❝so am i.❞ watching johnny walk in circles while having his hands clutched to his hair and pulling them as he scolded himself and mumbled some words that none of them made lucas understand anything. it honestly made lucas go crazy and dizzy. ❝what's the big deal?❞

❝he showed me his memories!❞ johnny shouted, making lucas scrunched his face when he saw saliva coming out from the male's mouth.

❝keep your dirty water all to your self.❞ he said as he scooted to the side, not wanting to be in front of johnny.

❝he showed me his memories.❞ johnny repeated, remembering what he saw the moment the little boy touched him and it made him go insane about it. ❝i saw it! it makes me feel sad finding out that he plays all by himself because ten is always busy.❞

lucas raised a brow, giving johnny a look. ❝i don't find anything wrong about it. every vampire has a special ability and it just so happen that he has the ability to show his memories to people.❞

❝but why would he show it to me?❞ johnny sat next to lucas and stayed there, thinking of something to answer his own questions. ❝and why did i cry after?❞

❝you cried?❞ lucas snorted, never knowing that his bestfriend is the emotional one. johnny never cries whenever they watch a movie. actually, lucas had only seen him cry when jaehyun and taeyong told him about his parents. even if only a tear fell from his eyes, johnny still cried and lucas could never forget that day. ❝why would you cry?❞

❝i also don't know.❞ he said, ❝it probably is because i saw ten crying, he showed me that, and also the times where he'd be locking himself inside his room whenever he craves for human blood.❞

hearing that then caught lucas' attention. ❝i heard from yuta that a vampire would only crave blood for their mate. if you don't have one then you'll be fine with an animal's blood.❞

furrowing his brows, johnny faced the younger and tilted his head to the side. ❝what's a mate?❞

❝at times like this, i just want to thank jaemin for leaving his books at my house.❞ lucas said, mentioning chenle's human friend that would visit them from time to time just to play with his daughter. ❝a mate is like your lover, in a human's dictionary, or just simply a partner.❞

❝so does ten have a mate?❞ johnny question, feeling something clenched inside his chest upon having the thought of ten having a lover. for god's sake, they just met and he's already feeling something for the vampire he works for.

❝that depends actually, did he bite someone?❞ lucas then had his eyes on johnny's hand that went to his neck to check if he has a bite mark, making lucas give him a smirk. ❝what are you doing?❞

❝hm?❞ he then noticed himself trying to find a bite mark on his neck, causing for his cheeks to heat up at lucas that's teasing him. ❝you got it all wrong!❞

❝sure, i'm guessing you're just massaging your neck?❞ lucas said, saving johnny from embarrassment even though he clearly knows the main reason why he has his hand roaming around his neck.

johnny then chuckled nervously with a nod. ❝y-yeah, that is exactly it.❞

❝anyways, back to the topic.❞ but lucas is definitely making a note inside his head to ask johnny about him and ten later. ❝mating can also strengthen the cravings of the other's blood.❞

to be really honest, johnny has no idea what he is talking about. ❝mating? are we animals now?❞

❝it's their term, johnny. get used to it, you're working for a vampire.❞ speaking of a specific vampire, lucas then remembered a conversation having ten's name in it but couldn't clearly recall what it is about. ❝i swear i heard ten's name somewhere in my life.❞

not paying attention to lucas' last sentence, johnny processed every information he had gotten from lucas and it made him wonder where lucas got all these. ❝is this from jaemin's book?❞

lucas shook his head, ❝i asked yuta about it.❞

❝why would you? wait, does vampire drink another vampire's blood?❞ having a scenario in mind, johnny gasped as he pointed a finger at lucas. ❝are you cheating on jungwoo for a vampire!?❞

❝no idiot.❞

❝only an idiot would call someone an idiot.❞ johnny said, giving him a playful smile. ❝idiot.❞

lucas sighed, now knowing jaehyun's feeling of kicking out johnny sometimes. ❝my son likes a vampire and this is why i got to know more about them. i have to know them because of my son.❞

❝oh,❞ johnny laughed at his friend who's stressing out about it. ❝kids these days are breaking the rules.❞

❝are you calling yuta a kid?❞ since yuta is also breaking the rules and is now hitting on that chinese waiter at a restaurant they would often go.

❝he's a kid by heart.❞ johnny said, not wanting to inside the japanese at any way. and then his mind went back to being curious about their topic way before they curved to another one. ❝so wait, ten is craving for his mate's blood? would he die if he doesn't get to drink it?❞

thinking about it, lucas hasn't asked any question to yuta about it neither was it in jaemin's book. ❝i don't know.❞

johnny then started to panic. for some reason, he didn't want ten to die. he had grown attached to him that he didn't want him to vanish. and there would be a problem if ten vanishes, who would take care of the little vampire? ❝we have to find ten's husband!❞

❝he's married?❞ and he's a rainbow?

tilting his head to the side, johnny blinked his eyes innocently at lucas. ❝is he not?❞

❝i don't remember seeing a ring on his finger.❞ then again, lucas didn't really get a good look of the vampire. after thinking about it, he looked back at johnny and then saw him smiling like crazy. ❝you're so obvious.❞

❝i don't know what you're saying.❞ the older said but still had that smile on his face. ❝hey, do you think it's possible for a mate to change?❞

yep, johnny has a thing for that vampire and lucas didn't need any more proof to that. johnny really is just obvious in showing his feelings for someone. just as lucas was about to answer his friend's question, something about him went out of his control. it was as if he couldn't tell his own body to move and he couldn't pick what words to say. ❝i think it's time for you to rest.❞

❝what?❞ johnny pouted when he saw lucas standing up and getting his coat by the other sofa. ❝but it's still daylight.❞

