Morality arrived quickly with the help of Virgil's teleporting. With the state of everyone, Morality was quick to assist Virgil with bringing them back home.
"Wait," Morality says as he glances at Janus. "What about Deceit?"
"What about him?" Virgil asks harshly as he adjusts an unconscious Logan in his arms.
"We can't just leave him here, he's injured." Patton insists, frowning as Virgil growled.
"We can't take him with us! Are you insane?!"
"He's bleeding! He needs medical attention! We're heroes Virgil, just because he's a villain doesn't mean we can't help him! It's not right just to leave him! He could bleed out! Or get an infection!"
Huffing, Virgil clenches his jaw and looks between the injured Villain and a determined-yet slightly pleading-Patton.
"Fine!" He gives in harshly, gritting his teeth together as he adjusts Logan who is limp in his arms, if it wasn't for his chest slowly moving up and down, Virgil would have assumed he was dead honestly. Holding Logan and having him there and silent felt unnerving. Logan doesn't talk nearly as much or as loud as Roman or Remus, but when he does speak, it's passionate and usually about nerdy facts he knows and intelligent nonsense that no one understands. Either it's that or he's listening to everyone around curiously, he knows everything about everyone because he listens and learns. Virgil admires this about him.
Patton shoots him a grateful smile and quickly lifts Janus, they all have abnormal levels of strength, carrying a full-grown man is nothing to any of them, if they can carry a car, they can carry Janus. He grabs Virgil's hand, despite his angered expression and the anxiety-ridden man teleports them home.
The first thing he noticed was that Roman looked terrible.
He's pale and sweated profusely, he's breathing heavily and seems to be struggling. He scanned him and didn't see him bleeding anywhere though.
"Remus, where was Roman hurt?" Patton asks, stripping him of his suit, pressing against his skin, he can heal injuries, but he needs to know the full extent of his injuries, as the more fatal and serious ones require large amounts of magic.
"He was punched in the jaw." Remus staggers out, gritting his teeth through the pain.
"That's it?" Patton asks, frowning.
"Ankle," Roman hisses.
"What?" Patton asks, his eyes darting to his ankle.
"My ankle-" He gasps slightly and hisses as his chest burned in irritation. "It hurts!"
Patton glanced down and gasped at how utterly swollen it appeared, his mind is frantic, it's no surprise he nearly missed it. "Were there snakes?!"
"Yeah!" Remus says, swallowing harshly. "Is he gonna be okay?"
"It must if been a Cobra...or a rattlesnake," Patton mumbles to himself as he begins to rummage through his drawer filled with anti-venoms. He is a licensed doctor and used to work as a vet, however, the animal deaths became too much for him.
"Pat! Is he going to be okay?" Remus repeats, clearly panicking. Virgil backs away slowly, wrapping his arms around himself, watching numbly as Patton injects the anti-venom into Roman. He yelps loudly and whines. Patton is quick to stand over him and focus his magical ability on him. The combination of his powers and the anti-venom should be enough, however, the venom from a Cobra is deadly, most people who aren't treated immediately can die within merely an hour.
"He's going to be fine Remus," Patton says softly, injecting a second dose of the treatment into him, most people suffering from Cobra bites need at least six vails, however, depending on the severity of the said bite, the amount can round up to twenty vials, it all depends on the patient. Patton is hoping with the mixture of his powers and the anti-venom, Roman will make a full recovery.
"Are you sure?" Remus asks anxiously, though, his brother was already looking better, it'll take quite a bit of time to fully recover, but it won't take nearly as long for a regular human, as they all have heightened immune systems as well.
"Yes," Patton says, bandaging the bite. "I wish my powers could flush out the venom but it doesn't work that way. Because it's not a bone or muscle, I can't fix it, however, I can increase his body's immune system, watch the bruising, and help him breathe so I'm confident Roman will recover." Patton insists, ignoring his rapid heartbeat.
He moves on to Janus next, stripping him of his suit and cleaning his sliced arm, bandaging it. He could have healed it, but he's feeling rather weak, having used quite the amount of magic on Roman. To be fair, his injury was urgent and far more deadly. As long as Janus' wounds are cleaned and bandaged, Patton can heal them in a few hours. He bandages his ankles as well before finally helping Remus with his ribs.
He felt a bit guilty leaving him in pain for so long, but fixing a bone doesn't take much energy, and it's the easiest one to repair. He had to prioritize over who needed his attention right then and there, just like in the emergency room, some patients need urgent care.
"This is all his fault, I can't believe we helped him! Look at what he has done!" Virgil hisses, gesturing towards Roman, scowling as Patton sighed, checking Logan. He seems to be drained, but otherwise unharmed.
"Virgil, please, if we left him he would have bled out," Patton argues, placing a cold rag on Logan's forehead, as it's feeling a bit warm.
"But he almost killed Roman!"
"I can bring Roman back!"
"You can only do it so many times Patton! You know this! Remember Emile?!"
Patton shrinks at the mention of said name and Virgil's eyes widen in realization. He snaps a hand over his mouth and steps back. "Pat..."
"No," Patton says softly with a sigh. "You're right."
"Pat I didn't-"
"It's okay," Patton urges, offering a soft smile, glancing at Remus who stared between the two intensely. "You want help getting to bed? You must be exhausted."
Remus shakes his head and carefully climbs off the medical beds Patton has lined up in what they call the Hospital Room. "I got it, just keep me updated." He mumbles and trudges out of the room. He wanted to stay, but he felt an overwhelming feeling of guilt. How could he let this happen? He knows a lot about snakes, mainly the weird or disturbing facts about them, he should have noticed a Cobra!
"I'm going to bring Teach to his room," Virgil mumbles quietly, lifting Logan's bridal style. He could imagine exactly what he would say if he were awake.
He would probably be blushing, he grows flustered at any source of praise or affection. He would probably say something among the lines "Let go! As much as I appreciate that they finally have legalized gay marriage in all fifty states, supposedly, I am not at all prepared to become a spouse!"
Virgil snorts at his thoughts. Yep, that's exactly what he would say.
Patton watched Virgil leave and glanced at his two patients, sighing as he checked Janus for any weapons before exiting the room, he has a feeling these next few weeks are going to be interesting.
Not to mention, how are they going to hide their identities now?
