forcing his eyes open, twenty adjusted his eye sight to the light before he sat up from his bed. a wide smile was plastered on his face before climbing down the bed, almost falling on his buns. nothing mattered to him but a specific someone that he was excited to play with.

❝oof,❞ he huffed very loudly as he jumped to reach for the door knob, pulling the door open before walking out of the room.

smelling pancakes from the kitchen, twenty had a crazy idea to climb up from the stairs' railings and slid down there as if was a much more faster way to get down.

❝wee!❞ he chuckled when he landed perfectly with style.

not wasting anymore time, the little vampire sprinted towards the kitchen and was greeted by his papa who was humming to a song he is not yet familiar with. with a smile, he happily hopped towards ten and gave his papa one tight hug by the legs.

❝papa, papa!❞ he pulled the jeans with his two small hands to get his papa's attention.

covering the pot he had heated up, ten turned around and picked up his baby who's quite happy in the morning making him wonder why. ❝what has gotten my baby excited?❞

twenty gave ten his most cutest laugh as he placed both his soft hands on his papa's cheeks, squishing them in the process. ❝where is giant?❞

ten was trying his hardest not to wipe that smile off from his face, he didn't want his son to suspect something. instead, he placed the kid down to one of the chairs by the table and crouched down in front, playing with his hair while embracing the silence for seconds.

❝papa?❞ ten didn't answer his question, making twenty question.

still having a smile on his face, ten patted his son's head. ❝stay here while i make breakfast, okay?❞

❝but what about daddy, papa?❞

daddy? ten chuckled. ❝who are you referring as daddy?❞

clapping his hands upon remembering johnny made twenty excited once more. ❝giant!❞ he just can't want to play with him and simply just have him as his company.

he could see how attached the kid is to johnny and he might have seen this coming. he didn't know who to blame, was it jaehyun's fault for acting like a cupid (when he clearly is not) and tried to get them together? was it johnny's fault for always causing trouble, even though ten doesn't think that way? ten sighed, he can't blame anyone. he mostly blamed himself though because he knew. he knew that all of this would happen, everyone tried to warn him but still did nothing to stop it from happening.

he blamed himself because he, too, got too attached to that human.

❝you and johnny play too much of these family games.❞ ten said, ❝i won't be shocked if you suddenly adopt him to this family.❞

twenty nodded his head, despite of ten's back facing him, ❝i want giant to be my daddy.❞

ten also wanted johnny to be his daddy— widening his eyes at the thought, he shook his head. ❝his mindset is rubbing on me.❞

❝papa, don't you want giant to be part of this family?❞

he didn't want to admit it at first but being with johnny for the past months made him change his mind. that maybe, maybe if he told johnny the truth then he might take responsibility. that maybe if he would apologize to johnny for running away and not facing him after they did it, he would be forgiven. that maybe if johnny would complete this family, they'd be happy.

maybe if he tells johnny that he had fallen, he'd catch him.

❝breakfast is ready!❞ he then changed the topic, wishing that the food would make up for him not answering the kid's question. ❝eat well, twenty.❞

❝papa,❞ but twenty didn't want to touch his food until he finds out what was happening. he couldn't see johnny anywhere, neither can he sense him inside the house, and ten is dodging all the questions about him. ❝where is giant?❞

sighing, ten went to place a piece of pancake down the baby's plate before finally gathering some guts to answer. ❝i gave giant some day off.❞

hearing that made twenty's lips quiver, tears were threatening to fall down from his now glossy eyes. ❝giant is gone?❞

❝he might be, for a while.❞

he couldn't bear the thought of his giant not being around him, especially when it gets a little lonely at home most of the times. ❝i won't see giant anymore? papa?❞

that, ten doesn't know. he felt back asking johnny to go home for a couple of days because he needed time and space to think. ❝twenty, don't you want to eat the pancakes that papa made?❞

❝i'm sad.❞ it was the first that twenty had talked back to him, not with a harsh tone though. like what he said, twenty was too sad to even raise his voice at ten. ❝papa, are you mad at giant?❞

seeing the kid come down from his seat made ten widen his eyes, thinking that he'd run to his room and lock himself.

❝twenty—❞ but no, the kid went to him and held his hand.

