40. Natural
Bokuto looked at Akaashi, who was curled up on the couch in his office. He looked exhausted. Bokuto got up slowly, walking out of his office and turning off the lights. When he turned Sugawara was standing there, frowning.
"Gah! Don't scare me like that!"
"Why are you hiding Akaashi in your office?"
"He's just tired right now. That's all."
"Uh huh..." Sugawara leaned forward and sniffed. "Who's scent is on you?"
"Keiji's."
"He doesn't smell fruity. He smells like cinnamon." Sugawara tilted his head. "Let me see him."
"He's sleeping."
"Bokuto."
"Eh."
Sugawara walked around him and opened the door. He flipped on the light and walked to the couch. Suga bent down and felt of Akaashi's forehead. "No fever..."
Bokuto sighed. "I know..."
"Well..." Sugawara leaned closer and sniffed of the younger male. "Wait." He sniffed again.
Bokuto nervously fidgeted. "Suga..."
"You know, right?"
"Yeah we're trying to hide it for a while cause of... well. All the others. It makes us really nervous."
"He smells perfectly fine though. Yes, sweet like he should. But not salty. Why is he so tired?"
"I don't know."
"Eh... did you tell the doctor?"
"No. He has an appointment tomorrow though." Bokuto got closer.
"There's something else isn't there?"
"No."
"Bokuto I can tell if you're lying."
"That's so not cool..."
"Please just tell me. I might be able to help."
"Okay... fine." Bokuto leaned down. "He has bad morning sickness. Like really bad to the point he has to get back into bed for like fifteen minutes and lay there to relax."
"Have you tried ginger?"
"Yep."
"More water?"
"He can't get enough... he also gets more protein foods and stuff but he just keeps throwing up more and more." Bokuto fixed the blanket. "I don't know what to do anymore."
"Hm... There's a prescription you can ask for."
"Really?"
"Yeah."
"Oh well that's good."
Akaashi whined softly, moving around. He opened his eyes and startled. "A-ah don't watch me sleep. What the hell?"
Bokuto chuckled. He eased Akaashi up gently.
"Why was I being watched?"
"I had to tell Suga. He was peer pressuring me." Bokuto said quickly.
Akaashi yawned. "Surprise..." He rubbed his eyes.
Suga frowned. "Are you okay?"
"Tired."
"When you go to the doctor you need to tell him how tired you are and how much you're throwing up."
"Mkay." Akaashi looked at Bokuto and frowned. He made grabby hands.
Bokuto hefted him up and kissed his hair. "Hi there."
Sugawara laughed. "Aw."
Akaashi yawned. "I want... chicken."
"Chicken?"
"Mhmm."
Suga got up. "Come on, let's get you something to eat then."
Akaashi sat up slightly and smiled. He kissed Bokuto's forehead. "I love you!"
"Ah. I love you too."
Akaashi bumped their foreheads together.
"Someone's affectionate."
Akaashi kissed his forehead and then cheek. Suga smiled. He would be tired but affectionate this time. He got Akaashi to get down and hugged him. Akaashi gladly hugged him too, nuzzling against him.
Suga grinned. Akaashi never gave him a lot of hugs but he gave such gentle hugs Suga couldn't help it.
Bokuto whined. "But he's mine."
"Ah, ah mating doesn't mean owning." Sugawara warned. He rubbed Akaashi's back. "Besides he likes this. So fuck off."
Bokuto huffed. "Keiji..."
"Comfy..."
"But..."
Sugawara saw the jealousy. He knew Bokuto couldn't help it. Being over protective as an alpha was normal. "Hey Akaashi, how about you give Bokuto some love? I think he wants a hug."
Akaashi let go and turned, attaching to Bokuto. "Oh you smell good."
"I'm gonna go get your chicken and you two can cuddlle."
Bokuto sat on the couch and held Akaashi. Sugawara left them alone, leaving the room. Bokuto kissed Akaashi's hair and rocked him lightly. Akaashi smiled and put a hand on his stomach. "Another baby..."
"Mhmm."
"Do you think it'll be another girl?"
"Well. If it is then that's fun. If not that's okay too." Bokuto rubbed his stomach. "As long as they're happy and healthy, it's okay. And as long as you are too."
Akaashi relaxed. "Yeah." Akaashi coughed and closed his eyes. 'Ah I can already tell I'm going to be really, really sick during this one..."
"Ah... That's a lot of sick days."
"I'll have maternity leave so that helps... wait no it won't... cause... shit we need to fix the paper work."
"Alrighty."
"If my water breaks while I'm here or if I go into labor I'll be pissed off."
"I know."
"Good... maybe I should take four weeks off before the due sate and the other eight after?"
"Sounds good to me."
"Okay." Akaashi looked up. "Are you just agreeing with me cause I might get mad?"
Bokuto flushed. "Me? Noooo."
"Koutarou."
"Ack. I mean those are actually really good ideas. But like, I have no idea how it feels to be pregnant."
"Okay?" Akaashi coughed agin. "Blech."
"I think you might need to sleep more when you're done eating if you feel so sick."
"No I don't feel sick. I just hate coughing or sneezing because they make me feel gross."
"Pfft."
Akaashi lowered his brows, not impressed. Suga walked back in and brought him a small container of what looked like some sort of soup. "Where did you even get this?"
"Sometimes Daichi cooks and I put frozen soup in the freezer for people in the breakroom. I had this in there and I dethawed it and warmed it up or whatever. I can't cook. I don't know what it's called."
"I thought you can cook?"
"Nope. Daichi does most of the cooking and I do the cleaning after him." Sugawara smiled. "He's really good at cooking."
"And you aren't?" Bokuto questioned, talking for Akaashi since the younger male was eating slowly, focusing on not spilling anything.
"Oh well no. I once burned a whole thing of samon cause I put the wrong temp and the right time. That was very interesting."
Bokuto tilted his head. "I can cook though...?"
"That's great. I can't and both of you can."
Akaashi snezed again. "Fucking hell!"
Bokuto tensed. "You okay?"
"Sorry. Didn't mean to yell. I just seriously hate sneezing."
Bokuto laughed and kissed the side of his head. "Weirdo."
Akaashi rolled his eyes. "Thanks."
Suga bent down and took the now empty bowl from Akaashi. He stood there for a moment, smiling. "You call me if you need anything, okay?"
"Okay... thank you." Akaashi yawned and shifted some. "I swear this child is going to make me suffer for nine months..." He sighed. "Well... I hope not at least."
"Let's hope they also don't try to come out and cause a natural birth. I had to do it with Yuichi and I swore I wanted no more kids because of how God damned painful it was. They had to even put me under after and Daichi started to go feral on them because of everything... it was a mess."
Akaashi stared. "Please don't scare me like that."
"A-ah I don't mean to! I'm so sorry!"
"No it's fine but natural birth is the thing I'm the most scared of..." He mumbled. He looked towards Bokuto, who was listening intently. He looked back into his lap, fiddling with his fingers. It sounded scary and if Suga thought it was painful then it must be bad.
