Chapter 16

-Monday, 10:36-

-Victory's POV-

Tonight was an intresting night, I got a match at Survivor Series with AJ, I got a stalker behind me for the next month, Kane has probation as well, and Dani stabbed me in the back by not telling me she was the newest Diva in the WWE. Lots of ups and downs, but I still had a smile on my face. I couldn't wait to beat AJ's ass in three weeks.

John was worried that I didn't know what I was getting myself into, but I didn't care, I had a chance to make my offical debut on a Pay-Per-View stage. That was epic. I haven't heard from Dani or Randy since the match and I wasn't planning on it, they stabbed me and left me in the dark. John was hanging around me more for some reason.

I packed my bag as I watched John deal with his storyline as the finish off for the show. Something about Punk, I didn't realize he came back after the beating Kane and I gave him with the chairs. There was a knock at my door and I went to answer it. Mr.McMohn. "Hello, sir." I moved out of the way to invite him in. He walked past me and looked around. I'm so glad I just now decided to clean up, this place was a mess earlier, "What are you doing here?"

"I just wanted to talk to you about your performance tonight." I gulped that could mean a range of things, good and bad.

"Please, explain." I sat on the couch and he sat as well.

"What you did with Cane stick, what was that?"

I bit my lip and started talking quickly, "I'm sorry ,sir. I just got mad, but I didn't want to violate my probation by physically harming AJ. So I went to the next best thing. I'll pay for the stick."

"And walking out on your opponent?"

"Sir, I was just so mad, you wouldn't want to watch me fight at that moment. I didn't mean to mess anything up, I just couldn't do it without putting someone in the hospital."

"And Survivor Series? You think you're up for it?"

"Honestly, sir, I don't, but I saw an opportunity and I took it. I wasn't thinking much and I said everything off the top of my mind."

"You wanna know what I think?" I cringed, I really didn't want to, but there was no avoiding it, "I like your way of thinking, you're very useful in making matches yourself. Rookie vs. Champion. I like it. I like it a lot." I smiled, I got approval of The Chairman, "But, you have to watch your temper. We can't have that every night. We need to see you in a real match." He got up and started heading for the door, "Oh, and Victory," I looked up, he wasn't done? "If you lose at Survivor Series, your ass is on the line." And he walked out.

Just what I needed to hear, what perfect timing. I laid back on the couch and turned my attention back to the show. John and Punk were in the ring together and they were bickering over the WWE Championship, John was after the highest championship in his class, I was doing the same for mine. They were leaning their foreheads on one another and the show went off.

I didn't know how much longer John would be there, but either way, I had a minute before we left. I turned to Pedro, he's been quiet for the past hour or two, he was still staring at me, but with disbelieve in his eyes, "What?" I asked him.

"I've watched you all night and I'm shocked." He explained.

"By what?" I asked as I busyed myself with useless tasks like picking up things and put them back in their original spots or just putting my stuff by the door about to leave.

"At the beginning of the night, you were extremely pissed, now your as happy as sunshine. It's like your bipolar or something."

"Or," I said with sarcasm, "I've finally been able to calm down."

"I know, but I've been watching you for a good while now, you seem odd from the others."

"Really?" I said with high sarcasm, "Ya know, I'd love you if you'd stop talking."

"Sorry."

-Randy's POV-

Things are complete choas. Dani and Victory seem like enimeies now, Victory's gonna hurt herself at Survivor Series, and Dani's wallowing in despair. I left Dani alone in my dressing room to give her some space and I was waiting on John in the gorilla station. The show went off 10 minutes ago and he was still out there. He finally came to the back and we started walking back to the locker rooms.

"Hey, Randy." I turned my head to him, but kept walking, "Victory and I are gonna stay the night at a hotel. You mind if we leave you and Dani by yourselves?"

Wow, like he read my mind, "No, actually in fact, me and Dani were to stay the night in a hotel as well." I saw him make a funny face.

"What's going on between you two?" Not this again.

"Nothing is going on, how many times do I have to tell you?" I was getting easily annoyed by the constant question.

"Well you don't act like it. You're spending more time with Dani than Victory is and it's drifted them apart, Randy."

"So, you're saying, this is my fault?"I stopped in front of him. Yes, I was getting kinda hostile, but I could be much worst than this.

"I'm not saying it's your fault, but you do play a big factor in this."

