Suspicion
I slowly walked up the stairs to my parents front door. My head snaps up from the ground when I hear a loud crash and glass shattering.
I jog up the rest of the way and unlock the door. I clench my jaw when I see the blood all around the room. I quickly close the door and look for my mom.
"God, Dolores. When will you learn?!" I hear my father bellow. I looked down, he's in the basement. I rush down there, knocking my shoulder into a door.
"Father!" I yell, pushing him off of my mom. She seems to be hanging on a thread. My dad stumbles towards me, full of anger but it seems to falter as he sees me.
He grabs my shoulders. "My boy! The only thing your mother succeeded in doing." I stare at my mother. Her blonde hair drenched in her own blood, she wasn't even recognizable. I drop to my knees and try to help her as fast as I can.
I stare at mom as she sleeps. "Your mother tells me you've found a girl. Yet it isn't the one you showed us." Intended but kept cool. "No, it's the same one. Yet I am getting quite bored." I new he was getting suspicious.
He no longer had Kassandra.
He no longer had a play thing.
He no longer had a innocent, naïve girl.
Father hummed a answer and put his hands in his pockets. "Oh? When will we be meeting this, Ellis's family?" I shrugged, still trying to direct him somewhere else.
"I don't know."
