Chapter 5
"Bruce, um, it's that time of month an I need to go out." I said as I walked towards the door in a black tank and black sweats.
"Which out?" Bruce asked.
"Out out." I said.
"Oh," Bruce said, "then just please be careful, don't get caught." I waved him off.
"Yah, yah. Same ol' thing every month." I said. I reached for the door knob but a hand grasped my wrist. I turned my head to see Bruce with caring eyes.
"Just be careful please." Bruce said.
"Hey, I will, I promise." I said. "Now please let go of my wrist." Bruce let go.
"I'll see you in the morning." Bruce said.
"See ya." I said. I opened the door and down the elevator onto the sidewalk. I can't take my bike. As I ran toward the woods that were in Central Park, (not sure if there are really woods in Central Park but roll with me here,) I felt like I was being watched. I shook off the feeling and ran faster. As I made it safely in the woods my body started taking its true form. My teeth narrowing to a point, getting sharper. My eyes glowing blue. I started running on all fours, my legs taking bowed feature to them, and my hands and feet becoming paws. As soon as my form was complete I let out a howl. I jumped up. I was so happy. Once a month I would go into the woods and let out my true form. I ran around enjoying the limited freedom I got. Then I got that feeling again. Like I was being watched. This time it was stronger. I stopped running and pricked my ears. I heard a shuffle. I opened my mouth and drank in the scents around me. There were someone here, and it was familiar. My eyes widened as I remembered who it was. Next thing I know I'm tackled to the ground. I snapped at whoever it was that tackled me. I writhed around and eventually got loose. As I looked upon the person who had tackled me, my heart rate felt like a NASCAR race, because when I saw who it was, I felt like chihuahua against a Great Dane. The man, no, thing in front of me, was the thing that made my life a living hell. He staggered up supporting himself on a tree.
"So we meet again, now do we Tamika?" The thing said. I snapped at him.
"I'm taking you back to England, and you're going to have to deal with it. Now come along. I don't want this to get ugly." The thing said. He held out his gnarled hand. I took my chance and ran. It had started to rain, making the forest floor wet muddy. I ran and ran. I had to get away from him.
*Bruce's POV*
Thunder clapped. I looked out the window. I knew Tammy wouldn't be able to handle the rain so I got my jacket and went to Central Park looking for her. When I got to the woods there, I heard screaming. My eyes widened.
"Tammy!" I yelled. I knew he had finally found her. I then ran to STARK towers. I knew I would need help on this. I ran inside and into an elevator. It took me to the destroyed pent house.
"Tony! We got trouble!" I said as I ran in.
"Security breach." Tony said. He was standing behind a table full of layouts for STARK towers.
"I don't care about your damn security breach. There's something more important. Tammy is in trouble. The man that made her life a living hell, finally found her. We have to go." I said.
"So we have to go save her?" Tony asked.
"No we're just going to sit around drinking beer." I said sarcastically.
"Cool, I'll go ge-" I cut him off.
"Tony, nows not the time to be literal. Now get your suit, lets go! I'll meet you in the woods of Central Park." I said and I raced out into the elevator hoping it wasn't too late...
*Tammy's POV*
I had shifted back to normal and was running for my life. I was looking for a tree to climb to maybe get away from him. I saw one and hopped up. I wrapped my legs securely around the branch, and flipping my self right side up. The thing came didn't notice the tree and ran face smack into it causing the whole tree to shake. I lost balance an fell to the ground. Right at his feet.
"There you are." He said. I whimpered.
"No need to cry Tamika, just come with me, if you don't, then there will be a reason to cry!" He said and he lifted me up by my throat. I clawed at his gnarled hand.
"Let me go Lucas!" I cried out. He started walking, grasping trees for support because of his bowed legs. Carrying me, by the throat, to my doom. Then something rammed into him, causing Lucas to let me go, and him to ram into the nearest tree. I fell to the ground gasping for air. I heard Lucas grunt and heard the movement of metal.
"Oh my God, Tammy, are you alright?" I heard Bruce's voice ask as he knelt next to me helping me sit up.
"I could've sworn I lost him." I said out of breath.
"What?" Bruce asked.
"Now, I would like to know, who the hell you are, and why you were picking on Tammy." Tony said through his suit.
"Iron Man. I never thought I'd get the pleasure of meeting you." I heard Lucas sneer. I also heard him grunt under getting up from the ground.
"Yah, never knew I would get the pleasure of meeting a guy who creeps on women who walk in the park." Tony said back.
"Oh, I wasn't creeping, I was taking back what was rightfully mine." Lucas retorted.
"Okay, that's it." I whispered. I quickly got up and rammed Lucas into the tree causing it to crack. I grasped him by his neck just like he had done to me.
"Doesn't feel so good now does it? You listen, and you listen good. I am not yours and I never will be." I growled. "Your lucky that this time I don't pound your ass to a pulp. Now you leave me alone, or I'll take your sorry ass and beat it to pieces and feed the remains to a pack of wild dogs!" Lucas was terrified.
"Now get out of my sight." I growled. I let Lucas go, and he ran off with his tail between his legs, literally. I took deep breaths. But I couldn't control it and I punched the nearest tree next to me causing it to make a deep hole. I pulled my hand back. I dislocated my hand this time. I gave it to Bruce and he popped it back into place. It hurt so much that I dropped to my knees and held onto my wrist, rocking.
"So who the hell was that?" Tony asked.
"Lucas Scale..." I answered. I said his name like acid was in my mouth.
"He's the one that made my life living hell."
