(This takes place after the ending of Little Nightmares 2.)

He should've left long ago.

The thoughts repeats inside Mono's head over and over and over again. He lays there next to Six.

She sleeps peacefully under the night sky.

Groaning silently, the boy sits up. He keeps having the feeling of regret. Saving Six from the signal tower. He's supposed to feel happy.

Not under a suffocation spell.

Six has him in her clutches. He kills, he provides, he protects Six. And in return, she never leaves.

One had to wonder? Why hasn't he left yet?

As he looks at Six, he feels the same fear. The same anger. They're both supposed to be sleeping under a starry field.

Mono stifles a laugh.

Romantic, right?

His brown coat covers the shivering wreck of a body he's trapped in. Mono wants to escape. Wants death.

Six can't even give him that.

They're travelling again.

On the road, things packed. The urge to survive overtaking any desires sane Mono wouldn't made.

Instead, he's holding down a child to watch Six eat.

It's not the first nor last it'd happened.

The electric feeling of dissociation. Everything disconnected, just him and Six. Everything can't hunt them in these moments.

A spark ignites. Mono's gutted temporarily makes it way deep down, only to possess him a minute later. The child's screams die down, Six stands.

Mono still crouches, looking at the extended hand.

In regret, he takes it.

Six often likes the kind of physical contact needed.

A little hand holding, maybe a hug, sometimes a hand to the shoulder. Mono feels able to even breathe whenever they separate.

For the first time of forever, he comes across another child. It's not one he expects to see.

It's a boy this time.

Dressed in a brown top, sleeves ripped to the wrists. Light brown pants, even a scar next then his ankle.

And barefoot like the rest.

The child's hair black. Dark, electric blue orbs stared into Mono's soulless black ones. They both have the same message.

Get outta here.

The depression slowly consuming Mono motivates his run. He hears the possessive roar. Six finds the two within their territory.

The other child grabs Mono's hand to run.

Mono begrudgingly agrees. His mind is story berates his stupid decision. He could never escape from Six.

She's toxic.

Somehow drawing in the boy over and over and over again. He's had enough, Mono's no longer submissive. He's now his own man.

Following the boy, Mono ran. Determination filling his veins. He's focused on the course ahead. The the edge of the alley. It's where they'd be safe-

SCREECH.

The other child's feet skid to a halt. Mono realises where he's lead them. To a dead end alley.

"I'm so sorry."

Mono mutters under his breath. He steps to the side, allowing Six to walk into a view. Her teeth are bloody, tongue licking along the edge of lips.

She's hungry and will feast.

She pounces on the child, screaming giving itself away. Mono closed his eyes to block out the view.

He meant the last statement.

But he doesn't want to die. It's killed or be killed.

He can't be killed by Six. Said girl stands from her prey, offering a meal to the one she trusted.

Mono shakes his head politely.

Shrugging, she gouges the rest of the meat down. Six eats like it's a fancy all you can eat buffet. Perhaps to her, it is.

It's not to Mono, he's so starved.

Glancing down to the child, Mono trusts himself not to eat. Six turns out with another smile of thankfulness. It makes Mono disgustingly happy.

He's trapped in a relationship not meant to be.
