pushing the door open with full force, twenty happily got inside his own room with his friends tagging from behind and had a victorious smile on once he saw then having their jaws dropped at the sight. of course, having so many toys inside your room is something kids is so proud to flaunt with.

❝a castle!❞ the girl's eyes lit up in sparkles as she saw a castle being well built by building blocks. even with her brother shouting her name, she continued to run in excitement to the castle and get closer to it. ❝did you make it all by yourself?❞

❝yanna behave.❞ jeffrey sighed, seeing his sister being all excited is nothing to be happy about. sometimes she just overdoes it and everything will all go wrong.

with hands on his hips, the little boy nodded his head. ❝giant helped me.❞

a pout was then shown on yanna's lips as she crossed her arms. ❝that's unfair, uncle suh never wants to play with me.❞

finding a comfortable chair to sit down, jeffrey gave his sister a look. ❝that's because you always scare him with your dolls.❞

huffing at the fact her brother just said, the girl decided to ignore her brother and play with the little boy instead. ❝who is the princess?❞ she questioned, gasping when she saw crowns being hidden under a cloth. she then took a tiara and gave it to twenty, giving him one bright smile.

remember when twenty said that he's the princess? this girl really is taking that place with just that beautiful smile. twenty just can't help but admire her smile that can brighten up everyone's day. ❝d-do you want to be the princess?❞

jeffrey, who's just seated at a distance, only raised a brow after hearing the little boy stutter and also turn all red. he guessed that it's the effect his sister has put on him.

she really isn't forcing twenty to make her the princess of his castle, her smile is just too irresistible. ❝can i?❞

how can twenty say no to that? twenty nodded his head aggressively without thinking twice, already forgetting that he was supposed to be the princess in that castle he made together with johnny. the girl wore the tiara in the most messy way, not bothering to put it properly, and took another crown that looked like a king would wear it.

with a bright idea, yanna gave the crown to twenty. ❝can my brother be the king?❞

nodding his head, twenty turned around and approached the boy that sat alone at a corner and just watched them play. he then gave the boy a shy smile before handing him the crown that the girl gave him. ❝you can be the king.❞

now being so close to him, jeffrey just noticed how small the boy is. he looked so delicate, so fragile, like a treasure that needs to be guarded and protected. he didn't know why he just felt so much emotions with the little boy around but he sure knows that this isn't the first time he had felt this.

❝hyung?❞ twenty tilted his head to the side, curious as to why jeffrey only stared at him instead of getting the crown he is holding.

even his voice matches how vulnerable he is. jeffrey then shook the thoughts away and took the crown from the little boy's soft, small hand. ❝sure, i'll be the king.❞

finding two crowns left, one crown caught jeffrey's attention that made him stand up from his seat and walk towards his sister while the other crown was left on the girl's hand. the siblings stood there with their eyes on the crowns and then at twenty who's standing there, just being cutely clueless.

just when twenty went to approach the castle, the siblings surrounded him with different crowns on their hold.

❝would you like to be the prince?❞ yanna said with her signature bright smile that twenty admired so much.

when he was about to give the girl an honest answer, which was a yes since he can't be a princess so why not a prince? but before he could let out a sound, jeffrey had cut him off and asked him a question.

❝would you like to be my queen?❞

twenty stood there, never been so unsure in his entire life. ❝eh?❞

❝you look weird.❞

johnny removed his eyes from the flat screen and gave lucas a mocking smile. ❝coming from you.❞

munching the snack that ten gave him, lucas scoffed. ❝i am the good type of weird, you're the bad type.❞

johnny didn't mind whatever lucas was sprouting about with his mouth full and just went back to entertaining himself with the variety show he is watching. he wanted to get his mind off of something before a specific vampire actually reads his thoughts.

❝see, you're spacing out.❞

❝i'm watching.❞ johnny replied after to stop lucas from getting wrong ideas.

❝tell me,❞ scooting closer to his friend, lucas continued to munch his snack while he spoke with his mouth full. ❝is it about ten?❞

johnny's ears then twitched th moment the vampire's name was mentioned. lucas didn't a vocal answer, seeing how johnny's body reacted after saying his name is all lucas wanted to know. ❝how did you and jungwoo get together?❞

lucas didn't expect that question all of the sudden. he and jungwoo have been together for years yet he still gets all flustered whenever someone ask anything about their relationship. ❝why are you suddenly asking me that? you already know our cliche love story.❞

❝yeah but..❞ johnny sighed. ❝nevermind.❞

a smirk was then formed on lucas's lips, already knowing johnny's purpose. ❝after for so long, johnmy has finally fallen in love?❞ he teased, nudging the now blushing male. ❝so, you finally moved on from that boy you had a one night stand with?❞

❝that wasn't just a one night stand!❞ johnny raised his voice, startling his human friend. it always annoys him whenever lucas or anyone for that matter would always address that very night as a one night stand. ❝at least i don't think it is. you don't get attached to people you have one night stand with, but he is different.❞

lucas moved away as he went back to munching his snack, not wanting to get close to johnny or he'll get to taste his fists.

❝what am i talking?❞ johnny let out a chuckle. ❝i can't even remember his face nor his voice. i don't even know his name.❞

lucas wanted to say something but decided to just leave johnny alone and let everything he felt out.

