Beep beep. Beep beep. Beep beep.

"Stupid alarm! Can't you just let me sleep? I don't wanna wake up today."

"Honey! Come down here I have a letter for you!" I hear my mom call. Oh fun. One of the days my mom was actually home.

I groggily get up from bed and walk downstairs, my long brown hair being a mess behind me. A strand or two was in front of my blue eyes.

"Good morning sweetie." My Mom says with a smile.

"Good morning Mom." I smile and hug her tightly.

"Hey you can't hide your pretty face behind your hair." She says moving the strands and tucking them behind my ear.

I giggle. "Sure I can. You can't make me not do that."

She laughs. "I guess not. Anyway, I called you down here for something."

I nod happily. "It was a letter or something wasn't it?"

My mom nods and heads into the kitchen. I walk into the living room and take a seat on the couch. I was sitting there for maybe 5 minutes before my mom walked in. She hands me the letter slowly and I open it.

I take it out of the envelope and start reading. 'Dear Natalie. I heard you adore Pokémon. I also heard you wish to travel with one. So come today to the center of Vaniville Town at 8:30 this morning and I have a surprise for you. From, Professor Sycamore.'

I look at it with wide eyes. It's from Professor Sycamore! The Pokémon Professor! If I was guessing correct then I'd love the surprise I'd get! I look at the time and it was 8:00. Thirty minutes until I was supposed to meet with him. This could be the chance of a lifetime!!

I get up from the couch quickly dropping the letter on the couch and run upstairs quicker then I ever have. "Honey what are you in a rush for?! Oh." I hear her shout I quickly change out of my pajamas and get into my clothes.

I had put on a white T-shirt with a teal collar, and a ruffled part at the bottom of it. I wore a teal jacket, opened in the front, and with sleeves rolled up past my elbows. I had black pants that reached just below her knee, and was wearing teal shoes covering my ankles

I didn't do much to my wavy Brown hair. Some strands of my hair were clipped behind my head, with the rest having nothing done, and falling down my back, with some of it, in front of each of my shoulders.

After I finished I ran downstairs. I looked at the time and saw I had 5 minutes to get to the center of town. "Bye Mom!" I shout and run out the door, excited to get my surprise. "Bye sweetie!" I hear Mom shout.

I run to the center of town and look at my watch to see it's 8:30. I sigh happily and look around to see someone in a lab coat. I approach him and he turns with a smile.

"Your Natalie. Am I correct?" He says happily.

"Um yes that would be me! You wouldn't happen to be Professor Sycamore would you?" I ask tilting my head slightly.

"That's me. You've come for your surprise haven't you?" He asks and I smile brightly and nod my head a bunch of times. "Okay calm down. Here they come." He says and throws three Pokeballs revealing three Pokémon. The fire Pokémon Fennekin, the water Pokémon Froakie, and the grass Pokémon Chespin. "Go ahead. Take your pick."

I stare in awe before I squeal happily. I run up to the three who stare at me happily. I stare at the 3 Pokémon for a little while. Maybe about 15 minutes until I lift my head. "Professor I know which one I want!"

He nods. "Well which one will you choose to be your partner for life?" He asks smiling. The three Pokémon cry in unison hoping to be chosen

I was right. This was the chance of a lifetime. I would finally get a Pokémon of my own. I would finally be able to go on a journey! Maybe I could find my missing friends as well!! "Professor I would like..." I pointed at one of them smiling.
