he didn't know he had already fallen asleep. the last thing he remembered was finding out that it was already late but the baby still wanted to play rather than to be put to bed. the little boy's study session was the only time johnny gets to rest because after that, the boy treated him as if he is his playmate. johnny isn't complaining about it, he just didn't expect for it to be so tiring. he thought blinking his eyes would do but the next second after, he's already sleeping down the sofa with the little boy laying down next to him.

the boy wasn't tired nor was he a tad bit sleepy but he just can't get himself to be away from johnny.

staring at the babysitter for a long time, his eyes gave up after and twenty dozed off right next to johnny.

❝you're awake.❞

johnny had his eyes half opened, still wanting to sleep, but as he heard a familiar voice, he was awoken by it. he's awake but didn't bother getting up, he had alot of scenarios inside his head about ten killing him for sleeping first and not being able to watch over the kid when it's his job to do so. he then had a great plan of closing his eyes back again and pretend to go to sleep until ten leaves him there.

but who is he to fool ten?

❝i'm not going to kill you.❞ the person sighed. ❝i just want to talk.❞

johnny opened on eye and saw ten sitting at the space left in the sofa he is laying down at. soon later, he slowly sat down and that's when he could feel himself dozing off once again. but for the sake of ten not scolding him, he needs to stay awake. ten just can't help but smile watching him fight over sleep, his head would lean back and then front, his eyes would slowly close and then open again, and he would let out uncontrollable snors from time to time.

ten honestly found it cute— no.

❝i just want to thank you for looking out for twenty.❞ ten said, putting johnny awake after hearing the little boy's name.

johnny then scanned his eyes at the living room and panicked when he didn't see the kid that drained his energy. ❝where's the little vamp?❞

ten furrowed his brows, why is johnny so worried? the look he is having is no joke. despite of being sleepy, he still is worrying about the kid's whereabouts. ❝he's inside his room, i carried him there since he slept along with you.❞

hearing that then made johnny heave out a relieving sigh, placing a hand on his chest to feel his fast heartbeat slowing down. not long after, johnny looked up and gave the vampire one lazy smirk. ❝what about me?❞

ten furrowed his brows, not understanding him. ❝what?❞

johnny then pulled off a pout. ❝why didn't you carry me to our room?❞

feeling his head boiling, ten was holding back the urge to throw his fist at johnny. not only will he be able to break all of the human's bones, taeyong and jaehyun would kill him for hurting the person they raised. ❝even when sleepy, you still are sane to play around.❞

speaking of taeyong, he was scolding him and giving him a talk about marriage life. ten didn't even know how it came to that but what he could remember from it was taeyong going off about having a complete family and why it should be cherished no matter what the differences are. it made ten wonder, what did jaehyun do to him to make him snap like that?

❝johnny?❞ just as ten got out from his thoughts, johnny's eyes had now been close and he was sitting down his his body leaning towards the sofa's backrest. ❝did twenty really tire you out?❞

not receiving any answer but a snor, ten sat there staring at him. he didn't have the heart to wake johnny up, he only had his eyes on the giant that's peacefully sleeping. he's attractive as heck, that's what ten could say. also, he's far different from the johnny he met that specific night. with that look of his, ten didn't expect for johnny to be so stupid.

❝is there a chance you'll leave us if you find out?❞ ten asked, not wanting to hear any reply. not like johnny would answer anyways, he's asleep. ❝i'm sorry, i'm still not ready to tell you.❞

ten had heard taeyong talking about johnny knowing something without him saying anything, which actually scared ten, but he only think that it was a coincidence. there's no way johnny would sense the kid being a half blood.

seeing what's inside his head, ten couldn't help but have a small smile on. johnny is dreaming about what happened awhile ago. playing with the little boy and being dragged by him everywhere. ten could feel how tired he is but johnny still managed to put on a bright smile for the little boy. it honestly melted his heart.

