Chiffon's Wedding
(A/n)
I'm working on bringing this to a close so there will be only a few more chapters (in theory) but I'll work on a continuation of this story after a while so yee. In the mean time, I'd love suggestions for what you guys would like to read for another OP x Reader that I can work on along with the x Kid one I'm doing.
Katakuri was a little grumbly in the morning. You told him you were going to help Chiffon get ready so you wouldn't see him again until right before the wedding. You figured it'd be worth it, he wouldn't see you dressed up until then either.
Dress in hand, you knocked at Chiffon's door. There was some shuffling and voices going back and forth before Pudding came to the door. "Hey (Y/n)! We already beat you here." She giggled.
"We?" You didn't expect to see anyone else here but Chiffon and a crew to help her get ready.
"Yes we~" Smoothie popped up behind her sister and pulled you in. "We were so happy to hear that you were helping Chiffon that we decided to join in on the fun."
Brûlèe was off to the side, pulling the wedding dress over Chiffon's head. "Glad you could make it (Y/n)!"
Once dressed, the bride bounced up to you. "Oh I'm so glad you're here! I haven't had time to tell you but Bege has been a dream, he's been so good to me already!"
You smiled brightly at her. "Good! I knew things would work out for you in the end!" You gave her hand a pat. "Now let them get your hair and makeup done. I still have to get ready myself."
She nodded happily before taking a seat, letting her little crew get to work.
Pudding gasped. "I forgot my own dress! I'm going to go get it, I'll be right back!" She sped out of the room as the rest of you started getting ready together, excited chatter filling the room the whole time.
Within a couple hours, everyone was all set to go. You looked over yourself in the mirror, excited to meet up with your husband. You looked good and couldn't wait for him to see. Your dress was a light shade of grey with an a line, floor length fit. The bust was covered in little white gems that trickled down to the waist, creating an almost rain like effect. The skirt and straps, funny enough, were made with chiffon. One side of the skirt had a slit that went up to just above mid thigh. A pair of simple white heels finished the look.
It hugged all the right curves. Soon you wouldn't be able to wear things like this, so you were going to while you still had the chance. You left your makeup simple and more muted, besides the fact that Smoothie insisted on adding sparkles with your eyeshadow, it looked good though. Your hair was pinned up with the exception of some strategically loose ringlets (sorry all you short hair people, imagine what you like with this).
Pudding and Brûlèe chose to dress more simply but they still looked good. Smoothie decided to dress as sexily as possible. Her tight fitted little red dress left little to the imagination, but she was happy with it.
As you all prepared to leave, there was a knock at the door. You decided to answer it and to your delight, Katakuri stood in front of you, dressed to the nines. You'd never seen him in a suit, besides your own wedding day of course, and he looked great in it. The suit was black with a white shirt but he wore a grey tie with it that suspiciously matched your dress. He still wore his scarf of course.
"Stop gawking at each other and leave you to!" Brûlèe shooed you away. "We'll take care of Chiffon from here." She gave you a wink and closed the door behind you, leaving the two of you now in the hall together.
Katakuri took one of your hands in his and lifted it above your head. "Do a little spin for me." You giggled and did just that, earning a sharp intake of breath from your husband.
"I'm letting them take you dress shopping every time we need one from now on." His eyes kept traveling up and down your body appreciatively.
"You like it?" Of course he did, you wanted to hear it though.
"I do." He rumbled. "Now what do you say we go to the party hall with every one else?"
----
You finally got to see Capone Bege and despite his scowl and rough features, he looked just as happy as Chiffon to be there. They truly seemed to enjoy each other's company. Big Mom seemed highly interested in her own daughter's event but Chiffon had filled you in on the grueling details a few days ago. About how Big Mom has held a grudge against her twin sister for running away from her own arranged marriage, leaving Chiffon to suffer from her mother's anger. She didn't blame her sister, Lola, though, and now she would get the chance to leave with a man she loved. Things were working out for her in the end.
Her wedding was very similar to yours. There was a huge banquet of course and the drinks flowed like water. The cake was huge and looked beautiful. The dance floor was filled with happy people, yourself and Katakuri for some time as well. He insisted on dancing with you much more than he did at your wedding, maybe because the two of you didn't quite love each other before.
It surprised you and annoyed Katakuri when a couple of his brothers cut in a few different times to dance with you. He didn't want to be rude though, so he'd let them. But not without shooting them dirty looks first. One of them so happened to be Cracker. Though he took much joy in teasing you often, he'd definitely become more and more like a real brother to you. And he spent much of his dance with you cracking jokes about other guests instead of poking fun at you for once.
"I hate to cut this short Cracker," he smiled at you as you tried to stop your fit of giggles from his last comment about some guys attire. "But I haven't had the chance to talk to the couple of the day yet and I think now's a good time."
He looked over to Chiffon and Bege. They were sitting alone at a table, chatting quietly with smiles on their faces. "I think you're right, I'll let Katakuri know you'll be free in a few minutes, unless you'd like to spend more time with me that is."
You laughed. "As charming as you are, I'd love to see more of my husband."
Cracker chuckled and released his grip on your hand and waist. "Alright, do yourself a favor and don't try to outdo those two tonight. We all know how you and Katakuri can be." He scurried away before you could smack him for the comment.
You settled on rolling your eyes even if he was too far away to see it and moved over to Chiffon and Bege's table, getting their attention before sitting by your sister. "Ah, this is her Bege!" Chiffon grabbed one of your hands in hers. "This is my sister I've been telling you about, (Y/n)!"
Bege offered you his hand and you shook it. "Wonderful to meet you." He spoke around the cigar in his mouth.
"Likewise." You smiled and nodded. "I wanted to see you guys before the day was through but it seems Katakuri and some of his brothers have been making things difficult."
"You're Katakuri's wife?" He raised a questioning eyebrow. "Word of you has spread quite far since you married into the family. Druids are a rare find nowadays."
"I didn't realize I've become so popular." You really didn't, but it's not like you paid attention to too much around you or went places.
"You have my dear, if I'm not mistaken, I believe you even have a bounty out for you."
"Really? I didn't even do anything." It didn't bother you, if anything, you were curious for how much. It's not like someone would try collecting your bounty with Katakuri around anyway.
"Apparently marrying into the family was enough of a crime for the Marines."
You laughed. "I guess so. Well, anyway, I'm glad to see you two enjoying yourselves. I won't take up any more of your time. Chiffon," you turned to your sister. "take care of yourself, don't be afraid to drop by and see Kata and me or if you can't, just give us a call."
She started crying softly. "Oh, (Y/n) you've been so wonderful to me. I look forward to spending more time with you."
"Of course!" You got up and kissed her on the cheek. "Now have fun together." With a wave, you walked off to find your husband sitting in a corner by himself, sneakily eating out of a bag of jelly beans when no one was looking.
You sat beside him and held out a hand. He sprinkled a few of the beans in your hand and you munched on them happily. They were just about the only sweet treat you could handle as of right now so he'd been keeping a bag handy all the time.
"They look good together." He spoke through his scarf.
"Mhmm. Bege seems like an alright guy. Chiffon loves him at least."
He nodded. "Want to get out of here?"
"I thought you'd never ask." You grinned at him and the two of you left the party hall to retire to your room for the evening.
