❝jeffrey get up!❞ lucas groaned, pulling the comforter that's covering his son's whole body. ❝we are going to visit uncle suh!❞

❝you said there will be a vampire.❞ the boy mumbled, letting go of the comforter and causing for his father to fall back. with that, he went over to a pile of pillows and hid there. ❝you told me that i shouldn't be with a vampire.❞

❝i already told you it's fine.❞ lucas mayhaps scolded jeffrey about associating himself with a vampire but after a long talk with yuta, his eyes were open and is now accepting that love is love. ❝hey— are you crying?❞

removing the pillows, lucas softened at the sight of a boy crying while having his hands clutched on the pillow very tight. ❝i'm not!❞

❝really? that explains why there are tears falling.❞ lucas rolled his eyes before sitting down right across the crying boy and wiped those tears with his thumb. ❝what's wrong?❞

❝chan likes jiro.❞ jeffrey cried even harder after remembering the scene where chan confessed to jiro. he didn't hear what jiro had to say and just left the scene.

❝you're seven,❞ but nonetheless, lucas went to pull the crying boy to his arms and gave him a tight hug. ❝it's okay, i also had a crush on barney when i was five.❞

despite of those tears falling uncontrollably, jeffrey still looked up just to give his father a look. ❝why are you like this?❞

❝hush now.❞ lucas placed a hand on the boy's head pushed his head back down on his chest. ❝let me comfort you.❞

jeffrey then wrapped his arms around lucas' body and continued to cry on his father's chest. ❝dad, can i transfer schools?❞

❝no can do mister.❞ even though they had the money to do so, the process of doing it would be so complicated and having a human son falling in love with a vampire is already enough. ❝let's just wait till the year ends, okay?❞

just before jeffrey could either agree or disagree with that, jungwoo opened the door with a smile on his face. although it wasn't the best way to comfort someone, jungwoo was still proud that lucas got to do it with jeffrey. that boy has been locking himself inside his shared room with his sister and jungwoo couldn't do anything about it yet here is lucas, joking around but got to stop him from crying.

❝you're giving me that look as if it's shocking to see me getting along with the kids.❞ lucas mumbled with his lips pouting and looking away.

jungwoo just chuckled and moved a little bit to the side to let a little girl in that's holding an emoji plushie. jungwoo's eyes followed the little girl waddling towarss lucas and her brother and climbed up to the bed with the help of lucas just to comfort her brother that has swollen eyes and cheeks all puffed.

❝it's okay man!❞ the little girl said with a bright smile on, using that famous line that her daddy would always use.

❝how about this, i bring you both to uncle suh.❞ lucas said, placing yanna down to his lap and turning to jeffrey to see if he agrees with that. ❝you'll go with your sister.❞

❝where are you taking them?❞ jungwoo raised a brow with his arms crossed, not remembering about lucas asking permission to take the kids out somewhere.

❝to johnny.❞ lucas simply answered, standing up as he carried their little daughter. lucas knew jungwoo is hesitating to say yes to it but lucas gave him one reassuring smile. ❝hey, vampires are not that bad.❞

jungwoo knows that, not all vampires are bad and it can be proven by knowing yuta and jaehyun but he just can't help but be worried. he may not show it but he would always be worried whenever lucas hangs out with either of his two vampire friends. they may look reliable but jungwoo just can't trust them yet. ❝please take care.❞

❝johnny will be there.❞ lucas walked over to his husband and gave him a soft kiss on the male's forehead. ❝ten isn't that bad. trust me, he's just like jaehyun and yuta.❞

❝i trust you.❞ and he just hopes that nothing bad will happen. ❝take care of the kids.❞

lucas nodded and then smiled. ❝and you rest. you've been working all day and have no rest at all.❞

❝i'm fine.❞ jungwoo reassured him.

❝wong jungwoo.❞

the older heaved out a sigh. ❝fine. call me if something bad happens, okay?❞

❝that something bad would be johnny burning the kitchen.❞

johnny shut his eyes tight ans covered his ears after he asked permission to ten that he'll be inviting lucas over, already expecting him to be against it. ❝it's no big deal.❞

❝what do you mean it's no big deal?❞ ten ran a hand through his hair and walked around in circles before finally stopping in front of johnny. ❝lucas is coming here, that's a big deal!❞

❝why is that so?❞

❝i can't stand that guy!❞ ten groaned in annoyance.

❝i asked him to come for little vamp so you don't have to worry about him annoying the shit out of you.❞ johnny took the bag of chip down the coffee table and was about to rip it open but it was snatched by ten before he could do so.

