standing there frozen, he watched the tall male staring down at him looking so shocked by his sight. they stood there for a good minute, enough for johnny to imprint the short male's beauty inside his head and enough for the other to read what's inside the visitor's mind.

and he let out a chuckle when he heard the tall male cursing at his beauty.

the vampire's chuckle was enough to slap johnny real hard back to his senses. he then went flustered about his weird action. ❝i stared for too long, haven't i?❞ the other nodded his head slowly, causing for johnny to space out again but shook his head before the vampire gets a wrong impression of him. ❝i'm not a creep, i swear.❞

the short male didn't speak but had a small smile on as he raised a brow.

❝i'm just..❞ holy jesus, why does he look so good at everything he does? johnny then gulped. ❝shaken by your beauty.❞

he actually didn't need to say it out, the vampire can hear him inside his head. what made the vampire not hold back his laugh was the amount of times the tall male cursed inside his head.

❝wait no!❞ johnny shook his head. ❝i mean yeah, you're beautiful and all, but i'm totally not a creep okay? ugh, i sound like one.❞ and again, he mentally cursed. ❝your beauty is just—❞

❝yeah?❞

sugar honey iced tea, even his voice sounds like an angel singing so heavenly.

now, johnny is definitely malfunctioning. ❝hi, i'm daddy.❞

the vampire was taken aback by the name he introduced. that wasn't the name he heard last time, neither was it the name his friends gave him. but then he realized that it really isn't the man's name as he heard him panic inside that heas of his.

❝i mean, i'm johnny! i'm not daddy.❞ johnny groaned as he slapped his face, hating himself for being so confusing at the moment. he wanted to be subtle and not show that he's really affected by how beautiful the vampire is. ❝well, you can call me daddy if you want— but no! we are still not on that stage.❞

the vampire isn't even listening to whatever the human is blabbering about. what's invading his mind is what this human is doing here. he clearly doesn't remember him, that's was the vampire is sure about. he didn't know if he should be happy or be hurt by that. but seriously, how can this human not remember him? he can't even recognize his voice, the vampire swore that he scream so loud that specific night.

wait, what if he does remember and is here to take his child?

❝woah.❞ johnny took a step back with his hand raised across his chest for defense when he saw the vampire at a position to charge. ❝i come here in peace, mister vampire.❞

❝what are you doing here?❞ he isn't even a wolf, but a vampire, yet he growled at the tall man because of the thought of him being here to get his child.

but then, hearing his thoughts made him get flustered.

johnny sighed, he's still beautiful and hot even when mad. that thought of his made the vampire calm down for a slight bit, but he didn't know that. ❝jaehyun sent me here.❞

jaehyun? the vampire's blood then boiled. did jaehyun betray him and now used this person against him just to get his child? only his friends knew that he had did it once with a human but only jaehyun and yuta knew about him having a child with a human. ❝you need to leave.❞

❝but jaehyun told me to—❞

the vampire then lost control and jumped towards the large body built, tackling him and the two flew quite a distance away from the house. johnny didn't expect that to happen, neither did he expect it to hurt so much. he could have sworn the he heard a crack on his back. that's it, his bones probably broke.

but thinking about it, johnny didn't really care that much. he could die right there and he'd still accept his fate. not like he has something better to do and something to contribute in this burden century of theirs. he has no job, no family, he can't lean towards his friends all the time and he doesn't even have a lot of them so might as well die.

he had enough.

his life was at risk but he still had something to say. for someone small, the vampire sure has the strength to knock out a large guy.

❝i'm not small!❞ the vampire sat on the human's stomach and looked straight down at him with a glare in those blood red eyes of his.

johnny laid there frozen, the pain was completely forgotten as something interesting took his attention. ❝i didn't say something.❞ he only thought of it.

the vampire can read his mind.

the short male took both of johnny's wrist and pinned it up on his head, leaning down and was ready to kill the human if he makes a wrong move. it doesn't matter who he is, he never appeared most of his life anyways so he is considered as a nobody in his life despite of him being a reason of why he's struggling right now.