❝and you're going to meet ten later.❞ lucas said, placing a hand on johnny's shoulder to prevent him from standing up. ❝rest.❞

❝you know what's weird when the little vampire touched me?❞ johnny suddenly said, still not wanting for them to stop conversing. just when things got so interesting, lucas just had to end it. ❝i felt a connection between us.❞

lucas gave him a smile as he patted the male's shoulder. ❝you do need rest.❞

❝hey, i'm serious.❞

❝and i'm busy,❞ lucas then started to make his way towards the front door. ❝i'm just glad that you're alive.❞

before johnny could say something to stop him, lucas had already opened the door and left without letting johhny say a word. the human inside the apartment huffed as he crossed his arms across his chest, sulking. why can't lucas stay any longer and listen to him? not like he cared for his job in his company anyways.

getting back inside the room yawning, jaehyun opened his arms wide for taeyong to snuggle close to him. and as they laid there, jaehyun just had to ask something. ❝did you manage to get him out?❞

taeyong nodded his head with a hum. ❝he was hard to control but yeah, i did.❞

❝good.❞ jaehyun then tightened his embrace around his boyfriend's waist. ❝i want no one but ten to tell him.❞

❝don't you think you're being to hard on ten?❞ taeyong frown, finding jaehyun being too much for ten.

❝it's him being hard on himself.❞ he said before dozing off to sleep to avoid anymore questions and nags from his boyfriend.

❝twenty it's time for—❞ ten got inside his son's room only to realize he's not there. ❝twenty?❞

he then ran downstairs, making way to the kitchen hoping that his son is there and is looking for food. but to his dismay, he's not. he then started to panic, where could twenty be? he shouldn't be out of the house, ten had told him countless of times never to go out, and he had scolded him whenever he'd escape, there's no way twenty would rebel and actually—

❝there you are.❞ ten sighed in relief once he saw his son just by the front door, sitting down and staring straight to the door. ❝you made me worried.❞

❝papa, when is giant going to come?❞ the litte boy asked and stayed seating down there, not wanting to stand up until a specific giant would come.

❝you're waiting for..❞ ten furrowed his brows, ❝johnny?❞

they haven't been together for so long yet this little boy has got too attached with his babysitter. ten honestly doesn't know what to say about it since the babysitter isn't just a babysitter.

❝don't worry about him, he can take care of himself.❞ the vampire smiled at his son and went to wrap his arms around the little boy's body.

but everything seemed to pause as ten came in contact with twenty.

suddenly, a sight of johnny playing with twenty is what he saw. they were inside the study room. johnny brought the little boy's toys inside and played with him, pretending to be the pilot of the toy airplane he is holding and then a zombie for the next game they played. twenty hid behind the table and his laugh echoed to all four corners of the room. he then peeked his head from the table and shot johnny with his toy gun. why johnny went down, having a very dramatic death scene of his own, the little boy ran towards him only to be surprised by johnny and be engulfed in a tight hug.

and in the next second, ten was brought back to reality with his own son now sitting on his lap. he didn't expect that to happen, he didn't even know that twenty had such special ability. he thought he is just a normal human who can be as fast and as strong as a vampire.

but no, he's special.

❝how did you do that?❞

not answering the question, the little boy only let out a giggle as he squished his papa's cheeks using his small hands. ❝papa, can giant sleep here? i want to wake up with giant beside me.❞

❝what about papa?❞ ten just didn't want that to happen. hours of being with johnny and it resulted to him almost losing control, what more if he'll be living the same room with them?

❝then..❞ the little boy puffed his cheeks while tapping his chin, thinking of a way to make his papa happy. ❝papa and giant can sleep with twenty!❞

imagining that scenario inside is head made ten smile, which he had to shrug off the next moment when someone started to knock the door. putting his son behind him, ten stared right through the door and started to read whoever's mind to see if it's a threat visiting them.

❝spongebob?❞ it didn't take long for ten to know who was right behind that door. ❝why on earth would he think of spongebob?❞

hearing a voice outside caused twenty to happily jump from his place and clap in excitement as he knew who it was. ❝giant man!❞

ten stood up from the floor and went to open the door just to greeted by a tall man with a wide smile on. inviting him inside the house, twenty immediately rushed towards them and hugged the man's legs very tight.

❝you're late.❞ then again, ten didn't really set any time for johnny to come but he told him to come at the afternoon and it's clearly early evening.

❝jaehyun had to lecture me about vampires.❞ johnny then gave ten a tired look. ❝i don't even know why.❞

❝really?❞ he mumbled a curse under his breath. he wasn't ready yet, and he doesn't know when he'll be, and then there's jaehyun rushing things for him. ❝it's probably because you're working for us.❞

❝yeah but i've been living with them, they are vampires.❞ johnny saw the little boy still clinging to him.

he let out a silent giggle before crouching down to match the boy's height and he was once again being squished by him in a tight hug. johnny suddenly felt all warm, loved, and it just felt so right.

❝i missed you.❞

❝aw, i was just out for a while little vamp.❞  johnny ruffled his hair and earned a pout from him.

❝but little vamp has no one to play with except for giant.❞ he said, wrapping his arms on johnny's neck.

❝well, giant is here now.❞

watching the two of them interact really made ten feel like a bad person for not letting either of them know anything. maybe it isn't a bad idea to let johnny know about them. it doesn't look like he'll actually leave them for it, seeing how he is close with his son.

they even look like a cute family, with johnny's giant size and twenty's small one.

❝i can read your mind.❞ johnny spoke, snapping ten back to reality and making the vampire look at him. he then wiggled his brows in a teasing way with a smirk on, ❝i know i'm handsome, no need to repeat it all over inside your head.❞

for a second there, ten actually believed him.

❝shut up.❞

but jokes aside, johnny really is attractive.