❝i don't know if you're naturally good with kids or something really is happening here.❞ ten would like to stick with his own choice not to tell johnny but if ever he does find out, then ten would have no choice but to accept it.

placing a hand on the human's soft locks, ten ran his hand over his hair slowly and softly. he didn't know why but he's suddenly finding johnny's charms pulling him close. it's making ten touch him when he's actually not fond of skinship with a human. not like he'd encounter a lot of them, he would always try to avoid them and not associate with them.

he'd like to keep it that way but johnny just had to put a spell on him and make him do things without having his head to think about it.

just like right now. ten is leaning forward, fully aware that johnny is sleeping and he is taking advantage of it. he had his eyes shot bloody red, and lips parted to show his fangs that's itching to get a taste of johnny's skin. he didn't know why he's acting like this, he's screaming on the inside, wanting for himself to stop but can't take control of his body.

❝johnny.❞ he wanted to taste his blood and he also wanted to mark him.

a sudden loud snor from johnny then snapped ten back to his senses, making him breathe heavily after realizing what just happened.

the vampire placed his head down to johnny's shoulder and shut his eyes tight, wanting to collect himself and not lose control ever again. ❝i really need to bring you home.❞

this is the main reason why ten didn't want to meet him ever again after that incident because he knew. he knew that he'd be craving for him and his blood.

a warm air brushing right through him, the sun shining up there for him, the birds chirping in a song like tone, everything around him seems to be happy greeting him a very good morning. what ever could lucas want?

❝my bestfriend.❞ he sighed, continuing to walk until he saw a familiar building. ❝he couldn't have died, did he?❞

a day haven't passed by yet lucas is starting to miss johnny's presence. usually, that boy would either go to his own office and annoy the shit out of him or just simply visit their home and make a mess. lucas found the day without johnny very quiet and odd, it just didn't feel so right without him. he was happy for him after finding out from jaehyun that he's working as a babysitter but he can't help but worry about him and also miss him.

❝he should just stay jobless.❞ lucas mumbled as he went up to the stairs and looking at the numbers from the door until he stopped by a specific one. ❝he has me to ask for money. he has both jaehyun and taeyong taking care of him. why would he find himself a job?❞

because that's how life goes but lucas definitely just didn't want for johnny to be separated by him. they are like, bros for life.

he didn't care if jaehyun and taeyong are sleeping by now, well it's morning so they probably are, but he's going to knock the door to his apartment and hopefully he's going to meet johnny after a long one day.

❝excuse me?❞

before lucas could even knock his knuckles to the door, a voice halted him from doing so. turning to the side, he had his eyes widened when he saw a small man wearing sweatpants and a sweater with a cap, all black. but the guy's outfit isn't what caught his eyes, it's the giant he is carrying like a bride. the person he has been missing so much, looking so dead.

❝johnny!❞ lucas ran towards them with tears threatening to fall from his eyes. ❝are you dead? fucking tree, why did you die!?❞

he kneeled down in front of the short male looking like a criminal with what he is wearing. lucas was now crying so hard, he can't bear looking at johnny in that state. he knew working with the vampires is a big no no. lucas could have done something, he could have discouraged johnny in working for the vampires but instead he didn't care.

glaring up, lucas charged forward and took hold of the guy's sweater, gripping very tight at the cloth and almost feeling his own nails. ❝you did this?❞

the short male looked up at the human that's glaring down at him and he could only grit his teeth at him, not being able to do anything since he has johnny in his arms. ❝let go of me, human.❞

but his red eyes glistening is enough to warn the human not to mess with him.

❝a vampire.❞ lucas very well knows that he can't go up against a vampire, he's just an innocent human being after all, but he's holding the corpse of his bestfriend. ❝why the fuck did you—❞

❝let go of me.❞ the vampire warned him, he will not hesitate to drop johnny's body and attack the unknown human in front of him.

lucas scoffed, ❝how about you let go of my best—❞

❝why the fuck do you have to be so loud early in the morning lucas?❞ johnny groaned, scooting his body to the side thinking that he's laying down on a bed. that resulted to him falling down from the vampire's arms.

lucas removed his hands from the short male and took a step back when johnny rolled on the floor with a loud groan in pain. looking back up, he now saw the vampire in a position to pounce at him.

seeing that he was wrong to jump to conclusions, lucas chuckled nervously while having both his hands raised in defense. ❝d-do vampires take jokes?❞

still feeling the pain in his back, johnny was the one who answered his question. ❝no, no they don't lucas.❞

sweat then went down to lucas' face like it was on a race with each drop. ❝i think my client calls my presence in the office.❞

❝don't think you'll get out of here alive.❞ the vampire uttered with a smirk before zooming towards lucas who's now screaming like a girl in a horror movie and having his fists waved anywhere in air.

and surprisingly, one made a good landing on the vampire's cheeks.

