Mono called her later that week, saying he had set her up an appointment to come for a check up. Six didn't make a big deal of it, the two tried to spend more time with her recently, maybe trying to at least get on good terms with her.

Despite it, Six couldn't allow herself to get close to them. She told Veronica she didn't know who the father was, if she found out she started to get close to the two possible candidates, Six could only imagine what would happen.

Not just to her though, but to the life growing inside her.

She made it there shortly after she got off work. The nurse signed her in, and was called back fairly quickly.

Mono came in rather quickly as well, maybe a short ten minutes as the normal checking from the nurse (the blood pressure check, temperature check, and all that lovely stuff).

"Ms. Little," Mono greeted, dressed in a lab coat similar to one that Seven wore before.

"Mono, you can just say my name," Six said bluntly. The doctor shook his head, putting his clipboard on the counter as he sat down on the spinney chair.

"We're talking business, no time for informality," he answered, sliding over to her in the chair.

"Why did you want me here?" Six asked, raising a brow at the doctor.

Mono was looking at the papers he was given, before glancing up to her, ignoring her question, replying with one of his own.

"You been taking your vitamins?"

"Faithfully,"

Mono nearly snorted in laughter, glancing back to her with a shit eating grin. "Faithfully my ass. Explain why the chart says differently?"

Six glared at him, balling her fist and gripping the examination table under her. "Excuse me?"

"Six, there is no excuse for not taking your vitamins. There's reasons we give them to expecting mothers," Mono said back, ducking down to avoid a flying jar of tongue depressiors.

He went to comment, before letting out a strangled cry as his back was slammed into the wall of the room. Six gripped his throat, dangerously close to closing his windpipe.

"Look here you piece of shit, I wouldn't be here if you or your friend keep your dicks in your jeans. If you're gonna whine and insult me for not taking medication for a baby I don't even want, I'll make you wish you-"

Mono gripped her arm, flipping and slamming her against the wall. Six let out a pain filled cry, before feeling Mono grip the shoulder of her hoodie and shirt and rip it down slightly.

The two stayed in absolute silence, Six only hearing her heart beat loudly in her ear as she felt Mono's good eye stare down at her. She gritted her teeth, already knowing what he was looking at.

The large bruise on her shoulder from where Veronica had yet another outburst when she came home later then expected. It was slowly changing, the ugly yellow color slowly ringing the black and blue circle.

Her breath hitched, the uncomfortable phantom feeling of the vase that was thrown as her bashing and splittering into her shoulder.

Mono let go of her, looking over to the door.

"You can come in now, Sev," Mono ordered, stepping back from the waitress.

Six went to snap at him, before seeing Seven sheepishly enter the room. His dark blue eyes had an uncomfortable look in them as he stiffly walked in, closing the door behind him.

"Will someone tell me what the hell is happening?" Six asked, fed up with the two doctors. Mono gave a small sigh, once again ignoring her.

"You were right, big mark on her shoulder with a few small scars around it," he said, looking to his colleague.

Seven shifted slightly, obviously nervous about the whole thing. "We're so sorry, Six, but the other day, I-I notice a small bruise on the back of your neck and I remember what you said about your mother not loving you... I asked Mono to set up an appointment with you so we could see. I didn't know he was going to do all this though, which I'm so so so sorry about!"

The waitress stayed silent for a moment, staring at the pair. They planned this?

"Why...?"

"What?"

"Why? Why did you planned this?"

Mono took the lead, cutting off Seven before he could speak. "Cause we worry about you. Simple as that."

Six clenched her fist. "But, why? It makes no sense why you two are even trying to get close to me. It's not like I'm gonna keep it anyways- which reminds me- Seven, I was adoption papers at the ready, unless you want it I'm not keeping it."

"Why are you acting like this?" Seven asked suddenly, much to her annoyance.

"Cause I don't want it. I'm already disliked for even being like this. Two and Three have been treating me different, Mama practically disowns me, Milo is dead," her voice shook, tears brimming her eyes, "every horrible thing that's happened to me so far is because of this stupid thing inside me! I don't want it anywhere near me, and if you want to keep it, fine!"

Before she could storm out of the room, Seven grabbed her sleeve. "Six-"

"Let go of me, Seven,"

"Six, please, just listen to me-"

"I said let go-!"

Six stopped as she was suddenly caught in a hug by the other. Seven held her close to him, Mono silently joining the two. The waitress went to snap at them again, but nothing came from her quivering lips.

The tears from before came streaming down, a lump coming to her throat as she bunched their shirts in her hands. She felt her legs shake slightly, emotions over taking her.

"If I could take every pain in the last six months, I would. I'm so sorry for everything," Seven muttered.

Six shut her eyes, Mono running a hand in her hair. "You got a good head on your shoulder, and a sharp tongue to keep you safe. If the baby ever gets that, they're gonna be a troublemaker I feel like..."

Six didn't comment, but couldn't stop the small, weak chuckle. "Y-yeah..."

It went silent afterwards, Six lightly sobbing as the three shared an embrace. The piled up emotions finally spilled, every worry finally left her sore shoulders.

They would be there for her, during her good and bad moments.

The want to learn of who did it seemed to grow less important, realization seeping in that they would be there no matter what replacing it.

Dear Baby,

There are always going to be hardships in life, no matter what it is, the world will show her ugly side. Whether it be a bad day at school, or broken heart, there are people out for you to lean and help balance on.

They may seem the most unlikely-est pairs or the most obvious; but you always matter to at least someone in your life. And if anything happens, you matter to me.

You matter to us. Me, your fathers, your aunt Three and aunt Two, you will matter to us all.

With love,
Your mother

Six placed the pen down and closed the small journal Two had given her. The cover was black, with a pair silver feathered wings, small stars scattered around it.

Two had made it herself, or the cover's painting that is. Baby Journal was written in cursive at the top, the beautifully painted words in gold.

She placed the book on her night stand, turning the lamp off next to it. With a click, the light went off, the room in a comforting darkness.

She laid down, taking a deep breath, slowly drifting asleep with a lighter mind and heart.
