VI

In case you didn't know Crabbe's first name is Vincent and Goyles is Gregory, but I'll still refer to them as Crabbe and Goyle.

Draco's POV

It was late evening and Crabbe and Goyle still hadn't returned from wherever they had disappeared to. Draco lazily gazed at the flickering light coming from the fireplace in front of him, where the hell was Crabbe and Goyle?

As if hearing his thoughts Crabbe and Goyle came bursting through the common room door looking out of breath, it reminded Draco of Harry bursting in though potion, attention seeking git.

Draco stood up and raised his hands so they rested on his hips. "And where have you been?" He questioned while glaring at their huge figures.

"It was that Weasley and Potter!"

Draco's eyebrows rose, "did you say Potter?" Goyle nodded furiously. "Well, go on, what did he do?" Said Draco more eagerly than he intended.

"We saw stupid Potter and Weasley talking about Quidditch practice, so we followed them." Explained Crabbe.

Draco nodded, "yes, yes, go on."

"We secretly watched them play Quidditch from the stand."

"What did they play like?" Draco interrupted.

Crabbe gave a snort, "Bad, Weasley couldn't even save a goal"

Draco laughed, "And Potter?"

"D'know, they finished before Potter did anything."

Goyle nodded. "Then we and Pansy went up to them to, you know tease them a little."

"And guess what Draco, they insulted us, and your father!"

Crabbe and Goyle looked at Draco, expecting him to become furious at this news but Draco hardly cared about his father anymore so he kept his face expressionless.

Disappointed with Draco's reaction Crabbe nervously continued. "We went to get them for it obviously, but they did some tricky little spell to make me dangle upside down and to make Gregory grow hair out his nose and ears."

Goyle looked humiliated but still went on, "Then they turned to Pansy and did something to her, she's still at the hospital wing."

"Why did you idiots take them on? You know Potter's better than you at spells." Said Draco and instantly regretted it.

Crabbe and Goyle shuffled their feet guiltily, "we can just tell Snape, then they will get in trouble."

Draco sniffed, "I doubt it, Potter loving Dumbledore won't let that happen." Really Draco was in a bad mood with Snape and was avoiding him.

"Where's Pansy?" Draco asked, breaking the silence.

"We told you, still in the hospital wing"

"Well when is she getting out?"

"D'know, soon probably," said Crabbe.

Draco sighed and slumped in his armchair, he was angry at everyone, Snape, his Dad, the Dark lord, Crabbe and Goyle, Pansy, the girl shouting too loudly, himself and especially perfect Potter who has never had to do anything in his life and still gets pats on the back.

Why does it seem like Harry just has everything handed to him while he is forced to do thing even the Dark lord can't?

"Er.... Should we go now?" Asked Goyle nervously.

Draco rested his chin in his hands and nodded.

Crabbe and Goyle began to bustle away when Draco called out, "actually go get Pansy."

"I'm right here," came Pansy's voice from the doorway.

Draco noticed her face was rather red and she seemed to have a very faint beard. "What's that on your face?"

Pansy blushed and brought her hands up, "Stupid Potter and his friend, but Madam Pomfay said the hairs will go soon."

"I see"

Pansy who was still attempting to cover her beard with her hands asked, "What did you want me for?"

"We need to stop dating, or whatever it is we are doing," said Draco simply without a hint of sorrow.

Pansy gawped at him, "why because of my bea-hair? It will go in a few days!"

"It's not that. You can hardly expect me to worry about a relationship, with the task I need to perform!"

Draco noticed Pansy's eyes going glassy and started to feel slightly bad but quickly shook it off, he really he didn't like Pansy, he never really did even though they had been dating on-off for years. Lately Draco felt all affection for Pansy vanish, affection for everyone really.

"But-but I can help you with the task, like we have been for weeks, you wouldn't have nearly as much done without me!" She shrieked

Draco just wanted her to shut up. "I can easily complete the task without you, you just got in the way anyway."

Pansy looked like she was going to explode, "You think you're some king now, but don't come crying when you get killed for not completing the task, and you know you won't!"

Draco's insides began to squirm, like they always did when he thought about what would happen when he doesn't kill Dumbledore.

"Sorry," he said because if he said anymore he would most likely throw up.

"Sorry?" Pansy repeated. Draco nodded and Pansy gave a furious cry and stormed out the common room.

It was only then that he realised all the eyes in the common room were rested on him. "What are you all looking at?" He snapped.

Everyone gradually resumed their activities and Draco made his way up to the dormitories followed by Crabbe and Goyle.

****

Draco was beyond tired the next day, he had stayed up until 5am working on the cabinet and it felt like he had barely closed his eyes before he was woken by the sound of Crabbe eating some sweets.

A few minutes later they made their way to the grand hall for breakfast. Draco noticed Harry and his friends laughing loudly near a large painting in the corridors and he quickly filled with hate. He didn't know why he was so furious, he just hated seeing people so content when his life was falling apart.

"Oi, Potter! I want a word with you!"
