Disconnected.
Disclaimer: I do not own Little Nightmares. I also do not own the Song.
(This is a Little nightmares (video games) oneshot.)
(Its Mono-centric)
(Sorry if the characters seem OOC.)
(This takes place after the ending of Little Nightmares 2.)

The flesh. It doesn't seem to hurt Mono and Six. The duo run, it seems intent on their immediate capture.
The girl in the yellow raincoat raced ahead.
"Hey!"
Proper speech has never been spoken between the two. The one word bringing them together. One thing holding so much meaning.
But Six doesn't stop. She keeps sprinting, wanting to get away. Eventually, they come to a close. An exit.
Mono noticed her hesitation as he runs across the beam. As if she isn't going to extend her hand as she has before. He braces himself for death.
The black, bottomless death awaits him.
"Hey.."
Six's voice brings him back. Soft as always, the time forces him to look up into the eyes barely visible to the naked eye. But her cold gaze sticks.
The look is neutral, as if debating. One hand holds the key to his life continuing. The other option is to give their friendship up.
He sees the rage build up, frustration. A growl, but from a stomach. Then she decides.
Six lets go.
"Hey!"
Six gazed coldly as he fell, a grin spreads. As if she likes his demise. Mono closes his eyes, hearing the faint buzz of the once TVs under his command.
Zzzzzzzz...........
The soft buzzing comforts Mono, at least he is accompanied. Not totally alone as he falls to his inevitable doom. That brung a kind of peace.
But his mind will always be haunted by a mourning last memory. A tear leaks out of the eye it belongs to.
There is no more to cry over. Mono learns his fare is sealed. He finally remembers.
Always alone.
He cries as he lands to death.
***
He sits in the chair.
Mono still sits on this damnable chair.
How many moments pass? Two, three, four? How many days? Months? Years?
His sanity dwindles.
Mono notices he's no longer small. He's not exactly tall, but he isn't tiny. More like the size of a twelve year old.
It seems he isn't ten anymore.
(A/N: I have no clue how old mono is.)
Mono looks, flesh surrounds the boy. Wiggling, giggling, squishing together. A combined entity.
One.
It wants Mono.
It's possessive, never letting go. Lulling his mind with signals, those soothing signals. He's connected.
He knows.
The truth is no longer denied.
Mono blinks back tears, pure agony is all he feels now. He's growing up extremely fast. The signal tower forcing his age.
He sobs. Loudly, covering his mouth.
Why did Six betray him?
This chair, flesh is all he has. No other option.
At least none momentarily.
Mono wants nothing.
Numb, he stares. Vision fading in and out.
Babum, babum, babum-
Heart rate increasing.
Babum, babum-
Slight faster. He cries, breaths heaving.
Babum, babum, babum, babum, babum-
Mono shrieks, letting out pure rage agony.
"WHY?!"
His heart pounds, adrenaline increasing. God, he feels alive. Taking off, free, living without a care-
BZZZZZZZzzzzzZZZzzzzZZZ...
The signal kicks in on command.
Ba, Bum, ba,bum....
The heartbreak slows. Mono sits, head in hands.
His eyes drops halfway, thoughts dimming.
Maybe it's better to stay here...
Mono sleeps.
***
Mono wakes.
Something protects Mono. A faint buzzing luring him back to that blissful sleep.
His spirit wouldn't suffer any longer.
It's such a sweet deal. No hurt, no agony, pain.
No memories.
God, Mono almost takes it. The sweet, sweet deal.
It's so alluring.
Mono fades, the tower would take over his mind and body. But he would be at peace.
Mono wants this.
Don't.
Mono yawns, looking up sleepily. He notices.
The chair isn't where he sits.
He's in Thin Man's arms.
The tower shrieks. Mono is theirs. Their signal source. Without him, power is almost fatally lost.
Mono laughs in satisfaction.
The fates are cruel, but he is taken.
Mono allows Thin Man as an ally.
He's not the enemy.
At least not now.
***
Thin Man keeps him safe.
Thin Man stares. Mono stares.
Both stares are empty stares.
They are the same, they are one.
Thin Man tells him everything
The timeline, this cycle, she betrays you, she always betrays you. Join me, become one. We will stop her journey.
