Lets make it a goal and aim for 1K, shall we?

I'll probably make a habit to update on weekends so I can fix back the reads on this book, the one on the last chapter decreased DRAMATICALLY

So I'm hoping I have enough time to work on the future chapters and update them..

Now without further ado, may I present to you the seventh chapter!

[7] Interwined

''Say, what is your friend like?'' The seemingly curious brunette questioned as he looked to you with his dashing emerald eyes.

''Well um..''

''Speaking of which, you seem kinda scared of him..'' The other female added suddenly. cutting you off ''Or do you like him?'' She grinned a little.

''W-What no!'' You exclaimed, making the most ridiculous 'wtf' face you have ever made ''He's only a friend, a good friend actually.. He just gets r-really scary when I piss him off.. '' You trailed off, a few scenes of Levi 'torturing' you came in mind.

And it was really, really terrifying

''Well, actually he's really grumpy all the time.''

The conversation then ended quickly. You slightly adjusted the scarf that was around your neck and pulled your jacket closer. It was getting a little chilly at night, probably colder than before. It seemed like winter will come soon enough, since it was nearly November already.

''Winter will come soon, I think..'' You broke the silence, looking up to the sky with a small smile spreaded on your face.

''Really, how do you know?'' Eren asked

''Duh, it's getting colder and colder by the minute..'' You stated, shoving your hands into the pockets of your [f/c] jacket. It was definitely not doing its job by keeping you warm though.

The three of you exchanged small talks and soon enough arrived at your apartment's building. There was a faint light coming from your apartment's window, perhaps your brother or Levi was home... and hopefully it was Hikaru..

You gulped, before taking in a deep breath. ''Well, I think you guys can leave me here now. I'm going up..'' You said, turning to face Eren and Mikasa.

''Are you sure though? Don't you want us to accompany you up there?'' Mikasa questioned, raising an eyebrow.

''I-I'll be fine.. if anything happens I'll scream and jump out the window.. ''

The duo sweat-dropped

''Just call us when you get back..'' Mikasa said, motioning you to bring out your phone. You quickly handed the phone to Mikasa, then she typed in her number on the keypad. When she was finished, she returned it to you and you thanked her.

''I guess I'll be going then.. Thanks for helping me earlier today guys, honestly.'' You thanked them sincerely, a big smile on your lips ''I'll treat you guys to a cup of coffee next time, alright?''

''Sounds good! We'll see you some other time alright?'' Eren gave a thumbs-up and looked to you, which you nodded.

''Well, bye [name]~''

After waving them off, you walked into your apartment's building and was greeted by the friendly security guard. You asked if your brother was home already and he said he wasn't quite sure. Sighing, you thanked him and proceeded to the lift.

You lived on the 9th floor of the building, and it was equipped with a swimming pool and a lounge area. You had only gone to the pool a few times, and the most recent one was two years ago..?

The elevator door opened, revealing the cream-coloured walls with a '9' symbol hanging proudly in front of you. You stepped out, walking towards your apartment door while rummaging your bag for the keys.

Arriving in front of the door, you pressed your ears onto it and listened for any sounds or footsteps inside. It was complete silence though, perhaps the light was just a small lamp you always turn on when you leave the house? Hopefully so..

Inserting the key into the lock, you twisted it and the door creaked open slowly. It gave a small 'eek' sound that was only loud enough for you to hear, fortunately. You looked in and it was complete darkness, the lights in Levi's room was off, luckily..

Closing the door behind you, you switched on the lights and kicked your shoes off, not bothering to place them neatly anyway. You then went into your room and took a nice hot shower, got dressed then laid in your comfy bed.

You rested for awhile, before remembering that you had to call Mikasa to tell you made it back safely. You dialed her number but no one picked up, so you sent a text instead, telling her you were alright and Levi was not home.

But she didn't reply for some reason.

''I should call my brother..''

You typed in your brother's number and called him, which he picked up after a few times of ringing. You told him you were back home, and ate dinner, then asked him when he was coming back. He said that he still had some work to do and will be back probably around 9 or so.

It was only 8 p.m, another hour until he reaches home. Levi, somehow was nowhere to be seen. You called your friend that works there with Levi and he said he already ended his shift an hour ago.

Strange, where was he?

''Probably lost, hmmph..'' Regardless to say, you were still angry at Levi for insulting you like that. You wouldn't forgive him, never in a million years unless he makes it up to you, and it'll probably take a whole lot of effort to do so.

You spaced out in bed for who-knows how long, until the ringing of your doorbell snapped you out of it. Rising up from the bed, you wondered curiously who was it. You already gave Levi a spare key today and Hikaru always forgets to bring his keys.. probably your brother then.

''Coming!'' You yelled as the ringing grew impatient. Not thinking twice about who was out there, you unlocked the door and pulled it open. But yet who stood in front of you was not who you expected...

It was Levi.

Not just 'Levi', but Levi with a really really pissed off face.

Terrified, you slammed the door back and ran for your dear life, sprinting back to your room. Levi swung the door open almost instantly because you didn't lock it, and ran after you with a really dark face.

