❝i guess we have to get going now.❞ lucas said with a sad smile, he didn't want to leave just yet but yuta forced him to.

❝i'll be walking you guys home tonight.❞ yuta said as he gave johnny one reassuring smile. ❝so you don't have to worry.❞

❝but why do they have to leave early though?❞ johnny then pouted at yuta.

❝it's not safe to have them here especially at night.❞ ten said, standing next to johnny while having twenty right behind him.

he could tell that his little his little boy is having a hard time trying to hold back the tears from falling. he couldn't blame him, he had the whole day to play with lucas' kids and he could see how attached he had been to them. ten knew it was wrong to keep his son inside the house all these years and not let him play outside like how kids usually do. but it's for the best, ten doesn't want for his family to get hurt.

and as rushed as it sounds, he already has considered johnny as part of his family.

❝but johnny is human so does that mean he's also not safe here?❞ lucas said, worrying about his bestfriend's presence in a house that's located probably in the middle of the forest.

yuta knew that but he has eyes on ten, he also has trust on the vampire. ❝ten can take care of him. plus, you know he works for them as twenty's babysitter.❞

❝damn, jaehyun kicked you out huh?❞ lucas said with a laugh, obviously joking around.

johnny is not even hurt even for a slight bit that the people— vampires rather, kicked him out of their own shelter. the vampires who raised him kicked him out, but that didn't bother johnny at all. he mayhaps already expected this to happen in his point in life. ❝they'll miss me for sure.❞

❝of course they will, they are your parents.❞ lucas then teased him, knowing that johnny didn't want to regard both taeyong and jaehyun as his parents.

❝they are not really but whatever.❞ sure, he did see them as one when he was still young and it was mostly taeyong being a mother to him and jaehyun being a bestfriend instead of acting like a parent, but as he grew older he just can't see them as parents anymore since they look exactly like his age.

he hated the fact that vampires can't grown old, who knows how old ten is. johnny doesn't know but he'll probably be weirded out falling in love with someone who's a hundred years older than him. but anyways, love is love and johnny can do nothing but fall in love.

❝we'll go now.❞ lucas said with a smile, finally setting theirselves off.

johnny waved his hand at them as he watched them leave with lucas having his son beside him while carrying his daughter and yuta following from behind. a frown was shown on his face as he watched them leave, a small hint of jealousy as he saw lucas bringing his kids close in a protective manner.

he'd also like to do that with ten and twenty.

johnny then widened his eyes at his thoughts and looked away before ten could see him getting all flushed, forgetting the fact that ten can actually read his thoughts. ten did, and all he did was smile, saving the teasing for later.

meanwhile, lucas with his two kids along with yuta were walking their way out of the forest. lucas can't help but admire his daughter with a tiara on and also get curious as to why jeffrey is holding a crown despite of also wearing one.

❝dad, i'm a princess!❞ yanna said with her voice getting all excited.

lucas gave her a smile. ❝because you are one.❞ before having his attention back at jeffrey. ❝and why do you have a crown with you big buddy?❞

jeffrey was snapped out from his thoughts and raised his head up to look at lucas. ❝huh?❞

❝jeffrey is the king!❞

hearing his daughter say that made lucas chuckle. ❝you're the king? but why do you have a crown with you?❞

looking back down at the crown he is holding, jeffrey has a sad frown on upon remembering what the little vampire had told him and why he's holding a crown now.

❝oh, right.❞ yanna clapped her hands once she was reminded of something. ❝daddy, twenty is my prince!❞

twenty gave the crown to jeffrey saying that he'll find his queen one day.

getting inside the house after closing the door, twenty took small steps up to the stairs before he was stopped by his papa.

❝already going to your room?❞

turning around, twenty yawned. ❝i was tired from a while ago, papa.❞

❝hm?❞

before ten could say something, twenty had already zoomed out from their sight and then a loud thud from a door was heard. johnny clearly had no idea what was going on while ten was worried for his son but dared not to do anything thinking that he needed some time alone.

❝that's weird.❞ johnny said, making his way to the sofa and sat down while yanking the remote control by the coffee table. ❝he never gets tired when playing.❞

ten clicked his tongue after closing his eyes slowly, cursing at how he can't read his son's mind. ❝that boy is preventing me from reading his mind.❞

johnny scoffed, ❝so aside from making people see his past memories, he can also stop you from reading his thoughts.❞

ten paused from his place once he hear and understood what johnny had just said. ❝you know about it?❞

as johnny was about to nod, he just then realized what he had said. more or like exposing himself to the vampire. so much for fighting his thoughts from thinking about it. ❝oh look, it's my favorite show!❞

ten approached the male, very much aware of how nervous he is. ❝tell me.❞

❝ten— chittaphon, you're blocking the view.❞ johnny placed a hand on the vampire's arm and was about to push him away in front of him but ten quickly had a tight grip on johnny's arm.

ten took a seat on johnny's lap, catching the human off guard, and then pinned both his arm on the backrest to stop him from whatever he is going to do. ❝what did you see?❞

❝i s-saw nothing!❞ johnny closed his eyes and focused on not to expose himself more.

with his bloody red eyes staring straight to johnny, ten just can't help but get flushed after reading the human's head that's just full of compliments about more beautiful he is from up close. the vampire shut his eyes very tight and harshly slammed his forehead to johnny's just to stop him from thinking of anything else.

