I decide to take the shoelace. Now what? I look around till my eyes land on the water pipe that I had taken water from. That could work! I walk over to it and loop the shoelace around it, holding both ends in my hands. I place one foot against the meatal, feeling the freezing cold bitting into my bare feet. I pull against both side of the string before moving my other foot. I'm not falling!

Inch by inch, I carefully shimmy my way up the pole. I pull myself up to the roof, and heavily pant. Luckily, I manage to catch my breath pretty quickly. From here, I over look the street. I can see the....... thing, had gotten closer. I need to hurry! I move over to the power line running between this house and the next, before looping the shoelace around it. I then tie both ends around my waste before quickly jumping off the building.

The shoelace holds, and I dangle from the wire. Since I'm not touching the ground, it won't shock me. I reach up and grab the wire. I pull myself forwards and over the road far below. Falling from up here would kill me. I look down to see that the thing is right below me. It's bulging and wrinkled skin ripples as it waddles down the road. I quickly look away and quicken my pace.

I make it to the next roof and give myself a chance to rest. I then repeat my actions to get to the next roof. This one has a lot more of them around. I need to hurry. Once I'm safely across, I shimmy down the pipe and drop into the ally. My shoelace is frayed and close to breaking, so I abandon it before slipping behind a box.