You ran around the house, hoping he would stop but he didn't. Then you took a turn to your room but running past, or more like under Levi. But you were a little taller than him and he grabbed you by the collar of your shirt instantly, pulling you back.

''Gyah!'' With a brutal force, you were thrown onto the couch, followed by a stinging sensation on your back. You groaned in pain and felt something pinning onto your arms and legs. Opening your eyes, you were now face to face with the Corporal, faces only inches apart from touching.

Your breath hitched, and your heartbeat increased dramatically. W-What was happening?! You screamed in your mind as Levi's charcoal eyes glinted evilly.

You shut your eyes close, not daring to see what will happen next. You then heard a chuckle coming from beside your ear, followed by a familiar voice ''You're really scared huh, [name]?''

You didn't reply

''Oi, brat..'' You felt your cheeks being pinched and snapped your eyes open, whining at the pain on your cheek ''Owww! what the hell Levi!''

''Finally you can speak..''

''What gives! I'm not mute, of course I can speak!'' You retorted, holding onto your bruised cheek with an irritated face.

However, Levi didn't seem so angry now as he was earlier. He showed no signs of anger or anything, just the poker face he has everyday. On the other hand, you were still pretty pissed about what happened earlier this afternoon.

''Move it, I'm going to bed'' You then said, trying to kick away Levi who was pinning your legs down. He only stared at you blankly, not moving at all which made you more furious ''Goddammit remove your legs Levi!'' You mentally screamed, glaring at him.

''No..'' His reply was firm, and he refused to move an inch. You groaned ''What do you want now, haven't you had enough today? Humiliating me in front of a crowd?'' You spat angrily, looking back up to him with your [e/c] eyes.

The male stayed silent, his charcoal eyes still looking at yours.

You looked away, rolling your eyes at him before sighing ''What do you want now, Levi?'' You asked, emphasizing his name. ''If you want to whack me or insult me, make it quick, I've had enough things to deal with today now..'' Your voice trailed off, before feeling something pressing against you and that made your eyes widened.

Levi's body pressed against your face, while his hands were secured around your neck as he pushed in closer to you. You were at the loss of words at this moment, while your mind registered that you were being hugged by Levi, the Levi.

And there you were, being trampled under him as his arms were secured tightly around you. You couldn't really make out what was happening, other than knowing this was a hug, but his intentions were unknown. Your hands slowly made their way to Levi's back, and they pulled you closer into the hug, pushing your face against Levi's well toned chest.

''Sorry..'' After a moment of silence, Levi spoke up. He stroked your hair gently, twirling with the strands ''I-I didn't mean to insult you and humiliate you today, I just got pretty annoyed by something else before that..''

''...''

''[name]?''

'' Yeah..?''

''I'm sorry..''

''...''

''[name]..''

''Just.. stay like this for a moment..''

You pleaded with a shaky voice, somehow. Your whole body started trembling, as a familiar sensation rose up in your chest, creating a warm fuzzy feeling. Tears began forming on your eyes for an unknown reason, you felt really sad and depressed.

Hearing you sniffling, Levi let you stay in his embrace for quite a while. He continued on stroking your [h/c] locks while the silent atmosphere was filled with your soft cries and sniffles. He wasn't as heartless as the fandom described him as, in fact he had a nice side to him.

''It's going to be alright, I'm here.''

Those words sent a fluffy feeling to your chest.

Both of you unknowingly hugged for who-knows-what hours until you finally felt like yourself again. You slowly untangled your arms from Levi's, which he gladly removed his and got back up. He looked to you, a worried expression on his face. You gave him a reassuring nod and got up, wiping the tear streaks off your face.

''I'm fine, I have to cry a little while sometimes..'' You said, forcing a small smile on your lips.

Levi only nodded, his face returning back to his usual stoic expression which you somehow missed rather than his 'affectionate' state.

''I'm only to bed, night..'' With a small wave, Levi walked back to his bedroom, snapping you out of your thoughts. You only mouthed a small ''good night'' before he disappeared into his room.

Walking to yours now, you pushed open the door and immediately crawled onto your bed, not caring about closing the door now. You were mentally and physically stressed out today, and didn't give a damn care about anything else now.

You needed sleep, to clear your mind for at least a few hours or so.

''Everything will be fine in the morning.''

You mouthed to yourself as you fell into deep slumber

Finally, we can see the progression of Levi's likeness to Reader-chan //wipes forehead

Now allow me to bang my head against the wall since I nearly just wrote 2000 words for this chapter.

I apologise if the progression is still a little slow, I will do a timeskip in the future chapters when Levi and Reader-chan's relationship gets stronger.

I realized SnK fanfictions have been dropping a little recently due to the lack of resources now. I personally don't follow up with the manga and don't ask why //lazy as heck lol

For those you may ask, this might be slight A/U since this revolves around reality for now..

But you'll probably be shocked sooner off into the chapters //if ya know what I mean *wiggles eyebrows*

I'd like to give a shout out to StarCrossPhoenix and JenniMusica for keeping me company for the past few weeks. Its been nice talking to you two and also Ia-Aria too >w< All of you guys are my baes xDD