❝you asked lucas to be twenty's playmate?❞

johnny shook his head reached out for the bag of chips but ten only took a step away from him. ❝he's bringing his kids with him.❞

❝he has kids!?❞

johnny can't blame him, he never told anything about lucas aside the fact that he's stupid. ❝yeah—❞

❝i can't believe his husband would actually go for a guy like him.❞

because of that, johnny now had lost his motivation to get the bag of chips that's on the vampire's hold. he then looked up at ten and the vampire had a very hard time reading his mind after seeing johnny looking so stern. the human then gestured for ten to come closer to him and out of curiosity, ten placed the chips down the coffee table and approached johnny a little bit closer than before only to be surprised when the human got hold of his hand and pulled him down that he's now sitting on his lap.

ten never gets flustered over this, he'd actually even punch the person who would make a bold move like this. seriously, jaehyun is a victim. but seems like johnny is different, he even felt his face heating up when he saw johnny looking serious as he held him tight on the waist. ❝l-let go of me!❞

johnny didn't follow to the vampire's order even though he could see him threatening him with his fangs showing and eyes as red as blood. ❝don't say that about lucas.❞

so all of this is just because he degraded his human friend? ten can't help but scoff. ❝am i not allowed to say the truth?❞

❝you don't know him.❞ johnny took a deep breath before letting out a heavy sigh, composing himself before he would go all out with a vampire who can wipe out his existence with just a snap of his fingers. ❝lucas is an amazing person if you get to know him. he values friendship, he loves his husband and especially his family, and he's an overall nice person.❞

hearing that from the human made ten feel sort of things. mainly was his chest clenching at how johnny described someone like lucas, it feel so sincere and you can see how close he is with the human. ten was jealous that johnny is talking about lucas like that as if he's the only person on earth.

jealous? ten shut his eyes tight and shook his head aggressively, ignoring johnny's stares. he's not a slight bit jealous, why would he be anyways?

johnny chuckled lowly at how ten is acting so vulnerable right now and just can't hold back the urge to pat him in the head. ❝and i know you're a nice person ten. i hope you treat him like a friend because he really is amazing when you get to know him more.❞

❝whatever.❞ he hated how johnny is not dumb. this is the first time ten has seen this side of johnny and he didn't want to see this side ever again. ❝can you let go of me now?❞

johnny froze from his place upon realizing that ten is still sitting down on his lap because he pulled him down too hard. he loved the position, he isn't complaining about it even though he had pulled him without thinking about it, but he then remembered about ten having someone in mind and wanting that person to marry him.

he wished they never had that conversation because then, he wouldn't hold himself back to be free around ten. now, he had to. he needs to control himself from flirting and messing with him since he has a special someone he is waiting for.

❝i'm sorry about this.❞ johnny regained himself with an awkward chuckle before placing ten down on the sofa beside him.

even with that chuckle, ten could see sadness through the human's eyes. he wondered why but then regretted when he decided to invade his privacy and read his mind. all he could see were those crying and depressing memes, what did he expect from johnny anyways.

not long after, a knock was heard from the front door and johnny didn't waste any more time to stand up and escape from the awkward tension between them. he walked over the front door and saw a giant tree with a smile on his face.

❝hey lucas.❞ johnny greeted, looking down and also giving lucas' son a smile.

lucas let out a relief sigh before throwing his arms on johnny's shoulders. ❝thank god this is the right place. why does it look so scary outside but modern on the inside?❞

johnny shrugged and pointed at the vampire that's by the living room with his arms crossed. ❝ask the owner of the house.❞

lucas remembered the vampire's face and waved a hand at him. ❝hi vampire who tried to kill me!❞

❝hello annoying human being.❞ ten replied, giving lucas a glare for some reason.

johnny laughed at the two, not the greeting he expected to see but it's better than the two arguing. he then opened the door a little bit wider for lucas to enter and noticed a shy boy following from behind. ❝how about jeffrey goes to little vamp?❞

❝oh, i also brought—❞ lucas looked down and had his eyes widened upon seeing his son being the only there beside him. ❝holy cheese, jeffrey where's your sister?❞

❝jeffrey?❞ ten raised a brow at the boy's name.

seeing the curious look on the vampire's face made johnny laugh at the long story as to why lucas' son is named as jeffrey. along with jeffrey, there's also a story behind as to why their daughter is named as yanna and both of the stories are quite funny and interesting.

❝hello!❞ a little girl's voice was then heard inside the house and all their heads turned to where the direction is and saw the girl being so close to the little boy that's holding a glass of milk. ❝my name is wong yanna, and you are?❞

it was obvious to see that twenty was scared of the girl. the little boy looked up and immediately ran towards his papa for comfort, not used to seeing strangers. but then with johnny he immediately was comfortable with him despite of seeing johnny for the first time.

❝you shouldn't scare him like that.❞ lucas said, giving his daughter a look.

the little girl pouted her lips, looking away from her father. ❝i just wanted to be his friend.❞

johnny closed the door immediately when lucas and his son got inside and went over to get the glass that twenty is holding before he lets go of it and makes a mess. ten gave his son a smile before carrying him up and comforting him about the visitors they are having.

❝little vamp, it's fine.❞ johnny went behind ten and brushed the little boy's hair that's covering his eyes. ❝they are friends.❞

ten nodded his head and place a soft kiss on his son's forehead. ❝they won't hurt you baby.❞

lucas watched the two and just can't help but give them a look, teasing them about how they look like a happy family. ten may not notice it but lucas sure can see those stealthy hands of johnny being on his waist.

twenty looked up with glossy eyes and had his lips pouting cutely. ❝friends?❞

and the little boy then turned around only to see two kids looking at him and one giant tree giving out a creepy smile probably at ten and johnny. but his attention were mostly on the two kids and not on the giant tree. he could see a little girl having that wide smile as she waved her hand at him and also a boy that's looking away, being shy and all.

and then a smile was shown on his lips as he was convinced that they do no harm. ❝friends.❞
