A little something based off of Slenderman
This is the story of a child who was a little too curious.
Once upon a time, there was a child named Allo. Allo had lot of friends and loved to play and explore. However, in her village, there was a legend. A legend about the woods that made up one of the town's borders. They said, if you went too far into the woods, you would get taken away by a mysterious force. One day, Allo and their friends decided to test if the legend was true. They all went to the edge of the woods and, seeing no one else around, they went inside. The children had made a promise to never get separated in case something tried to attack them, but Allo was too eager to explore and ran ahead. When they stopped to look around, they realized that they could no longer see or hear their friends. They got scared, and walked around aimlessly, calling for their friends for hours as the sun went down and the darkness grew. They heard a stick snap behind them and turned around, only to be met with a tall, thin man. The man's face was hidden in the shadows, but his voice echoed inside of Allo's head, clear as day. 'Excuse me child, are you lost?' Allo said yes and told the man what they and their friends had decided to do. The man held out his pure-white hand for them. 'Do not worry, child, I will show you the way out of the forest.' Allo took the man's hand and followed him through the trees. But, instead of the town, they came to a pitch-black clearing. Allo asked the man if they were going the right way. The man turned around and Allo saw that his face didn't exist. They tried to run away, but the man's grip on their wrist was too tight. Allo looked up at the man's head again and saw a gaping smile emerge out of the skin. 'It's too late, child.' Tentacles emerged from the man's back and stabbed Allo straight through every part of their body. As Allo felt their life draining away, the last thing they saw and heard was the man lifting them up and his mouth widening across his whole face and these two words: 'Good night.'
The town searched for Allo for several weeks afterwards. Their friends had made it out safely, but Allo had never come back. One day, one of Allo's friends saw something at the edge of the woods. When they went to inspect it, they ran away screaming seconds later. It was Allo's blood-drained, half-eaten corpse.
