❝i don't think what you're doing is right.❞ yuta said, about to flop his body down the sofa but someone got ahead of him. ❝lucas!❞

yuta wanted to curse at lucas for stealing the spot for him on the sofa but then again, he and jaehyun are at lucas's so who is he to complain? instead, he used the remaining space beside the giant's feet and sat there as he focused his attention back on jaehyun who's sitting comfortably on the other sofa.

❝should i have asked him first then?❞ jaehyun threw a popcorn inside his mouth before raising a brow at the struggling japanese.

yuta clicked his tongue and slapped lucas' feet, hearing the younger's muffling sobs but ignored it. ❝it's their life, it's up to them if they want to meet up or not.❞

❝but he has been begging me—❞

yuta shut his eyes tight in frustration, frustrated because of jaehyun's action that hasn't been thought through. ❝he only asked you once.❞ then he pointed a finger at jaehyun. ❝once, jaehyun. he asked you once about his whereabouts and here you are, putting them together without neither of them knowing.❞

❝what can i say?❞ jaehyun teasingly raised his brows up and down with a shrug on his shoulders as he ate another piece of popcorn. ❝i'm a cupid.❞

❝you are a vampire!❞ the japanese groaned, being the one worried for what jaehyun had done. just as he was to have another round of scolding with his stupid friend, another friend of his disturbed him with his loud cries that he has been hearing the moment he flopped down the sofa. ❝why are you crying?❞

those cries of lucas aren't even the silent ones, neither it is even pleasing to hear, it got to a point where yuta grew annoyed from it.

but then, an angelic chuckle coming from heaven— coming from the kitchen held yuta back from doing something to lucas. jaehyun turned around, with a bowl of popcorn in hand, and greeted lucas' husband with a wide smile. sure, their friends with lucas but that doesn't mean that they are also that close with jungwoo. although, they aren't in bad terms with the human. the husband smiled back and the two vampires could have sworn that they felt like they were in heaven for a moment.

making them shake their heads and reminding themselves that they have their own man.

❝i have sicheng.❞ yuta reminded himself, claiming that human that isn't even his in the first place. who knows if sicheng does even know him.

meanwhile, jaehyun slapped himself lightly as he was afraid to ruin his lovely face but nonetheless, he slapped himself. ❝taeyong is going to slap me if he finds out about this anyways, might as well slap myself.❞ he said, mentioning his vampire boyfriend that's working at an all-vampire university.

going back to lucas crying an ocean and sounding like a whale that has a deep ass voice, jungwoo giggled at how dramatic his lover can be. he went pass by the two vampires, not minding them, and crouched down on lucas' side just to give him a soft kiss on top of his head.

❝stop crying.❞ jungwoo patted the giant's shoulder before standing up. ❝i'm picking jeffrey and yanna up, would you want me to buy pizza on my way home?❞ the mention of pizza, jungwoo knows well that everything can be solved with pizza when it comes to lucas.

and just as he expected, the gianta sat up in a blink of an eye and even making the two vampires flinch. with his eyes still producing tears and lips swollen, lucas nodded his head slowly. ❝please.❞ he looked cute in jungwoo's eyes.

giving both the vampires his usual cute smile, jungwoo settled a long kiss on his husband's lips before leaving the house. he left lucas with two vampires but jungwoo knows those two are harmless. but even though, he just didn't want to associate with them and get in trouble.

yuta then turned his eyes to lucas, now being worried. ❝hey, what's wrong man?❞

jaehyun placed the bowl of popcorn down the coffee table and had his fists clenched. ❝i am ready to fight whoever hurt our little lucas.❞

❝s-shut up.❞ lucas whined, wiping his tears as he cleared his throat to speak properly. ❝i'm larger than you both.❞

❝we are vampires.❞ yuta shrugged, stating the obvious that vampires are much more powerful that human beings.