"And what about Victory? She's the one hanging out with Kane. Are you sure she's not the one screwing up her own life?"

"She thinks what she's doing is right. It's just like you and Evolution." Ok, now he made a point, but we never screwed with anybody's head just to make them join us, "So, where are you and Dani sleeping tonight?" He changed the subject just as easily as that. I was getting mad anyway.

"We're going to a hotel. We're sleeping in the same room if you like it or not." I walked away without giving John a chance to stop me, but I still heard his voice down the hall.

"Don't do anything stupid." I rolled my eyes, he had no reason to care what I do. I walked through my  door and I saw Dani sitting on my couch with her face on her hands. She looked up and her face was red and puffy and wet. I suddenly felt sympathetic for her. She's the only person I know that can make my mood change in a matter of seconds.

I went over to sit next to her and I hugged her. I felt so sympathetic, I didn't even think I could feel for someone this much. I heard her sniffle and wipe her face. I put my chin on her head since she was the perfect hieght, I could smell her strawberry hair and her skin felt like silk almost. I thought this was the perfect time to break the silence, "Dani, you wanna go?" I asked her.

"Yeah," She pulled away and wiped her face one more time, "I'm sick of crying." I looked at her as she went to pick up her bag by the door. She was such a woman, one that didn't deserve to be sad or cry. I didn't want her to be sad anymore, I wanted her to be happy. I wanted to make her happy, "You coming?" I came back with a start. I didn't realize I was staring or that she filled my thoughts.

I cleared my throat and stood up to grab my own bag, "Yeah, I'm coming."

We walked down the hall without any small talk, I looked over at her a couple of times and I think she looked at me too, but that was it. We were silent. We finally reached the door to outside. It was cold and chilling. I saw Dani shiver out of the corner of my eye. I decided to be nice considering all she's been through, "You want my jacket?"

She shook her head, "Nah, let's just get in a taxi and head to the hotel." I quickly nodded and we made our way to the nearest busy road. That wasn't hard and we got in a taxi in no time. The taxi sped off and I looked out the window. Dani still didn't say anything except to the driver. We must have been speeding because we reached the hotel in no time, and the entire time, Dani was on my mind.

I couldn't keep doing this, I still have a job to focus on. Every time I think about a girl like this, I'm always off my game. I can't keep doing this. Well, maybe. We scurried in the hotel and warmed up instantly. This place was almost fancy. There was a chandler hanging from the ceiling, there was a lounge with people in it, and the front desk was made of imported wood, I don't know why I know that.

We walked up to the front desk and I greeted the man, "Good evening ,sir." He said to me.

I grinned back, "Hello. One room."

The man smirked, "Are you two a couple?" I heard Dani lightly gasp behind me as I tensed my muscles. The man's smirk died a little, but I cleared my throat and stopped him from getting the wrong idea,.

"No, we're not." I looked down at my hands. Maybe we should be a couple.

"I'm terribly sorry, sir."

"No, it's alright." I wanted to drop the subject all together, but he wouldn't shut up.

"No it's not alright, please. Let me cut your bill in half just for that."

Well that ended well, "Can you just please get us the room?"

"Of course." He typed something in the computer and started the regular routine, "Name of register??"

"Randal Keith Orton."

"Age?"

"33."

"And the lady's name?"

Dani walked up next to me and spoke for herself, "Daniella Grace Rosy." I like her name, they fit together well.

"Age?"

"21."

"Ok, all set." He grabbed a piece of paper and handed it to me, "Here you go, sir. Just sign here and you'll be all set." I quickly signed the piece of paper and he turned around to grab a room key. I pushed the paper slightly to the side and he handed me the key, "Have a nice stay."

I nodded and turned towards Dani, "Ready to go?"

She had an off look in her eye, but she came back once I spoke, "Yeah." We started walking towards the elevator when three girls, one about 16, one 10, and one a mother. The youngest girl looked up at me with amazment. The middle was kinda drolling at me and the mother was just a smiling away.

"Are you Randy Orton?" The youngest one asked. She had a squeaky voice, it only made me chuckle.

"Why yes I am. Anything I can help you with?" I smiled.

The mother put her hands on the back of both girls, "My daughters would just like an autograph. We just came from the show."