Mono bends, hands in knees. He grins, teeth gleaming. Seemingly years of past abuse, hatred, betrayal gleam in his eyes.
He's had enough of his hateful world.
He glances up. Then smiles. It's genuine.
Make her pay.
Babum, babum, babum, babum.
Mono's heart races, feeling alive. The single tower's buzzing signals no longer infects his world.
The outside is no longer safe.
Six won't know who the next victim can be.
Mono's looks down his hand. He simply aims.
BzzzzzzZZZZZZzzzzzzzZZZzz..
BzzzzTzzzzzTTzzzz...
Things appear, the thing's fuelling Thin Man.
His alter ego.
Himself.
Glitched remains.
Mono's now no longer afraid. His power serve him.
He is in control.
***
Mono learns mastery.
Thin Man spends days teaching the child to aim.
Capture children. To feed.
Turn on TVs. Way of teleportation.
In a way, Thin Man is a considered mentor.
Mono sits in the dank room, smelling bad. He can't care less. He will leave in time.
Child.
Thin Man floats over. Mono sees the hidden smile without needing to see. It's himself. Their emotions connect, tether. Mono is smiling as well.
Crunch.
He tilts his head, surprise and confusion around his face. It's familiar, like before rescuing Six-
Mono scowls-
BANG!
A tv screen breaks.
The yellow raincoat girl isn't even worth a name.
Six is a monster. Not Mono's friend.
Mono's friendless.
He laughs coldly, laughter echoing around the city.
The citizens laugh along with him. Together, it sends a shiver up Mono's spine. God, the power is amazing.
Thin Man sends a scowl.
Mono's rolled his eyes. He steps.
What is this?
A gift.
It's placed within his hands. Mono strokes the given object. Then his eyes light up in recognition.
Paper bag.
Hide until it's fine. Pretend until there is no need.
Mono knows this last phrase.
Deceive.
Mono needs to lie.
***
It's months after, Mono is in control.
Do it again.
Mono waves his hand in a random direction.
ZzzzzzZZZZZzzzzzzzZZZzz...
Static obeys, going in the way they want.
They both look the same when they smile.
Mono is happy. Thin Man's smile remains.
Good child, that is great.
Thin Man's compliments come rarely. Mono's heart warms. Oh, they also changed location in the last months.
Now they're comfortable at a house.
Mono sits in a comfy bed.
Thank you!
He cheers, hands clapping. His childish tendencies still arise occasionally, he suddenly stops.
Mono hides his face, grumbling in embarrassment.
Thin Man chuckles gently.
Child-
Mono secretly hates that nickname. Thought he doesn't tell. Thin Man is still him.
So that has to come from somewhere.
Your powers have come so far.
Thin Man ruffles his hair.
Now, it's time for our vengeance. To give us peace.
Mono sighs.
"To make her pay."
Thin Man extends his hands, belong slightly. He removes the obscured vision. Mono's gasps.
Versions of himself.
Scarred, emotionally dead.
One stands without an arm. A fall forced him to amputate it. One stands without an eye, a rock stuck forcing am removal.
There are five.
Mono's eyes widens. He realises.
Six.
Six timelines.
It's a cycle repeated so many times.
"I'm so sorry."
One smiles, he seems normal. Then shows his eyes.
They're soulless. White pricks.
This Mono's possessed.
"Make her pay."
His voice is deep. Older, wiser. He's seem more than others. He's the oldest. Probably a teenager.
Mono nods.
"I will."
Thin Man gestures to Mono.
Become one.
They all walk over. Every Mono smiles, all eyes glowing with static. Some black, some blue.
But they all flow. Like a distorted Tv.
Trust us.
Mono is afraid, hesitant. One version is crying.
That's when he softens. He nods slowly.
Okay.
And they do.
ZzzZZZzZzZZZZZZzzzzzZZzzz...
The static swirls, these Mono's disappear. Mono clutched himself, stomach churning.
Thin Man swirls in his vision.
Mono faints on the bed. He hears a voice as he faints. All versions speak to their considered saviour.
tHaNk yOu, cHiLd.
All are grateful.
Mono sleeps peacefully.
