Akaashi smiled at Emiko, who was being held by one of Bokuto's fathers. She seemed happy enough and was even giggling. So everything was okay.
Bokuto was sitting next to him, holding his hand under the table.
Any minute now.
Akaashi yawned and smiled at Emiko, who was making soft cooing noises. Bokuto laughed. "She's so cute."
Akaashi nodded. "Definitely." He glanced up to see a woman approaching his table. "Ah. Hi Mom."
"Keiji."
Bokuto looked up. "Hello!"
"Mm."
Akaashi tried his best to brush off the anger from that. "May I have Emiko back?" One of Bokuto's dads gave her to Akaashi. Akaashi hummed and put her on his chest. "Hey there princess…"
Bokuto smiled and leaned over. He clicked his tongue. "Hi Emmy."
Akaashi chuckled. "Did you enjoy being held by others?" Akaashi whispered gently.
Akaashi's mother narrowed her eyes a bit. "Why do you feel the need to talk to her?"
"Oh. Well she loves noise. It helps her stay calm." Akaashi kissed her head. Bokuto laughed nervously before kissing her head too.
"May I hold her?" Akaashi's father questioned.
Akaashi nodded and eased her into his arms.
"Oh wow… she's so little. How sweet." He eased her up and smiled. "You're adorable."
Akaashi chuckled. "She looks just like her dad."
"She has your eyes!" Bokuto protested.
Akaashi's mother looked over. "They look very pale. No where near green."
"Oh no they're a little green." Bokuto smiled.
"Why are her eyes that light?"
Akaashi cleared his throat. "Mom..."
"Mm?"
"Emiko is blind. That's why her eyes are so pale…"
His mother narrowed her eyes. "What caused it?"
"We're not completely sure but she's perfectly healthy."
"Did you smoke while pregnant?"
"No. I don't smoke anymore. It's risky."
"Alcohol?"
"I don't like the taste."
"Food you weren't supposed to?"
Akaashi shifted. "Well I snuck minor things. But none of that affected her, I'm sure. I didn't do anything major and I was only hit once in my stomach..."
"You must have done something to make her this way."
Both of Bokuto's parents stared. Finally, the alpha of the two spoke. "I'm sorry but he's done nothing wrong. At all. Why are you acting like that to him?"
"A-ah no it's okay. I get it." Akaashi said quickly. "Please don't worry."
Bokuto frowned. "You did nothing wrong."
Akaashi's father looked at his wife. "She's your granddaughter. It shouldn't matter."
"My apparent son caused it though."
Akaashi started spacing out a bit, seemingly ignoring the argument around him.
Bokuto turned, seeing it. "Keiji."
Akaashi blinked. Instantly after he started sobbing, his body shaking. His scent of distress filled the area around him.
Bokuto hurried to overbear it and hold him. "Keiji. Deep breaths. In and out like we did outside. Deep breaths sweetheart."
"I-I didn't do anything." Akaashi held on.
"I know, I know."
"S-she's perfect. I love her." Akaashi looked at his mother. "P-please that's my daughter. Just because she's blind doesn't mean she's worth less."
His mother sighed. "The last one wouldn't have been this way. It's a shame."
Bokuto growled loudly. Akaashi stopped crying, shocked. Bokuto wouldn't stop though, seemingly getting angrier by the second. "K-Koutarou I don't think-"
"That is MY fucking daughter. He is MY mate. You have no fucking idea how difficult it was for him to get here. Who gives a damn if she's blind?! You DO NOT bring that up." He growled louder, holding himself back. "Leave."
"My husband is here. I won't leave."
Bokuto started to move but Akaashi grabbed his hair. It was really instinct at this point to grab his hair and pull. It gave Bokuto a shock of pain that stopped him from being so feral. Bokuto looked to the side, panting. "She needs to go."
"Koutarou. Deep breath."
"C-can't."
"Yes you can." Akaashi whispered. He motioned for Emiko and his father gave her back. "Look, look she's safe. I'm safe. Deep breath."
Bokuto nodded. Akaashi let go of his hair.
"Good… here." Here eased Emiko into Bokuto's arms. "Here we go… she's okay."
Bokuto nodded, calmed down. He rocked Emiko. He kissed her head, smiling faintly. "Whew."
Akaashi looked at his mother. "Please leave."
She frowned. "Fine. Riku let's go."
"Dad can stay."
The older male smiled. His wife sighed, getting up.
Akaashi smiled when she was out of sight. "Now we can have a normal lunch. Finally."
His father chuckled. "Yes."
Bokuto was still focused on Emiko, loving on her gently and whispering to her. Akaashi leaned over and kissed his temple.
Bokuto looked up. "Mm."
"Don't grunt at me." Akaashi kissed his temple again.
Bokuto playfully grunted at him and then giggled.
Akaashi snorted. "Alright dork, are we calm now?"
"No. I needa kiss first."
Akaashi kissed him and smiled. "Give her here."
Bokuto gave Emiko over and Akaashi got up to go feed her. Bokuto tugged his shirt. "Woah, woah you can feed her here."
"O-oh no that's not a good idea."
"What do you mean? Breastfeeding is natural. Come on babe, sit down."
Akaashi sat down and pulled out the cover. "If someone yells at me I'm allowing you to go feral, okay?"
"Deal. I've been needing to release it for a bit anyways."
Akaashi rolled his eyes and let Emiko feed.
Bokuto hummed, looking through the menu now.
Akaashi tensed. He heard someone whispering about him. He didn't want to hear that in the least.
Akaashi closed his eyes and kept helping Emiko.
"Here we go…" Akaashi smiled. Emiko had finally latched properly and was eager to drink. Akaashi glanced at Bokuto staring at a picture of food. "Koutarou."
"Yeah?"
"You wouldn't like that."
"Eh?"
"There's a seasoning in there you wouldn't like- fucker." Akaashi looked down. He switched her to the other side.
"Hey hey hey what's wrong?"
"It just hurts a little."
"I don't think it should do that… it was supposed to stop, right?"
"Well yes. But she's not as gentle as we thought."
"Ah. Okay." Bokuto reached into his bag and took out a little tube. He put it down.
Akaashi gently eased Emiko back and took the cover off. She was put back in the stoller that he rolled back and forth for a bit, easing her to sleep.
"Here we go." Bokuto put his hand under Akaashi's shirt and rubbed both sides of his chest with the contents of the tube.
"Koutarou! We're in public." Akaashi whisper yelled.
"So what. Why don't they take a picture, makes it last longer." Bokuto mumbled. He pulled his hand back.
Akaashi shifted. "Weird…"
"I'm your weird so hush it." Bokuto kissed his cheek. "Mwah! I love you!"
"I love you too. Now seriously don't order that. You hate the seasoning in the chicken." Akaashi pointed to something else, which was something teriyaki. "There. That's what you usually get."
"Oh right! Bleh." Bokuto laughed. "Thanks sweetheart."
"Mhmm."
Bokuto pointed to something else. "And you get this."
"I do." Akaashi looked at Emiko, who was fast asleep in her stroller. He reached and rubbed her leg. Emiko whined softly. She shifted again and stayed calm.
Both of Bokuto's fathers smiled. Bokuto glanced up and grinned. "She's a cutie, isn't she?"
"She definitely is."
Akaashi chuckled. "She's a little heathen. But we love her."
