My phone rang while I slept waking me up. I groaned ad shuffled around.

"Bethany stop that blaring noise" Elijah grumbled next to me I sat up and picked up my phone seeing it was Nik.

"What the fuck Nik" I huffed grabbing my robe and leaving the bedroom.

"Didn't interrupt any extra circular activates with my dear brother did I?" Nik's amused voice rang through the phone.

"Do you want me to come kick your arse? No I wasn't making hot passionate love with Elijah, We were sleeping and you interrupted it."

"Good, now, my little sidekick fancy going on adventure" I looked at the living room clock.

"You woke me up at 3 am to ask if I wanted to go on an adventure." I growled

"Yes, so what will it be"

"Screw you Nik" I hung up and grabbed a glass of blood.

"No need to be like that love" I jumped seeing him outside the kitchen window

"What the fuck Niklaus!" I opened the door. He was just smiling his British head off.

"So, adventure me and you?"

"We don't have adventures we have trips where you want something done and I come along to act scary and be awesome. Last of which you dagger my husband and I turned my emotions off." I folded my arms but held my blood.

"Bethany what on earth is going on?" Elijah came in.

"Ah brother there you are, so lovely to see you."

"Enough with the charming bull, where and why do you want me to go on a trip with you?"

"New Orleans, heard there was a witch conspiring against me and I thought what the hell lets cause some trouble with my partner in crime. So are you up for it love?"

"Nik I'm a wife and mother you expect me to drop everything and be your wing woman in trouble you can forget it" I walk off.

"Bethany?" Elijah called walking into Sophia's room. She slept peacefully.

"Yes Elijah"

"I believe it is in the best interests of my brother and our family if you accompany him on this trip" I snap my head around.

"You are kidding me, I thought I said I wanted for us to be a family, how can I be that if I constantly leave to babysit Nik."

"You won't be babysitting him"

"Yeah he'll encourage me to cause trouble and I will. I'm supposed to be a role model" He sighed and looked at me.

"If Niklaus thinks someone is conspiring against him then he will spiral out of control like usual at least he will somewhat refrain from doing that with you around."

"That's because I'll proberly end up doing it for him." I stood up

"Fine but just this once I want to be a normal mother to my daughter I'm not leaving her again after this. Wherever we go we got together" I went and packed my things before changing and going downstairs.

"Hello love"

"Fuck off Nik" I dropped my stuff in his arms and turned to my husband. I kissed him.

"If anything happens Pippa will be around and I will be back soon anyway. I love you"

"As I love you" I kissed him again and left.

We go on the road and when we arrived into New Orleans's I slept in the car and was awoken by my annoying brother in law.

"So where first?" I asked running a hand through my hair.

"French Quarter to find a witch" He replied and we walked past I felt someone bump be as they went past.

"Oh sorry!" a woman smiled

"It's alright" I continued walking with Nik.

"Welcome to the dark side of New Orleans. A supernatural playground where the living are easily lost and the dead stick around to play." we heard a tour guide announce. I shared and amused look with Nik as we crossed the road. We made it to the Quarter and Nik led us to a woman who was a witch I was guessing. She started packing up when she saw us. Nik sat down smirking and I folded my arms across my chest.

"Good Afternoon, time for one more?" he asked

"I have nothing to say to you." she said

"oh that's not very amiable is it? You don't even know who I am"

"I know what you are and her too. Half vampire, half beast you're the hybrids"

"I'm the Original Hybrid and she's sort of the same as well but that's a story for another time...We're looking for someone a witch perhaps you be able to help us find her. Jane-Anne Deveraux " she sighted awkwardly.

"sorry i don't know?" she lied and Nik sat forward

"well that's a fib isn't it. Now you see i know that you're a true witch amongst this sea of posers. So enough with the fabrications I have quite a temper." I snorted

"Ain't that the truth"

"The witches don't talk out of school in the quarter, the vampire won't allow it. Those are the rules, I don't break Marcel's rules." who was Marcel? I wondered But Nik did.

"Marcel's rules, and where do you supposed I might find Marcel?"

"There is a bar about a mile from here you can't miss it" he stood up and we went to leave but the witch grabbed my wrist.

"Everything you know is about to change Hybrid, I sense that magic has befallen you in a mysterious way."

"get your hands of my niece" Nik growled pulling my wrist away.
