❝i told you, you'll miss him.❞

jaehyun puffed his cheeks, agreeing with what taeyong said but he didn't have to rub it on his face. ❝i know, but one way or another we have to give him to someone who can be with him and take care of him till the end of time.❞

❝have you forgotten that you're an immortal creature?❞ yuta said, getting both jaehyun's and taeyong's attention. he was walking behind the two, between them and their eyes were on him. ❝you can actually be with him till the end of time if that's what you are worried about.❞

❝i actually forgot that you're with us.❞ jaehyun said with a scoff, turning back in front after being satisfied with yuta's look. ❝him finding someone to love and would leave us for that person is what i meant. it's just that, i did the first move rather than letting him do it.❞

❝but you're still missing him.❞ taeyong repeated with a playful smile after hearing his lover groaning in annoyance.

❝yeah, i do.❞

yuta snorted from behind after hearing jaehyun finally admitting it. ❝he's basically like your son.❞

❝that's weird knowing that he sees us his friends than his parents.❞ jaehyun then shrugged with a sigh. ❝but that diaper pooping kid sure is a big part of my life.❞

❝yet you gave him to someone who doesn't even want him.❞ yuta said. sure, he supports the two but he can't stand having one not wanting the other. it would have been better if ten would want johnny. he had known johnny for life and knowing him, he won't escape from ten's charms.

then again, who can escape a vampire's charms?

❝ten wants him, he just doesn't want for johnny to get into the mess.❞ jaehyun the chuckled while looking down. it's funny how the two haven't even known each other that much yet they are already protecting each other.

❝for someone who works for the royal family, you are breaking the rules.❞ yuta is the one to talk. he, too, works for the royal family and yet here he is, falling in love with a human being who doesn't even know he exists.

turning to his side, jaehyun only had a small smile as he caught w glimpse of his lover's beauty. ❝i owe ten so much, this is the least i can do.❞

❝his father is going to kill you.❞ and that's something neither of jaehyun's friends, even taeyong, ever wanted.

acting like he didn't care, ❝if, that is, he's going to fine out.❞ he said. but a very part of him that's hidden, he's actually risking his life for this.

❝you know how strict he is with his people, what more if he finds out about his own son breaking a rule?❞ every vampire knows how ruthless dracula is, no biases. a royal family or not, they are no exception to take a punishment.

❝can we not talk about this?❞ taeyong spoke before jaehyun can say a word. ❝i'm not comfortable having a thought of something happening to jaeh—❞

the three of them paused from their tracks, taeyong stopped talking, once they had caught a scent of something familiar. so familiar that their hearts started to beat very fast in panic and also grew worried at scenarios inside their heads.

❝can you two smell that?❞ jaehyun's red bloody eyes glistened. ❝it's johnny's blood—❞

turning his head beside him, he just noticed the two disappearing. he sighed, sulking at the two who just left him there without having any words to say at least. not even a go signal.

❝why do i always get left behind?❞

jaehyun then didn't waste any more seconds and quickly caught up to the two who's obviously worried. the three were looking like they were in a race as they were quick in their feet in zooming towards a familiar looking abandoned house. their breathing were uneven and they were panting heavily, but being tired didn't stop taeyong from barging inside the house as his mother instincts were kicking in.

running up to his lover, jaehyun was about to block taeyong in whatever is happening inside the house, wanting to deal this instead of letting taeyong do it and might hurt himself, but taeyong is already ahead of him.

following the two from behind, yuta widened his eyes seeing johnny having blood dripping from his hands and ten standing there with his chest pumping in a fast pace. he could tell that the vampire was trying his very best to hold himself back from doing anything. johnny's blood is the only thing that's messing up their noses but all yuta could think of was the kid.

he quickly ran up to the little boy's room and just let jaehyun and taeyong handle the mess downstairs.

❝uncle ootah?❞ the little boy looked up from his toy car in curious as to why yuta suddenly appeared. ❝i smell blood.❞

yuta locked the door before the kid goes out or either of the two gets inside the room. ❝why don't we just play here?❞

jaehyun approached the two and took johnny away from ten who's leaning by the wall with his breathes not being normal. he glared at johnny who's having his head down before facing ten and blocking johnny from his view.

❝ten, snap out of it.❞ jaehyun said, looking straight at the vampire who's losing control and tried to use is ability but didn't leave any effect.

❝i'm t-trying.❞ the vampire wanted to take a step back but took a step forward instead. his mind was saying no but his body wanted to go near to johnny and suck the blood he could see, smell, and is driving him crazy.

taeyong ran towards ten and had no choice but to drag him out of the house and get far from the place. lucky for him, he managed to get hold and control ten's body not to push him away and go back to the house. although, he couldn't control the vampire's thoughts and calm him down but having hold of his body is already enough. ten's strength is nothing to joke about which is why taeyong is fortunate to having control him.

and for the meantime, he should bring him far away enough for ten to compose himself.

back inside the house, jaehyun closed the door before standing in front of johnny who still has his eyes looking down as if the floor is something very interesting.

