Chapter Eight
Danielle's P.O.V
"Let's go to a party." Cole says, walking into my room, making me regret the decision of allowing Cole to stay in my room.
See what I mean? People always tend to make themselves comfortable like they are moving in.
I continue to sketch the outline of Maya's hair, not bothering to look up at the Cole who is watching me. "Are you asking me out, Cole Walker?" I ask, not taking my eyes off the paper. I hear Cole laugh for a few seconds before it completely dies.
"As much as our mother's would love that, you wish, princess." Cole says and I roll my eyes, settling my book beside me. I turn my body and stare up at the Cole.
"I prefer Leonardo DiCaprio over you any day, buddy so chill." I say, grinning at Cole who is raising one of his eyebrows at me, confusion and digust clear on his face.
"Leonardo DiCaprio? Really?" He asks and I nod, my eyes shutting for a few seconds as I imagine Leonardo DiCaprio in my mind.
Damn, instead of letting him die in the water, I will die with him! I don't care if that means I'm dead, as long as I am with Leonardo, I'm happy.
I cross one of my legs over the other and look up at Cole, the grin still on my lips. "Oh and who would you prefer, Cole?" I ask and Cole smirks.
"Megan Fox." Cole says and I roll my eyes, the urge of throwing up overwhelms me but I try and push the urge away.
"And you think Leo is bad." I mumble, chewing on the inside of my cheek in annoyance. Cole walks over to me and lifts my chin up so I am looking up at him.
I'd sure be lying if I said that Cole didn't look hot because in reality, he is oh so fine. Not as fine as Leonardo though, right?
Right.
"Changing the topic, your coming to the party tonight." Cole says and I raise my eyebrow at him.
"Who said?"
"Your mom." Cole says and I gasp.
"My mom said that?" I ask and Cole nods. I immediately stand up, pushing Cole out of the way and walking out of my room. I storm towards the kitchen where my mom is standing, a glass of wine in her hand as she talks to Andrea. Her bright pink hair is tied up in a loose bun and I hold in my laughter, trying to focus at the topic at hand.
Focus, Danielle.
"Mom, what is this I hear about you allowing me to go to a party with Cole?" I ask, raising my eyebrow at my mom. She narrows her eyes at me and sends me a glare.
"I don't want you here tonight after the pranks you pulled on me." My mom says in pure honesty and bluntness as she points to her hair and her mouth, earning and eye roll from me.
"I only did that because you and Andrea were talking about-"
"Danielle, I think we should get ready." Cole says behind me, his hand all of a sudden, covering my mouth. I grab his hand and pull it off me, sending my mom one last glare which basically says 'this conversation isn't over' before agreeing to get ready. I walk back into my room and notice that there is a black long sleeve dress that I haven't wore in a year or so laying on my bed.
"What is this?" I ask, turning around to look at Cole. He smiles and points at the dress.
"Your wearing that." Cole says and I roll my eyes.
"Dream on, pal." I say, before walking to my closet. Cole grabs my hand and spins me around so I am facing him once again. He sends me one of his famous grins and grabs the dress off my bed, handing it to me.
"Danielle, I wasn't asking."

"I still don't even know why my mom basically kicked me out of the house." I mumble and Cole laughs, making a left turn.
"I think your forgetting that you dyed your mom's hair pink and made her mouth burn from the 'toothpaste'." Cole chuckles and I roll my eyes.
"Well maybe if you let me explain why I did it instead of covering my mouth, she would've understood why." I say, shooting Cole a small glare and Cole just continues to drive to the party, his stupid grin plastered on his face.
"Cole?" I ask, slapping his arm.
"Yes?" He asks, not even making any effect to the hit. I simply roll my eyes and shrug.
"Never mind."
"No, no. Go on." Cole says, slapping my arm. I let out a sigh and run a hand through my hair.
"Why did you do it?"
"Explain."
"Why did you stop me from telling my mom why I pulled those pranks on her?" I ask, looking at Cole as I watch his keep his eyes on the road.
"Because they don't know we know about their plan." Cole says and I roll my eyes.
"Really? You don't think I know that?" I ask sarcastically and Cole just chuckles.
"What I'm saying is, if they know that we know, they will change up the whole entire plan into something way worse. I know how my mom works." Cole says and I narrow my eyes at him.
"Oh and what could they possible do? An arranged marriage? Please, my mom doesn't even know how to dial 1800-PIZZA into the phone." I say and Cole smirks.
"Never know." Cole says before pulling the car over to the side of the road. He cuts the engine and gets out of the car, slamming the door shut. I let out a sigh and open the car door, hoping that tonight won't be complicated.
"Shall we?" Cole asks, holding his arm out. I push him slightly and let out a laugh.
"Do me a favor and stay away from me the entire night." I say and Cole raises his eyebrow at me.
"Why would I do that?"
"Because you have other girls to accompany." I say and Cole nods.
"So do you if you wanna win that bet." Cole says and the bet that we made hits me, making me let out a groan.
I forgot about that bet.
As I walk into the house, the familiar smell of sweat and alcohol hits me and I suck in a breath before making my way to the kitchen. When I enter though, a face I haven't seen in a while makes a smile rise up on my face.
"Maya, my best friend!" I squeal, bring Maya into a hug. I hear her laugh as she turns around to greet me.
"Hello to you too, Danielle." Maya smiles. I grab a shot glass from the bench next to me and grab the bottle of alcohol, pouring it into my glass. Maya places her own shot glass beside mine and I pour some vodka into the glass, making sure that ours are equally filled.
The memory of when Cole and I decided to drink all of the alcohol at my place fills my head and confusion takes over. Why would my mom send me to a place where she knows alcohol will be supplied? Oh it's probably another part of her plan to get Cole and I together.
Sorry mom, it's not happening.
"Before we get drunk tonight and completely lose ourselves, I just want to say that I wish you a wonderful morning tomorrow. May the headache keep you alive." I chuckle as we tap our glasses together, hearing the 'clinking' sound. Maya nods and brings the glass up to her lips.
"Likewise."