❝giant is not bad shit papa!❞

just before he could scold at twenty for shouting at him, ten was already lost from the thoughts he was suddenly seeing.

these were all twenty's memories. twenty is showing him his memories with johnny.

ten then gasped when he saw one specific one where they had went out of the house. this was the time when he and jaehyun dinner with his father. he knew something was up but he didn't expect them actually fucking things up this bad.

so much for actually wanting johnny back. his blood boiled (he doesn't have blood) seeing that johnny broke the very first rule he had asked him to follow.

but that anger soon replaced with worry when another memory of johnny protecting twenty was shown to him. johnny had scratched his hand, thus explaining that cloth wrapped around his hand when he saw him. he was even going up against a vampire. a harmless human like him going up against a vampire just to protect twenty.

ten flinched when he saw taeyong charging towards the wild vampire which shocked ten once he found out that it was doyoung.

the last thing he had seen was taeyong treating johnny's bruise while scolding him before he got back to his senses and was finally inside the kitchen with twenty now crying.

carrying his baby up, ten put him in a tight embrace while he was still recovering from what he had just saw. ❝are you okay? are you hurt anywhere?❞

twenty shook his head, sniffling his tears away. ❝don't get mad at giant. i know papa doesn't want me to go out but i asked giant to bring me outside.❞

❝twenty..❞

the little vampire brought his hands up to wipe the tears while he continued, ❝giant is a good guy. he wants to make me happy. he also wants to make papa happy.❞

hearing that makes ten remember the times johnny would always tease him, make fun of him, make a mess inside the house, and would always even ask him to play. all of those, ten knew it was just for him to form a bond with him. he could read the human's thoughts and all his doings were all with pure intentions.

johnny meant no harm, it was just him thinking of it just because of the thought that if something will form between them, johnny will abandon him and leave him.

❝papa, don't hate daddy.❞

even with the emotional state they are at right now, ten can't help but let out a chuckle. the kid knows nothing about what had happened to him and johnny back then, how he was made, but here he is already guessing what johnny's position is in this family.

hugging the kid tight, ten shook his head. ❝i don't hate him, twenty.❞

❝are you mad at him?❞

of course, for breaking the rules. ❝a little bit.❞ but it was forgivable. ❝i'm sorry.❞

twenty pulled away from the hug and tilted his head to the side, wondering why his papa was apologizing. ❝why papa?❞

❝papa was stupid. he kept pushing giant away from him.❞

❝well, if papa has any problems..❞ the baby brought his small hands up and went to wipe his papa's tears up just like what ten is doing to him. ❝you're not alone. you have twenty and giant with you!❞

❝i have twenty..❞ ten closed his eyes, feeling bad for the time he had treated johnny the wrong way. ❝and giant with me.❞

❝papa stop crying.❞ the baby couldn't stop his tears falling just because he is seeing his papa cry. his dead then turned to the direction when he heard a knock and then poked his papa to tell him. ❝papa, someone is at the door.❞

drying his tears up, ten placed twenty back down to his seat and gave him a soft peck. ❝stay here baby.❞

❝yes papa.❞ he nodded and now started to eat the pancake that his papa made for him.

bringing his feet up to the dolr, ten made sure to wipe his face and to look presentable before twisting the door knob open. taking a deep breath in, ten gathered the courage to look up with his usual bright smile and greeted that visitor with it.

❝may i help you—❞

his voice hitched when he saw who was towering right in front of him.

❝johnny?❞

the human left no seconds to waste as he threw himself to the small figure, hugging him once he finally got to see him.

❝hey..❞

tears were building up once more and all ten could do was hold it back, not wanting to get emotional once more and much more in front of johnny who just surprised him with a hug after being gone for just a day.

just a day and they had already missed him.

❝you asked me if i wanted to go home.❞ johnny started, feeling quite proud that he didn't heard his voice crack. ❝i want to. i want to go home.❞

❝then what are you doing?❞ ten bit his lower lip, failing to put his tears back in place as he heard johnny say that. ❝taeyong and jaehyun's shared apartment goes the other way. did you get lost?❞

❝no..❞

❝then—❞

the human tightened his embrace. ❝ten, i'm home.❞

it's here, they are his home.

understanding it, ten wrapped his arms around the tall male and burried his head down to the human's neck, sobbing silently at how he had considered them. ❝johnny..❞

pulling away with tears still continued to fall, ten managed to show the crying human that warm smile that johnny had always found beautiful.

❝welcome home.❞