I grabbed the pieces of paper the girls were shoving at me and quickly signed them. "Thank you." The youngest said as I handed her back her paper. She looked over at Dani with a questionable look, "Mommy, look, it's that new Diva." I looked over at Dani and she was shocked at the child's statement. The girl went over to Dani and shoved the paper at her this time, "Can I have your autograph?"

Anyone could tell Dani was shocked, she stuttered and dropped her bag and grabbed the paper, "Sure, kid." She quickly signed it and handed it back to her.

"Thank you." The girl went back to her mom, "Look, Mommy, I got Dani's autograph."

The older girl slid over to Dani and asked the same thing, "You mind if I have one too?" She asked shyly.

Dani chuckled and signed the paper as well, "Of course I don't mind." Dani smiled at her and she shyly went back over to her mother.

They gave us one last thanks before they walked away, "Thank you very much. We plan to see you on TV again." We waved and entered the elevator.

Dani had a huge grin on her face, "How's it feel giving out your first autograph?" I asked her.

"They know my name." She simply said, "On the first night." She was completely amazed.

"Yep," I was glad I could see a smile on that face instead of sorrow, I got to stop thinking like this, I need to keep focus.

"How was it like when someone first asked you?" She asked me.

I thought about it, It was hard to remember the feeling, but I do remember some of it, "It was exciting. A good memory." The elevator stop and we stepped onto our floor. I looked at the number again, 106. 99, 100, 103. I had no idea why it started it at 99, but finding 106 wasn't that difficult. I unlocked the door and stepped in.

It was small, but comfortable small. A 40in on the wall, two queen size beds, and a small kitchen. I don't see that often, a kitchen in a hotel room. Dani went to the bed closest to the door and dropped dead flat. I guess she picked her bed. I went to the farthest bed and turned on the light on the nightstand. I took off my shoes and placed them next to the window. I put my bag next to the nightstand next to the bed and rubbed my face.

Dani was just looking up at the ceiling, eyes open and all. I couldn't tell if she was that tired or dead, "Ya hungry?" I asked.

"I'm more sleepy than hungry."

I chuckled, "Welcome to the business, kid." I laid down myself and turned off the light. I knew I was hungry, but just like Dani, I was beat.

-8:29AM-

I streched, the first thing I did before I even opened my eyes. I was still in my clothes from last night and I felt the sweat as another layer of my skin. I needed a shower. Now. I looked for my bag and grabbed a fresh pair of clothes. Dani was still asleep ,so I went into my sneaky mode. The floor was flat carpet so it wasn't that difficult. I turned into the bathroom and turned on the bright, painful light. I thought the sun was bright.

It took a minute to get my eyes adjusted, but once it did, I turned the shower on. I turned it as hot as it could, just to relax my muscles. I could smell the heated water and see the steam rise from the water. I quickly jumped in.

I took about 30 minutes ,but I needed it. After the night I've had. I put on a plain black shirt and a pair a jeans before I went out the door. I was expecting to see Dani up by now, but she was still asleep. I chuckled, this is only her first night as a Diva and she's still getting the lid. I heard my phone go off, but I had no idea where it was. I followed the constant vibrating to my previous pants. They were in a bundle and I had a difficult time just find one pocket. Of course it had to be the wrong one, I checked in another pocket, found it.

The vibrating stopped and now it just said missed call. It was John who called me, why am I not surprised? I didn't want to call him back much, I didn't even feel like talking to anyone for that matter. I had a couple texts from friends and family, and I just looked at them. I slipped my phone in my pocket and went to grab my computer from my duffle bag.

My computer whirrled as it came to life, I typed in my password and everything started to load up. Things were quiet around here, the light shined almost everywhere, a couple of steps went by here and there, but besides that, complete calmness.

"Randy?" A weak, dry voice erupted the silence. I smiled, she was finally up.

"Morning," She looked over at me and she was tired from head to toe.

"What time is it?" She asked. I looked at my watch I never took off.

"9:07."

"Only 9? That's nothing."

I typed in my password for my email and felt my stomach rumble, "You hungry?" I asked for the second time in less than 12 hours.

"Yeah, where can we get breakfast?"

I chuckled, "Wanna go to Waffle House?"

"Yay, Waffles!" She jumped off the bed and went into the bathroom. I just laughed. I took a random chance, I Waffle House hadn't had a lot of good reviews with critics, but it's a good go to breakfast joint. I had to admit, I haven't been there a while myself.