❝so what—❞

jaehyun then had his index finger pointed at the bowl of popcorn. just after a few more seconds, a piece flew up in the air and made jaehyun smirk in victory. yuta furrowed his brows at what jaehyun is doing but then smirked along with him the next second, joining in the fun. he then blew lightly on the popcorn piece and it lit up small fire, making lucas widened his eyes.

jaehyun motioned his index finger towards lucas and the popcorn with small fire went flying towards lucas' direction, causing the giant to panic. luckily for him, it passed by right on top of him but unluckily it put a strand of his hair on fire and probably the carpet too since the popcorn landed there.

❝dude!❞ lucas tapped his head countess of times as he stood up to stomp on the popcorn. he then sighed in relief after putting the fire out, just in time not burning the carpet. ❝show offs.❞

they saw the human huff and can't help but chuckle at his childish action. the human went back sitting next to yuta, making sure to distance himself from him.

❝but seriously,❞ jaehyun leaned back and tilted his head to the side. ❝what's wrong?❞

yuta sighed. ❝wish he is here to read your mind.❞

lucas didn't understand what the japanese meant but he guessed that it's another vampire friend of his with a special ability to read minds. it made lucas think, why can't humans have that? why can't they shoot fire, move things, read minds, or just simply being a fast runner.

johnny is right, humans are boring.

❝i'm just stressed out.❞

❝work?❞ jaehyun took the bowl of popcorn from the table and placed it back on his lap. ❝to the point that you're crying.❞

❝no.❞ remembering the reason made lucas shed tears again, making the two vampires to panic. ❝it's about my son.❞

❝what about my beloved jeffrey?❞ jaehyun said, showing that he's worried. the japanese then nudge the male, telling him that it's lucas' son and not his. the other vampire rolled his eyes and went back to caring for lucas' son.

lucas first wiped his tears before speaking. ❝he has a crush on a vampire.❞

❝what?!❞

❝aw, sweet.❞

both jaehyun and yuta had different reactions, the two even argued with their eyes and is making lucas be confused at their actions.

❝that's totally fine lucas.❞ yuta comforted him in a way that he won't force his son to fall out of love.

❝where is your son enrolled anyways?❞ jaehyun wanted to be subtle but he was pretty obvious that didn't support the idea of a human falling for a vampire. ❝aren't vampires and humans separated?❞ even in education, yes.

❝yeah but you know..❞ lucas chuckled nervously as he rubbed his nape. ❝chenle mayhaps convinced me to put jeffrey in a vampire school together with his son.❞ he said, mentioning his fellow chinese human friend, then defended himself before the two attacks him. ❝jiro and jeffrey are inseparable! jiro wants to go to a vampire school for some reasons and jeffrey wants to follow his bro friend. man, i'd do the same for you guys.❞

❝the difference is,❞ jaehyun ran a hand through his hair before he burst. ❝we are older than you for a hundred year! we already finished that shit long ago when you aren't born yet.❞

❝yeah, but i'd still do the same.❞ lucas shrugged. ❝you guys want to go back to college?❞

❝no!❞ jaehyun shouted.

meanwhile yuta chuckled. ❝sounds fun.❞ the japanese then gave his other vampire friend a look. ❝hey you, calm down.❞

❝how can i?❞ jaehyun stared at them with wide eyes. ❝it's a human and a vampire.❞

yuta pursed his lips and looked away. ❝i don't see you that way towards johnny and ten.❞

❝we are talking about kids here—❞

❝they still have the same type of relationship!❞ yuta raised his voice, making lucas flinch but jaehyun more angry.

the two vampires were now standing, facing each other, and lucas was finding a way to stop them from fighting that'll lead them to destroying his house. jungwoo will kill him no doubt if they do fight inside his house.