❝took you long enough.❞ the vampire leaned down and had their foreheads touched, making johnny blush real hard.

but of course, their moment had to be ruined by a phone ringtone. that didn't stop the vampire from resting his forehead on his though. ❝h-hey.❞ dang, his heart was really beating very fast at their position. ❝i know we just met and all, and this is such a sweet position to be in before i die, but someone is calling me.❞

❝that's jaehyun.❞

❝oh then—❞ johnny blinked awkwardly when the the vampire moved their faces away, far enough for the human to see him looking confused. ❝before i die, can i just tell jaehyun how stupid he is? like, who on earth gets mistaken between a spoon and a knife?❞

the vampire had his brows furrowed, not because of the human awfully ready to die but because him not being able to read any purpose of him being here. no bad intentions were inside his head.

❝mister vampire?❞

❝ten, let go of him.❞

a gush of air suddenly went pass by them and the leaves surrounding them flew up in circles. the next second, someone familiar was now crouching right next to johnny and had his hand on the vampire's chest before he gets any close to johnny and suck his life from him.

❝jaehyun?❞ johnny felt dissapointed when ten loosened his grip on his wrist. as odd as it sounds, johnny was actually ready to die. ❝damn, i was about to find out if humans and vampires goes to the same heaven.❞

johnny sat up once the small vampire got off from him and widened his eyes when the vampire charged towards jaehyun. johnny then quickly stood up, dusting his pants and ran towards jaehyun who's now pinned to a tree by the short vampire. he may be a human but no one hurts his friend, especially when it's someone who saved him from the evil in the world.

knowing what the human is planning to do, the small vampire turned around and has his bloody eyes looking straight to johnny who's running towards them. jaehyun clicked his tongue and gripped on to the vampire's shirt before he goes and attack johnny. while doing that, he had his fingers motioning towards johnny and looking at him with focused eyes, johnny stopped and felt himself being thrown away towards the house.

lucky for the human, he landed on the sofa. unfortunately, the door closed and prevented him from going out of the house.

instead of getting up, johnny sighed and laid there peacefully. ❝what am i even thinking on going up against a vampire?❞

now it was jaehyun and the short vampire left outside.

one having the urge to fight and the other busy finding the right words to explain. okay, maybe yuta was right. jaehyun should have told at least one of them then this wouldn't have happened.

❝what are you doing!?❞ the short male was going crazy when he saw johnny being thrown inside his house but jaehyun was holding him back from going there to protect his child. ❝let go of me, my son is there!❞

❝ten let me explain—❞

❝explain what?❞ ten eyed his house, hoping that the human isn't taking his child, before looking back at jaehyun with teary eyes. he couldn't believe that his friend would do this to him, he trusted jaehyun. ❝i hate you!❞

❝oh fuck.❞ jaehyun sighed. he then let go of ten. expecting for him to ran towards the house but surprisingly, he didn't. he then sat down the ground with his legs crossed before burying his head on the palms of his hand. ❝i'm probably the worst cupid alive.❞

❝you're a vampire.❞ the short male, which goes by the name of ten, said. staring down at jaehyun and tried to read what's going on inside the male's head. but then, all he could hear was yuta's voice telling him that everything he is doing is wrong. ❝jaehyun, what the heck?❞

❝okay fine.❞ the regretful vampire raised both his hands up in defeat. ❝i'm trying to set you both up.❞

staring back at his house, ten tried to connect himself with the human inside and sighed in relief when he saw the human riding a unicorn inside his head. he probably is sleeping which is good. ❝why would you do that?❞

❝so like—❞ jaehyun then looked up with his brows furrowed. not knowing where to start but had a question in mind. ❝does he remember you?❞

❝no, he doesn't.❞ and knowing that made him confused whether to be happy about it or not. ❝jaehyun, why would you bring him here? i panicked thinking that you betrayed me and went to get my son.❞

❝it's also his son.❞

ten shook his head, not wanting to agree with that. ❝my son.❞

❝ten, the kid has his blood.❞

❝where was he when he was born?❞

jaehyun gave the short male a look. ❝why did you run away after you two did it?❞ standing up, jaehyun went closer to him and towered over his small figure. ❝i know him well and he could have took responsibility of everything. if only you didn't run away and just introduced yourself properly.❞

