Just realized I did not have this here the first time I posted this chapter 😂😂. Oops.

People say she's only in my head
It's gonna take time but I'll forget
They say I need to get on with my life
But they don't realize

Is when your dialing six numbers just to hang up the phone.
Driving cross town just to see if she's home.
Waking a friend in the dead of night, just to hear 'em say it's gonna be alright.
When your finding things to do not to fall asleep
'Cause you know she'll be there in your dreams.
That's when she's
More than a memory

Took a match to everything she ever wrote
Watched her words go up in smoke
Tore all the pictures off the wall
But that ain't helping me at all.

'Cause when your talking out loud and nobody's there
You look like hell and you just don't care
Drinking more than you've ever drank
Sinking down lower than you've ever sank
When you find yourself falling down upon your knees,
Praying to God, begging him please
That's when she's
More than a memory

She's more
She's more

Cause when your dialing her number just to hang up the phone
Driving cross town just to see if she's home
Waking a friend in the dead of night, just to hear 'em say it's gonna be alright
When our finding things to do not to fall asleep
'Cause you know she'll be waiting in your dreams
That's when she's
More than a memory

People say she's only in my head
Its gonna take time but I'll forget

"I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU JUST DID THAT." Ponyboy yelled at me while shaking his head, everyone else nodding or making noises if agreement while glowering at me.

"It had to be done." I sighed while looking for somewhere to sit.

"YOU DO REALIZE YOU PROBABLY JUST BROKE UP A FRIENDSHIP RIGHT? AND FOR GOD'S SAKE DARRY YOU'RE IN LOVE WITH THE GIRL, DAMN HOW COULD YOU BE SO BLIND. Even a blind man could see the love whenever y'all are in the same room." Soda yelled this time while crossing his arms over his chest and standing up to face me.

"HOW THE HELL did I break up a friendship?"

"Oh please, Kieran cannot keep a secret for the life of her. She's probably been dropping hints for weeks." Two-Bit rolled his eyes

"And that's my fault because why exactly...?" I was confused behind their theory and why they were pinning everything on me.

"Because Olivia isn't an idiot like you and knows how to connect fucking dots, that's why." Dally cursed my name

;

No one has acknowledged my existence in a week, not even my kid brothers have said a word to me. Everyone stopped coming over and now it's just lonely. I don't understand why everyone is like this when all I did was tell the truth.

The little ovoid of light coming from outside was obstructed by something and soon a knock on the door followed. As I got closer to the door the smell of alcohol became more profound making my face screw up in disgust at the strong smell. I drank, sure, but this was beyond just drinking, this was to the point of alcohol poisoning, or worse. With the smell of puke mixed in to the nauseating, cloudy swirl of alcohol and possible drugs, my eyes were tearing up and I was doing everything to hold in a gag bubbling up in my throat.

This had to be Dally coming here for something, as he was the only one I'd know to do this. It was around two in the morning, who else could it be coming here after a night of drinking, soc's don't hang around in this neighborhood, and Dal is the only one of us who drinks himself to death every night.

I opened the door to find Olivia standing there on the porch wearing something attractively red with puke dribbled on the neckline and at the corner of her mouth with a dazed yet fiery look in her eyes.

"What the hell are you doing here Olivia?" I whisper-shouted careful not to wake up my kid brothers.

"I just wanted you to know that I wasn't quite there yet, but given the time I could have come to love you, but you threw it all in the trash that night when you decided to open your big mouth and say we would never work. And I think you were just protecting your own ass, or emotions, and lying when you said that. Because I see the way you look at me, its the same way Kieran looks at Soda and vice versa, and also the way Steve looks at food and Two-bit at mickey mouse, and Dallas at a beer, and you should get the point now. Damn, it really is liquid courage, I never could have done this without a few of those, those... those... bang bang to kill ya stuffs." And with that she ran off into the dark of night.

So I stayed up sitting on the couch with the dim porch light as my company staring off into space thinking about everything Olivia said and how it all weighed down on and came back to me and my one foolish mistake.

##

I don't know when this is being published, but tonight (8/19/16) we had our first home football game and we won 46/0 so yeah...

Also, I'm making a so called 'windows down summer town playlist' with a lot of songs that are great that you sing in the car with your friends (if/when you can drive. Or maybe not...) idk just thought I should give you that update.

I come from a small country town that you wouldn't even know if I handed you a map of it. Our town is one of those towns where 96.5% of people have beer guts, we worship (our high school's) football (and sometimes baseball/basketball) like its a second religion, and everybody knows everybody.

I say our high school's football team because we don't have a pro team, and it's more sentimental, we support our locals. But if it's not high school, then we are watching basketball 24/7

also, to clear the air, Olivia wasn't using drugs, other people at the party were, and the smell stuck to her clothes. just so you know, because I'm not that stupid or evil.