❝can't you just support them just like how you are doing with johnny and ten?❞ yuta said, looking straight to jaehyun's eyes. he didn't want to anger the male more which is why he lowered his voice down. ❝you even set them up in secret, you are that supportive of them. yet, you can't even support the kids.❞

lucas furrowed his brows once he heard an unfamiliar name. ❝who is ten?❞

lucas' question got them both back to their senses. jaehyun was the first one to sit back down and then followed by yuta who's still giving jaehyun a look. ❝i'm sorry.❞

lucas smile and was about to pat jaehyun's shoulder but then thought that maybe jaehyun hasn't calmed down fully yet so he patted jaehyun by the air. ❝it's okay man.❞

❝who does jeffrey like?❞ jaehyun questioned, wanting for lucas to forgot that he asked who ten is. it wasn't the right time to tell lucas.

the giant squinted his eyes as he stared at the wall. ❝i think his name is..❞ he turned to the two with an unsure look. ❝chan?❞

the both of them then gasped in surprise. ❝it's mark's and donghyuck's son—❞

yuta and jaehyun stared at each other, giving each other opposite looks. yuta nodded his head with a smile while jaehyun shook his head from side to side with a frown. lucas doesn't know what was happening but he's sure that it isn't good.

❝mark is protective as heck.❞  jaehyun reminded the japanese. ❝he can possibly kill lucas' family if that happens.❞

❝wait what?❞ hearing that made lucas shiver. ❝i don't want to die!❞

yuta groaned in annoyance. ❝this wall of chogi between humans and vampires is killing me.❞ he said while flopping his head down on lucas' lap. ❝why can't we fall in love with each other?❞

❝maybe the vampire god had a bad past with a human.❞ lucas guessed, earning looks from the two vampires when he called their king 'vampire god'. ❝wait, do you guys call him dracula?❞

jaehyun was about to answer that question but a phone ring stopped him from doing so. pulling his phone out from his pocket, the caller id made him look at yuta for a split second before answering the phone call.

❝hey, johnny?❞

"are you sure this is the right place?"

taking long and boring steps, johnny felt shivers down his spine as he was walking around the woods. at first he was excited, so excited to start his job. babies may not be his favorite but it's better than working at a flower shop just to destroy the flowers in the end and get scolded by the owner. taking care of kids isn't that bad, maybe.

but this a little vampire he'll be babysitting. it won't be that hard, right?

"did you follow the directions i gave you?"

johnny nodded at jaehyun's question, finding it stupid since jaehyun can't see him. ❝yeah. found a sign that's being placed oddly beside the road and i went straight to the woods.❞

"just keep on walking."

johnny groaned. ❝i've been walking for like, an hour.❞ hearing jaehyun being silent over the line made johnny pout. ❝okay, maybe just fifteen minutes.❞

"just continue." that's what jaehyun said but johnny swore that he heard him whisper about something. "it's hidden in the woods for a reason."

❝if i keep straight, would i just see a house?❞ johnny questioned, getting impatient at every step he takes.

but not a moment later, johnny finally had arrived to his destination. he didn't expect it to be dark.. and empty. with a frown on his face, johnny went back to talking to jaehyun on the phone.

❝is this one of your pranks?❞

"what?"

but even thought he could see that it looked empty and abandoned, johnny continued to walk towards the only house in the woods. ❝the house is not even at a right state! this looks abandoned. did i go to a wrong house? and why is it even dark here, i could have sworn the sun is still up.❞

"you finally arrived." jaehyun sighed in relief, was worried for a second thinking that johnny got lost. who knows who could have gotten johnny in the woods. wild vampires are  around and would take any chance. "just knock the door and enjoy!"

❝what? wai—❞ johnny mumbled a curse when jaehyun ended the call before he could ask any
more questions.

breathing in and out to compose himself, johnny gathered his courage to knock on the door. first knock, he was ignored. second knock, still nothing. he promised himself that if no one's going to come out at his third knock, he's going to run away and choke jaehyun when he sees him.

"coming!"

a smile curved on johnny's lips when he heard a voice. fixing himself, he took a step away from the door and got himself ready for the door to be opened and to greet the vampire who needed a babysitter for the baby.

the door was finally opened and johnny could feel his heart beating very fast out of nervousness and the next thing he knows, butterflies started to swarm his stomach upon seeing a short male with a small figure coming out of the house.

❝can i help you?❞
