A few days later Nik had given a daggered Elijah to Marcel as a peace offering. I now refused to talk to him, so in hopes of blowing off some steam I took Sophia out into tow to go and explore. Nik had compelled me to keep quiet about the whole daggering Elijah, that was right after he apologised for what he had done and what he was about to do.

Taking my daughter we went into the city buying some new things for both of our rooms.

"Where shall we go next baby?" she looked around and pointed to a dress shop. I smiled

"Well let's go then." we headed in and I looked through the dresses, for me and they even had some toddler dresses.

"Oh I think this will look adorable on you" I smiled picking out a of white light pink dress

"What do you think Little Duck"

"Pretty"

"Then it's yours"

"Daddy" she chirped my smiled dropped

"Daddy's not here sweetie" she pointed up. "Daddy 1" I looked up and furrowed my eyebrows.

"can i help you" a shop girl asked. I stood up washing away my daughter's odd behaviour.

"Yes I'd like to buy these please" she nodded and I paid walking outside we were stopped.

"What's this then a baby werewolf. Marcel will want to know about this." the vampire smirked as I pulled my daughter into my arms.

"She's not a werewolf" I ran to the car and put her in. I turned round and the vampires were back.

"Baby close your eyes" I saw her shut them then I turned around and bit both of them getting in the car I drove off and back to the house.

"Hayley!" she came downstairs.

"What is it?"

"How do you feel about babysitting for half an hour"

"I'm not sure"

"Thanks i owe you one" I left Sophia with Hayley and went to see Marcel.

"Hello Marcel" he turned round

"Bethany what can I do for you." he smiled

"I need to talk to you in private, don't worry I won't kill him" his friends stood up to protest.

"It's alright. Come with me." he led me into the back room where he and Klaus had a drink.

"What can i do for you."

"I want you to know something, because before I even think of going murderous raging bitch I think you should know why."

"You have my interest is peeked go on."

"I won't give you all the ins and out because its none of your business. But I have a 1 year old daughter." he coughed his drink up

"Yes I know shocker, but she was conceived when I was human then a whole bunch of things happened. But having me as a mother she has the werewolf gene, being so young she hasn't triggered it and if I have anything to say she won't. Now I get my family are not so high on your friends list but I hope you have some decency in you to not harm a child."

"That I do" he recovered

"Good, I was hoping so. My daughter is not a threat to you or this town, but if two of your day walkers threaten her again then I will be a problem. You see where I'm coming from don't you. I am a mother and I'm protecting my child"

"Yes and I presume the two vampires you've bitten" I smiled

"So they came home, yes that was me." I replied

"I'm not here to be your enemy Marcel, I just want to live here with what family I have left thanks to my narcissistic psychotic brother in law. You have your rules, you enforce I have mine. And the main one is the simplest one. My child does not come to any harm. So are you up for a deal?"

"What kind of deal?"

"I will give you one dose of my blood to heal one vampire. Just one, I know you get showing an example of force . And in return you make sure your day and night walkers stay away from my child and don't hurt her." he thought about it.

"Just one?"

"Just One? your sires need to know I mean business when I comes to my daughter. Healing one is an act of good faith to show that as long as I'm not bothered by you or them. Then I won't bother or kill you in return. here" I grabbed a glass and bit my hand letting enough blood fall. It healed and I held the glass.

"Do we have a deal?"

"Of course" I smiled and handed the glass over

"Have a nice day Marcel"
