The whole change of power crazy has blown over and I'm not actively being hunting to be beat up. Which is nice that I don't have to uncomfortably have my ears and tails hidden.

I'm chilling in my usual spot in the library. There's a little hidden staircase that leads to a good vantage point of the entire room.

"Hey (y/n)" I hear my best friends come into our spot.

"Hey Char, Ever!" I smile at the twins who I've known for forever.

"Sorry we totally ditched you. Didn't want to get beat up anymore than usual." Everest lounges on the couch we snuck in here.

"Still letting him use you? Ever you are worth more than some stupid guys taking advantage of you." I pat his back.

"Hey! And you didn't use Luka for power and protection?" Everest snaps back.

"Ev there's a difference...." Charlie sighs massing her knee.

"Man I'm gonna go. You two are loser." I give them each our secret handshake and make my way out... only to have the worst timing ever.

"Look! It's the ex princess!" That freak calls out to me. I try to make it away but he has some others drag me to him.

"Oh gosh you smell like freaking... disgusting..." I gag.

"You don't say that to me mutt." He pulls me down with my harness and smirks in my face.

"You think I'm a mutt? Goodness you really are so stupid." I laugh hysterically.

"I'm going to extend this offer once more, be mine or you'll pay." His smirk grows. I look around and see that really nice but shy guy sitting close reading a book.

"You're asking me to date you infront of my boyfriend?" I fake shock. Please don't ruin this dude...
