

You shoved the doors open and stepped in, scanning the room. Big Mom was sitting at the farthest end of the table that took up the room. Katakuri was standing to the left of her, looking uncomfortable. Another man you'd never seen before was to her right. He looked about a good foot taller than you and he was well built, muscles straining against his shirt. His long blonde hair was tied back in a pony tail and he wore a face comparable to a snake's with the way he eyed your son in his arms.

"I'm glad you could make it to say hello (Y/n)." Big Mom smiled at you, either oblivious to the tension in the room or she didn't care.

"It's nice to see you Mama." You hated calling her that but it kept her happy. You marched over to the strange man. "Could I see my son? He's due for a nap."

He handed the boy back with a sickly grin. "He's quite the cutie, I can't tell who he takes more after, you or the father."

Jasper grasped at your shirt and buried his face into your chest. Even he was uneasy about the man.

"I'm afraid I haven't introduced myself." He offered you a hand that you accepted gingerly, making your distaste with him obvious. "I'm Titus. You must be (Y/n), the wolf Druid."

"Yes. And what might you be?"

His eyes widened with his smile. "A quick one aren't you? Most of our kind have a hard time sensing other Druids. I'm a tiger myself." The longer you stood near him the more creeped out you felt.

"Well it was interesting meeting you but I'm afraid I'm going to have to take care of him." You bounced Jasper on your hip. "Sorry for the short visit Mama, I'll see you again soon."

She laughed. "Of course. I'd like to see my grandson again later."

Katakuri had to widen his strides to keep up with you as you left, feeling angry that the man, Titus, had a hold of Jasper. Everything about him felt dangerous, especially around your son.

"Mama insisted that he be allowed to touch Jasper." Katakuri hissed. He felt the same as you about the tiger Druid.

"It's okay. I figured it was something like that." Jasper was still burrowed against you but he was more relaxed now that Titus wasn't around. "He's bad news though. I don't want him touching Jasper again."

Katakuri nodded in agreement. He didn't show emotion freely often but right now he looked ready to kill. It was surprising he controlled himself so well in the meeting room. If Titus tried anything, he'd be lucky to avoid your partner's wrath.

Titus is another character of mine, but I don't have any art of him unfortunately. Sorry guys!
