[11] Confessions✺
"I'm so tired," I moan, rolling over into a fetal position.
"Do you have to keep reminding me?" Luke asks, impatiently.
"Yes," I drag out the word in agony.
"Then go to sleep, we're not getting out of this traffic any time soon." he orders.
"I don't wanna," I dismissively wave my hand.
"Then stop complaining," he snorts.
"I don't wanna," I stress.
"What do you want then?" he inquires.
"I don't really know," I mumble as I curl into a tighter ball. The leather of the seats are a soft enough cushion to sleep on, but being next to Luke is just enough to keep me from my needed slumber.
"Ugh," he honks the horn, as he tries to switch lanes. I'm losing control of my mind, as I slip into a state of extreme fatigue. I doubt I'll remember any of this when I wake up.
"Luke?" I murmur.
"What now?" he asks in frustration.
"I love you," slowly I shut my eyes, and begin to drift off to my much deserved sleep. Although, as I am about to get the rest I am so entitled to, the car swerves, finding its way to a normal speed almost instantaneously afterwards. "Hey what the hell?!" I am jerked awake.
"N-n-nothing," Luke pants. "Just go to sleep, you should get some rest."
"Alright..." I hesitate, unsurely.
--------------------------------------------
"Please tell me it's the weekend," I shout towards the sound of running water, swinging my feet over the side of Luke's bed.
"You're up!" I hear his voice become shaken with startle.
"Well is it?" I scratch the back of my neck, as I meet my own eyes in the mirror above the wardrobe.
"Yeah it's Saturday," he yells above his noisy shower.
"Crap, that party is today, isn't it?" I open the dresser.
"I don't know what you're talking about," Luke responds. I hear a long and sharp creak as he turns the shower off.
"God, don't you have any good shirts?" all I see are sheer, plain tees. Ugh.
"If anyone doesn't have style sense it's you, Ms. X-Ambassadors," he laughs from inside the bathroom.
"How do you know I like X-Ambassadors?" I ask through the door.
"You wear your interests on your chest." he chuckles, "How could I not know?"
"I think I slept funny, my back hurts," I stretch as I yawn.
"You did fall asleep in my car," he explains, sarcastically.
"I did?" I inquire, raising a brow as I throw on one of his smaller shirts.
"Do you not remember last night?" he asks, growing gradually quieter.
"Fill me in," I ask, interested. Maybe I was so tired I forgot he made a move on me or something. No, don't get ahead of yourself, Adriann.
"The car swerved..." he reminds me. "Then you fell asleep,"
"Oh that's jogging a memory of how awful your driving is," I tap my temple.
"My driving is not bad," he whispers.
"Uh, yeah, it really is." I answer, sarcastically.
"You take that back!" he opens the door to the bathroom, wearing basketball shorts...and no shirt. Those abs. I feel faint. Turn into a shakespearean character and catch me as I fall.
"Never," I gape.
"Take it in," he flexes, giggling.
"Why would I ever want to see you shirtless?" I feign disgust.
"Haha don't pretend you don't love it," he chuckles.
"But I don't love it," I whine.
"Yes you do," he responds, shutting the door to his bedroom.
"I do," I admit, whispering only loud enough for myself to hear. "I do."