❝holy crispy shit!❞ lucas gasped and covered his mouth, totally not expecting that.

johnny saw and had never been so up for risking his life for lucas. he pushed himself up from the ground, feeling the pain on his back but ignored it, and sprinted his way in front of lucas to block him from the vampire's sight.

❝ten no, he is stupid and he didn't mean it.❞

lucas then held to johnny very tight, ❝i'll accept that for now.❞

❝he punched me in the face!❞ ten stood up while having a hand on his cheeks.

❝because you scared him!❞ johnny groaned, walking towards the vampire and helping him up. he then removed ten's hand and he replaced it with his own, caressing the vampire's skin very softly. ❝damn, he did hit hard.❞

❝it was an accident, i swear.❞ lucas then clasped his hand together as if he was begging, making ten lose his motivation to hurt the human. ❝please don't kill me.❞

clicking his tongue, ten rolled his eyes at the other tall guy before looking back at johnny who's gaze is just on him. ten stared with his brows furrowed, reading the human's head and all he heard was compliments.

how beautiful his red eyes were, reminding him of strawberries, how smooth his skin is, like a baby's skin, and how a walking piece of art he is. are all vampires gifted of beauty? ❝yes, johnny, we are.❞

lucas then blinked upon hearing the vampire speak without johnny saying anything. ❝is he crazy?❞

ten gave the human a glare. johnny then sighed seeing ten being so against with lucas. ❝leave him alone ten, he's innocent.❞

❝his mind says the opposite.❞ ten said. ❝is that your husband?❞

the vampire took a step back while giving the human a disgust look. lucas then understood after a few moments of standing there looking clueless.

❝great, he can read minds now? what next, we will meet one that can break bones?❞ lucas scoffed.

❝actually, he can also break bones.❞

lucas then realized something. ❝look, i thought your were going to kill me so my husband came to my mind because i love him.❞

ten raised a brow while folding his arms across his chest. ❝but he appeared naked inside your head.❞

❝well because—❞ lucas groaned in annoyance while he pointed a finger at the vampire, was about to go up against him but johnny stopped him before he lays a finger and hurt himself. ❝want me to punch you again?❞

❝lucas, you wouldn't want to do that.❞

ten then took a step closer, making johnny hold him back with his other hand. ❝let me see you try.❞

❝no one is fighting!❞ johnny raised his voice, glaring at the two. he swore he could have woken both taeyong and jaehyun by now but that doesn't matter. what matters is keeping lucas alive and ten back to his house. ❝ten, it's best if you go back. little vamp might be looking for you.❞

❝little..❞ the short male tilted his head to the side. ❝vamp?❞

johnny then shrugged. ❝it's cute.❞

letting out a sigh, ten gave lucas one last look before turning his back at them and started to walk away. ❝and oh, johnny, you seemed to be having fun calling me by my nickname.❞

johnny then raised both his brows and took him seconds before finally getting it. ❝right, chittaporn.❞

ten was too tired to correct that. ❝later this afternoon johnny, come over because we need to have a talk.❞

❝yes porn.❞ johnny then saluted at him for no reason, putting his hand down after finding it very awkward. ❝you take care on your way and don't kill anyone.❞

ten turned around with the scoff. ❝the only person i'll be killing is lucas.❞

and that was the last thing he said before disappearing from their sights in just a blink of an eye. johnny and lucas stood there for a few more seconds before looking at each other. lucas had his face in panic while johnny was smiling widely.

❝he won't really kill me, will he?❞

johnny shook his head. ❝nah, he's a good vampire.❞

❝i think this is enough information in just one day, i better get going—❞

❝nope.❞ johnny took hold of lucas' wrist and drag him over to his shared apartment with jaehyun and taeyong. ❝i have so much to talk about.❞