❝it was a mistake. we were drunk and we weren't thinking straight.❞ ten turned around. ❝bring him home jaehyun, he doesn't need to take responsibility.❞

❝he doesn't have one.❞ jaehyun then realized what he said. ❝well, he lives with us but— oh you get me.❞

❝he'll get killed if he joins this mess.❞ ten said, wanting to scare jaehyun of his friend's life.

but the vampire only shrugged. ❝he already entered the mess the moment he planted his seed inside you. and then boom, a beautiful mess.❞

ten turned around and hid the fact that he was flustered hearing that from jaehyun. ❝he's an innocent human being.❞

jaehyun then scoffed at that statement. ❝bold of you to think that he's innocent.❞ he then received a look from the older male and made his drop the jokes, although it was really a fact. since when is johnny innocent? ❝he already lost his purpose in life. he's always ready to die, which scares me sometimes, that's why i think it's time to spice up his life.❞

hearing that made ten recall a while ago when he tackled johnny to the ground. the human isn't even a slight bit scared of losing his life, he didn't care. he was shocked, of course, but he didn't think of panicking. the human even is waiting for him to take his life. ❝and then you think this is the perfect thing to make his life interesting?❞

❝well, i haven't told him about it yet but yeah.❞ jaehyun gave the male a sheepish smile. ❝having a half blood child is interesting.❞

❝and is also against the rules.❞ ten groaned at jaehyun's plan that isn't thought out thoroughly. ❝what would he do if he finds out? what if he dies of panic once he finds out? what if he runs away and leaves us? jaehyun, there's a lot of possibility that i don't like to happen and might as well not let him in our lives. we are already fine alone, just me and my baby.❞

❝trust me, he'll be happy if he finds out about having a family.❞ jaehyun the frowned as he thought of another thing. ❝although, he'll be surprised at first but everything will go well. i can reassure you that.❞

❝how do you know?❞ ten questioned, not sure if he should trust him in that.

❝i knew him ever since he was a kid. i saved him, took him in, and practically raised him.❞ jaehyun then found it weird, it's like calling himself a parent. ❝well, it was taeyong who took care of him till he turned into an adult. even though, he still treats us his friends even though that happened.❞

ten raised a brow, still finding his trust for him.

❝oh come on, he's easy to read.❞ jaehyun said, also pointing out the ability of this vampire he is talking to. ❝you can read him and find out if something happens.❞

❝i hate you so much for this.❞ jaehyun may not have the ability to read minds but he know ten doesn't really hate him, even for doing this. ten should actually be a little bit thankful that jaehyun is trying to fix their family together and is basically taking part of their mess.

❝oh, and i'm not going to be telling him about this.❞ jaehyun chuckled, turning around as he was ready to leave the area and go back to yuta who's probably still silencing lucas from crying a river. ❝i'll leave that job to you.❞

❝what!?❞

❝work things out, alright? i made him a babysitter for your son.❞ jaehyun gave him a smile before zooming out from the vampire's sight.

ten was left there, groaning at jaehyun for throwing problems one by one at him. but what's important is that they're safe. if no one is going to find out bout them then everyone will be fine, his son will be safe.

johnny then shot his eyes open when he died in his dream. he was happily riding a unicorn and something suddenly happened that it crashed to a rainbow tree. he doesn't even know how and why he dreamt of that.

but it shocked him how he got to sleep that quickly. it usually takes him hours being away laying down before he could sleep.

having his eyes on the ceiling, he panicked for a moment finding everything far from being his room. then it hit him, he's a a vampire's house. a beautiful vampire who almost killed him. and yet jaehyun made him work here to babysit the vampire's baby.

he's thinking twice about it. maybe he should find another job, a job that can lead him to an amazing death. like a police, died because of saving a person. yeah, that sounds cool.

his thoughts was then cut off when the door was pushed opened and greeted him a sight of that beautiful, small, vampire. great, he can talk to him about babysitting and finally leave—

❝you're hired.❞