❝what on earth you thinking!?❞

after treating the human's wound, jaehyun wrapped it with a clothed bandage and made sure that there's no traces of blood down the floor or anywhere inside the house. he didn't want for ten to return only to lose control again. after washing the cloth he used to clean any blood traces, jaehyun went back to the living room and sat on the sofa right next to johnny who has been quiet ever since.

breaking the silence surrounding them, ❝were you even at your right mind?❞ jaehyun spoke.

okay, maybe those weren't the right words to say.

❝ten almost lost control. do you want to die?❞

❝since when did i even have the will to live?❞ johnny finally spoke but his voice is quiet as a whisper.

right, jaehyun should have known that. johnny is no where near to depressed nor suicidal but he would always accept any opportunity to die. for him, he was only a bother to this world he is living in.

❝look at me,❞ jaehyun managed to make johnny look at him, forcing him with his ability to control things or anyone actually, and heaved out a sigh upon seeing how dead the human looked. ❝what will lucas say to this? do you think he'd be near to being okay if he gets a news of you being dead?❞

❝that fucking tree is a strong individual, he will move on one way or another.❞

❝but taeyong isn't.❞ jaehyun then decided to just admit it to johnny on how much he is an impact to their lives. ❝neither am i.❞

johnny looked straight to jaehyun's eyes and then had a glimpse of him being a kid and jaehyun smiling down at him inside of his head. thinking about it, taeyong isn't the only one being a mother to him but jaehyun was lowkey being a father.

❝both of us won't be okay if you disappear.❞ jaehyun said, hoping to bring johnny back to his senses.

if jaehyun or taeyong didn't care then they wouldn't have come to keep ten away from him, or even come to save him. johnny didn't even get a short time to think that all these time he has played a very important part in their life and that they care for him so much.

he didn't want to break down, johnny told himself not to burst out crying, but his eyes just had to betray him produce the tears that has been threatening to come out.

he didn't want to see johnny cry but he was relieved that he got to snap him back to his senses. he scooted close to the crying giant and engulfed him into a tight hug, making johnny break down even harder. his sobs were uncontrollable and his cries echoed inside the living room.

he is still the johnny he and taeyong had taken care of.

❝you're a grown man but still cries like a baby.❞ jaehyun said with a chuckle, patting johnny back very softly.

❝can i..❞

❝hm?❞

johnny pulled away from the hug and sniffled as he looked at jaehyun, ❝can i call you dad?❞

if this would be a child saying that, jaehyun wouldn't say no to it. but johnny is already a grown adult, and they even look like they would pass off as the same age. but truth is, jaehyun is older for a hundred years. ❝you can call me jaehyun.❞

nodding his head, johnny actually agrees with that. ❝yeah, jaehyun it is.❞

❝by the way,❞ jaehyun furrowed his brows. ❝why would you cut yourself?❞

looking away with his cheeks heatin up, johnny was hesitating to answer that question. his purpose was stupid but in the end he did tell jaehyun. ❝i want ten to have a taste of my blood.❞

❝what—❞

the door was barged open and made the two turn their heads behind and saw two familiar looking vampires. jaehyun showed a smile to his lover that's holding the short male while johnny stood up with an apologetic look. ten looked up, already composed and back to his own self, and saw johnny having swollen eyes as if he just cried.

❝i'm sorry!❞ johnny had his fists clutched tight as he shut his eyes, shouting an apology to ten. ❝i shouldn't have cut myself and—❞

ten didn't let johnny speak and yanked his arms from taeyong. both jaehyun and taeyong were ready to pull johnny away from ten if ever the vampire does anything to him but they stayed on their places when ten had his arms thrown on johnny's shoulders and gave him a very tight hug.

❝you stupid idiot!❞ ten buried his head on the human's neck, ❝don't you dare do that ever again. please, just don't.❞

❝i know.❞ johnny frowned, thinking twice on whether he would hug bag or not. ❝you're a vampire and you lose control when you get a strong scent of a human's blood.❞

❝no.❞ ten pulled away and gave johnny a look, making the human stay silent. ❝i don't want you to hurt yourself. johnny, i know you're willing to let me drink your blood and i thank you for that but there's always a right time for it.❞

johnny closed his eyes and leaned to ten's touch once he felt the vampire's cold hand on his cheeks. ten smiled softly as he caressed johnny's cheeks, finding peace inside human's head.

❝today is just not the right time.❞

jaehyun and taeyong gave each other a look and decided to go check on yuta who's with the kid, leaving the two at the living room to have privacy. seeing portraits and passing by rooms with different purpose, they finally arrived at a specific one and opened it without knocking,

only to see yuta and the little vampire sleeping soundly on the bed.

twenty was hugging a panda plushie while yuta still had a toy car on his hand. the two looked so tired and were peaceful as they were sleeping. jaehyun went behind taeyong and wrapped his arms around his lover's waist, putting his chin on top of taeyong's shoulder.

❝do you think he'd be a great father one day?❞

instead of answering, taeyong stared more at the two on the bed and only showed a smile.

❝sicheng would be so lucky to have him.❞