❝hey!❞ johnny leaned his head back while placing a hand on his forehead that ten just hit. ❝what was that for?❞

❝can't you think of anything else?❞ ten doesn't even know why he's so mad at something like this when johnny did nothing wrong but compliment him inside his head. well, aside from hiding the fact thay he was the first one to know about the little vampire having such ability to let people see his past. ❝are you not scared of me at all?❞

johnny still had a hand over his forehead and caressed it softly to ease the pain but he still stated at ten while thinking about the question. ❝are you someone that i have to be scared of?❞

ten's red bloody eyes glittered as he stared straight to johnny's adoring orbs and had his fangs showing, thinking that johnny would be shivering in fear but ten could only hear compliments instead. about how magical his red eyes looked and how attractive his fangs are, complimenting his red eyes very well. johnny may have not seen every single vampire living in their world but he could already state a conclusion, and probably a fact, that ten is the most ethereal vampire out there.

❝johnny, i am a vampire. are you not scared that i'd kill you in just a second?❞

with ten being seated on his lap and hands loosing its grip on his arms, johnny took this chance to slip his arms around the vampire's waist. ❝the question is, are you going to kill me?❞

❝if i say that i'm not like jaehyun and taeyong, who's quite friendly with humans, what are you going to do?❞ ten leaned closer, finding any hint of fear in johnny's eyes. ❝you can't just trust any vampire you see, johnny.❞

❝i trust you.❞ johnny said with pure honesty.

the vampire moved back with his eyes widened, finding it very unusual for a human to trust a vampire this quickly. johnny doesn't even know him that much yet here he is, trusting him. ten didn't know why he was hoping for it to be a lie (probably because he didn't want to have any false hope) but reading the human's head, he was surprised that johnny is serious about it.

johnny let out a sigh, deciding to just tell ten the truth. he can't hide anything from him, the vampire can read his head, so what's the use of hiding it anyways? one way or another, ten is going to find out about the little boy showing him his past. ❝you always work during the night and would come home in the morning where twenty is asleep. you rarely have time for him but you don't know how much it affected him since little vamp won't show it.❞

actually, ten already had it inside his head that twenty wants his presence and doesn't want to be alone but what can ten do? he can bring his son around, that's like surrendering his own son and also digging his own grave.

❝i don't know why you're locking him in here, even finding a private tutor for him instead of enrolling him to a school, but i just hope that you'd find time for him.❞ johnny honestly doesn't know how he can grant the little boy's wish of having his papa always beside him but he just hopes that his words would stick inside ten's head. ❝also,❞

ten thought it's the only thing that twenty showed to johnny but it didn't stop there. the vampire's jaw then dropped upon seeing himself inside johnny's head, crying while having his hands clutched on his hair.

it was the time where he craved for a specific someone's blood.

❝i feel bad for you. i'm sorry you can't find your mate yet, you must have had it hard.❞ johnny looked away with his lips pursed into a tight line, having a stupid idea. ❝i may not be that person but,❞

the vampire blinked countess of times, not believing this being real. johnny brought his hand up and pulled his collar down to expose his skin from his next. it was enough for ten to drive him crazy, smelling the blood that he has been craving for ever since.

but he was used to it and finally knew how to control himself.

❝you can have my blood.❞

ten licked his lower lip, hesitating whether he should or not. ❝johnny—❞

❝i mean, i know it will taste weird, i'm not your mate after all, but hopefully it'll make you full until you find your mate.❞ he's basically hurting himself. not only physically, for turning himself in to the vampire, but also emotionally, knowing that ten had someone special in mind but he still continued keeping his feelings for him.

he wished it was that easy to throw feelings inside a dumpster.

❝i can't—❞

❝ten!❞ johnny placed a hand behind the vampire's head and pulled him down closer to his neck, having ten's small hands on his chest for support. ❝please, i don't want you to starve yourself. animal blood is not enough, the little vamp's vision in the past clearly showed it to me.❞

❝johnny if you do this, i'll start favoring your blood more.❞ well, he has been favoring his blood even though he haven't tasted it yet.

he's just scared that he'll drain the human's blood and would kill him in the process.

the human chuckled lowly, ❝well, i can't find any reason to live.❞ he actually didn't mind dying for ten, sacrificing him life for ten. atleast then, he'd have something to contribute in his life. ❝i don't mind giving you all my blood.❞

johnny asked for it. taking a deep breath and inhaling both johnny's scent and his own blood mixing, ten's eyes sparkled in excitement as he brought his face close to the exposed neck. he parted his mouth a slight bit, just enough for his fangs to show, and found a right place to get a taste of the human's blood.

johnny shut his eyes tight and waited for a stinging pain on his neck, but a minute has passed and nothing happened. he didn't feel the vampire's fangs digging through his skin.

instead, he felt a pair of soft lips giving a long kiss on a certain spot on his neck.

pulling away with a lovely smile, ten looked stared to johnny who looked confused at his action. ❝maybe next time.❞

ten was relieved and glad that he got to control himself even with how close he was to tasting the blood that he had craved for years. meanwhile, johnny was disappointed that ten didn't take his blood.
