❝do we have everything?❞ ten tucked in the shirt which his son is wearing and gave him a small smile before ruffling his hair and standing up just to give each one of the vampires outside a look.

twenty happily hopped down the three-stepped-stairs and went running to taeyong, making grabby hands at the vampire who cooed at him. carrying him up, taeyong turned to ten with a look. ❝are we seriously leaving him with lucas?❞

ten nodded his head, checking behind him if he could see a tall vampire that was taking so much time in changing. ❝yes, we are.❞

❝no, we are not.❞ johnny had finally appeared in front of them after taking all his life inside his shared room with ten.

the short vampire stood there for a minute, eyeing johnny from top to bottom. johnny faced him and had his brows raised, questioning why he looked so judgemental.

❝why are you so dressed up?❞ ten said as he observed those maroon button down shirt which johnny had tucked inside his slacks and paired it up with brown leather shoes. he looked like he was attending a formal dinner, which they obviously aren't.

unbuttoning the first two buttons to look less formal, according to johnny himself, the tall male shrugged. ❝i have to look good in front of you father.❞

they were all worried about what was going to happen to them once they will arrive there and here is johnny, worrying as to how he'd look in front of ten's father who's probably going to cut their heads of after counting the rules they have broken.

is that why he was taking his time inside their room? ten mentally face palmed as he decided to shrug that off. ❝we are meeting my dad, there's no dinner happening.❞

yuta snorted at how johnny was looking perfect for a meet up that would possibly lead to a bloody fight. ❝goodluck fighting with that.❞ he'll just wait for a moment where johnny's going to rip those tight slacks.

taeyong quickly gave yuta a look. ❝there's no fight happening.❞

❝hopefully.❞ ten clearly didn't want to go against his father, even though he would be a dick sometimes. the vampire then heaved a sigh, ❝as i was saying, we are leaving twenty with lucas.❞

❝no,we aren't.❞ johnny said, disapproving ten's idea. ❝we are bringing him with us.❞

❝did you hit your head or something?❞ with a huff, ten turned his head towards johnny. ❝we are not bringing him.❞

❝well, your dad might want to see his grandson.❞ he did have a point, ❝he's still your father, he won't hurt twenty.❞

❝how sure are you?❞ shouldn't ten know more about his father than johnny? johnny acts like he knows his father more.

carrying the baby, taeyong watched the two quarrel as he let out a sigh. his lover then let out a laugh as he watched them with pure amusement. getting taeyong's attention, he turned his head to look at jaehyun who had his dimples shown while smiling. ❝what's funny?❞

❝married couple things.❞ he answered, referring to the two were still arguing.

❝i'd rather leave our son with yuta than with lucas.❞ johnny said in frustration as he ran a hand through his head.

with furrowed brows, ten replied. ❝he's coming with us, along with every vampire that's a witness to twenty!❞

tearing his eyes from ten, who was glaring at him, johnny stared at every vampire whom he was quite familiar with. ❝but if you leave twenty with lucas, he'll get involved in this!❞

the short male hadn't really thought of it that much. he had forgotten that twenty can be easily found and there's a great possibility that they are going to hurt lucas and his family. ten didn't want that to happen. lowering his head, the vampire was finding another way that could prevent twenty from showing up to his father.

with them busy arguing, and the other just looking at them as they didn't have the guts to speak a word, the child's voice was heard in the midst of silence.

❝daddy giant, no fight papa.❞ he said, earning all of their attentions.

johnny stood there, feeling guilty that he quarreled with ten and what made it worse was them doing it in front of these vampires and also in front of their son. composing himself, johnny leaned down and planted a soft kiss on the short vampire's forehead. ❝i'm sorry.❞

shaking his head, ten also felt the need to apologize. ❝no, you were right. i'm sorry.❞

donghyuck had the audacity to ruin the mood by clapping his hands as if he was watching some actors putting a great act in front of him. ❝a twenty a day keeps parents from fighting away.❞

mark nudged his lover, earning a pout from him. as for them, they had left chan with a family friend of theirs. the family were humans but chan was already familiar with them after knowing the fact that the father in that family was stupid enough to put their human son in a vampire university. the son is also a close friend of chan so both mark and donghyuck had nothing to worry about it.

❝what are we waiting for?❞ after settling things up with ten, johnny gave them all a smile.

ten wrapped his hand on johnny's arm as he leaned his head on the male's shoulder, ❝you know, i'm really grateful that you guys are with me right now.❞ he told them, being genuine with his words.

they were willing to risk everything just to be in ten's side and ten couldn't have been more thankful for it.

and another just had to ruin the moment. it was no other than yuta, ❝okay! enough with emotional hours.❞

johnny stared at the expensive cars that were present right in front of the house, wondering what was the use of it. ❝why do we have to use cars when we can walk there by foot?❞ they were vampires anyways, they had insane speed.

ten had face palmed for the nth time for the day, ❝johnny, just get inside.❞

taeyong laughed at the newborn's curiosity before following jaehyun in another car which his lover would be maneuvering. getting inside while carrying the child, knowing that it wouldn't be safe leaving twenty with his hormonal parents, taeyong can't help but notice something and had to ask jaehyun about it.

❝where are doyoung and taeil?❞ he asked, letting twenty sit on his lap comfortably.

jaehyun had started the engine before answering, ❝they said they have something to do and that they'll just catch up.❞

taeyong just nodded his head, wondering what the two were up to.

parking his car, lucas went out with his son following from behind. he was upset and mad at ten for not letting him meet with johnny. he asked a lot and questioned him why but that vampire won't tell him a single word. lucas decided to personally meet johnny and ask him why, with his son wanting to tag along as he wanted to see twenty, although he won't say it out loud.

seeing the usual quiet surrounding, lucas walked over to the front door and wasted no time to bring his fist up and knocked on the door.

❝i'm his bestfriend, why wouldn't he want to see me?❞ lucas started to complain, talking to his son about it. ❝right?❞

jeffrey blinked, not understanding why his dad was losing his temper but no nonetheless, he nodded his head.

clicking his tongue, lucas knocked on the door once more and this time a little bit louder. ❝ten? johnny? open up!❞

they weren't the type to go out anywhere, knowing that it was not safe to leave the child alone at home. sighing, it looked like no one was going to answer him. the door is also lock so he can't just barge in. jeffrey stood there with a frown on his face, the excitement in meeting twenty disappearing.

❝hold on, i'll call them.❞ what was strange today was also jaehyun and taeyong. neither of the two picked up the phone when he wanted to ask why ten didn't want him to meet johnny. the vampire wasn't banning him forever from seeing his bestfriend, ten just suggested that it wasn't best to see johnny.

lucas wasn't going to follow his orders unless he would receive an explanation as to why.

after a couple of ring, johnny had picked up his phone, ❝where are you?❞

but he could hear quarrels coming from the other line. "hey lucas— is that lucas? hang up."

the human's jaw dropped as he was sure that it was ten's voice. ❝excuse me!?❞

"but i want to talk to him— johnny."

❝hey, listen up little pornhub!❞ lucas raised his voice, forgetting the fact that his son was still standing beside him. ❝that's my bestfriend and if he wants to talk to me then let him—❞

"lucas, sorry."

and the next thing he knew, johnny hang up on him. with a frustrated groan, lucas fumbled with his phone as he made his way back to his car. jeffrey was walking behind him, catching up on his large steps.

❝where are we going, dad?❞ jeffrey couldn't help but ask when he saw that they were going the opposite way home.

❝we'll go to them.❞ lucas said as he went to track where johnny is using his latest call with him.

not having any single idea what they were up to and how they will be in grave danger if he goes and follow where johnny is.