❝but something that night made me think that it's special.❞

but lucas' mouth just had to betray him and say something stupid. ❝it's probably the alcohol.❞

❝no.❞ johnny shook his head, turning to lucas just for the younger to see how serious he is. ❝i was sane enough to find the night very special.❞

that earned a scoff from lucas. ❝but so drunk to even remember who that person is.❞

even johnny doesn't understand how it works. ❝let's not talk about this.❞

❝but hey, you have ten now.❞

it not like johnny didn't want to break the rules, breaking the rules is his favorite thing to do, but he can't just go with someone who still has his heart on his possible husband. ten wants the person who got him pregnant to marry him and that's enough for johnny to know his boundaries.

❝what are you thinking about?❞ lucas blinked, getting curious after seeing johnny spacing out.

at this moment, johnny just thanked the gods above that lucas isn't a vampire who can read minds. if he can then he would have teased him by now. ❝nothing, let's just continue watching this show.❞

behind the wall that separates the living room and the kitchen, ten had his back leaned to the wall as he heard their conversation loud and clear. he can even hear what's going on inside their heads and he could see lucas getting worried and at the same time being all curious as to what is happening to johnny.

as for the human who got his feelings all messed up, ten finds it stupid how johnny is holding himself back just because ten wants to marry a person whom he didn't know that is him. then again, ten can't blame johnny. johnny doesn't know and ten left him the next day after they had that very night.

ten wanted to stay inside the kitchen for a while, to gather up his thoughts peacefully and also not to get caught eavesdropping on their conversation, but he could hear footsteps outside his house that made him drop the bowl of popcorn that he's supposed to give to johhny.

both the humans by the sofa flinched when they saw ten appearing right in front of them in a blink of an eye. ❝what—❞

❝get behind me!❞ he ordered, making the two quickly follow him.

they didn't know what was happening but seeing the vampire looking like that already shows that something bad is happening. ten blocked the two trees that's standing behind him as he eyed the door that has just been open.

only to show someone familiar, a friend in fact.

❝yuta?❞

the vampire widened his eyes and had his brows raised upon seeing both johnny and lucas standing behind ten who was in a position to fight. ❝what are you doing?❞

❝i thought your were someone else.❞ ten clicked his tongue at how his senses were fooling him, maybe because he was emotionally not stable and it caused his senses to act up. ❝what are you doing here?❞

❝what are they doing here?❞ yuta asked back.

❝why are you here?❞ the two human beings answered with another question.

finding this situation very annoying, ten groaned and decided to answer for them. ❝you know why johnny is here. the other human being—❞

❝i'm lucas wong.❞ the male introduced himself just in case te. hasn't got his name yet.

❝whatever.❞ the vampire eyed lucas before looking back at yuta. ❝he's here because he brought his kids to play with twenty.❞

❝that's cute.❞ yuta said with a chuckle. ❝anyways, i need to talk to you.❞

seeing that yuta is here for ten, the vampire went over to him while having the two human beings being tagged along from behind. ❝stay here.❞

the two towers stopped once they saw the vampire's warning look. ❝but what if another vampire comes in and attacks us?❞

❝no one will come.❞ yuta said pointing a finger to the hem of lucas' shirt. ❝your shirt is on fire.❞

❝wha— ah!❞ with lucas panicking, johnny came to help put out the fire that's slowly getting bigger.

the two vampires were left unfazed at the sight and just went to the kitchen, making sure that it's just them and neither of the followed them. yuta knew that he can just kill the fire later if it gets out of hand, for now let it serve as a distraction while he gets to have a private talk with ten who's oddly silent.

❝it's so not you to be so quite.❞ yuta commented as he made his way up seated on the kitchen island.

ten went to pick up the bowl of popcorn that he had dropped a while ago and throw the remaining popcorn on the ground. ❝and it's so not like you to come here without telling me.❞

❝i went to visit donghyuck a while ago.❞ yuta started, making the other stop whatever he was doing. ❝i know you hate him for almost betraying you but he saw your future.❞

donghyuck is a vampire that ten doesn't want to be close with. sure, he's a walking fluffball but he was the first one to turn his back on him when he found out about him having a half blooded child. it took donghyuck a whole day of talking with his husband before he considering ten's situation. ❝i don't care.❞

❝you have to because not only does this include your son,❞ yuta came down the kitchen island and went over to ten who's washing his hands by the sink. ❝but also johnny.❞

ten froze, what does johnny have to do with this? he doubts that donghyuck has even met him.

❝donghyuck said something about someone bringing your son out of the and that's how you'll get caught.❞ yuta said, hoping that he could convince ten to listen to him and do something. ❝aside from taeyong who's twenty tutor, johnny is the only one that's with twenty all the time. maybe this plan of jaehyun is a bad idea after all. i know he just wants for your family to be complete, i also know you want it too, but this isn't a good—❞

❝yuta.❞ ten turned around and placed a hand soft on the vampire's cheek, reading his mind and smiling at the fact that yuta is worried. ❝donghyuck's visions aren't always perfect.❞

❝that was one time.❞ yuta said, remembering donghyuck telling them about a certain basketball team winning but that didn't happen. ❝and that was just a guess, he didn't use his ability to know the results.❞

❝i trust johnny.❞ ten said, giving yuta a look. ❝i know he won't bring twenty out of the house, i already warned him not to.❞

❝he knows about twenty being half?❞

❝no but i know he won't go against me.❞ he smiled before walking out of the kitchen. ❝how about you join us? we are going to watch a movie.❞

he has put too much trust on johnny after hearing their conversation and it's something to either be happy about or to be worried about.
