"What do you want?" Jeongguk let out, gripping the phone tightly in his hand.

Lee Jungwon snickered. "Recognized me from my voice alone? Aren't you adorable?"

"I said what do you want" Jeongguk spat, despite his heart racing in his chest.

"I want you dead, Jeongguk. You already know that"

Jeongguk gulped, not knowing what to say.

"You made a mistake by letting Jihoon come back to me. I know where you are now. And I'm going to make sure you're dead sooner or later"

"You have no idea where I am. There are many packs in this area. And bold of you to believe I'm still in that wildland after you sent to kill me. I'm on the move and you will never find me" Jeongguk seethed.

"Then I will find you once again, the same way I found you this time. But for now, keep running. That's the only thing you're good at"

Despite the fear, Jeongguk felt anger surge through him.

"I'm sure we will be able to meet soon and I will be walking back to your- I mean, my pack, with your head. Until then, goodbye"

Jeongguk stared into blank space as the phoneline cut, a deafening silence starting to creep over him. His whole body was sweaty, hot. His hands shook and his heart raced. He felt faintish.

Jungwon wouldn't find him here. There are dozens of packs in the wildland. And he had never come to find Jeongguk himself. Always had sent his minions. And this was the only time Jeongguk had gotten caught.

He shook his head, trying to get the anxiety that swelled his chest out of his system. He tried to comfort himself by thinking positively about the situation. As Taehyung said, the chance of Jungwon finding him here was extremely low and the man was known for his empty threats. There was no way he would come himself so even if he sends someone, he would be safer in a crowd than alone on the road.

As time passed, though the fear subsided, the anxious knot in his chest never loosened. He felt feverish. He laid on the bed, hugging the pillow and wished to fall asleep and by the time he woke up, he would feel better. However sleep never came and he found his wolf longing for something to calm himself with.

Jeongguk got up from the bed, unable to stand the anxiety that still ran fresh in his veins. He needed comfort. His wolf was at unease and he needed-

Jeongguk hurriedly went through his clothes, throwing them out of his suitcase. He finally found what he was looking for: a shirt. His father's shirt he had had for the last three months since his death. Whenever he felt lost, his father's lingering scent in that shirt brought him comfort. His father had meant the world to him and even after his death he continued to comfort Jeongguk when he needed him the most.

Jeongguk brought it to his nose and inhaled the faint scent. He set it down, waiting for himself to calm down. It never came.

And Jeongguk realized that his father's scent wasn't what his wolf was seeking for to get comfort. He needed something- quickly, but he didn't know what or where to look for it.

He looked around his room frantically, and his eyes caught a particular piece of cloth lying atop his drawer. Jeongguk felt himself walk towards it slowly and he reached out to take the handkerchief in his hands.

It was Taehyung's handkerchief from the previous day- with dried blood and dirt.

Jeongguk didn't understand why his wolf took interest in it. He had hoped to wash it and give it back to the alpha. So he wasn't thinking right when he brought it to his nose and sniffed it.

A wave of bliss ran through his whole body by the small sniff, Taehyung's scent running though his respiratory system in a split second and he felt his whole body relax, the anxiety disappearing.

Surprised, he sniffed it again and again- until he was holding it against his nose so tightly, he felt suffocated. But he couldn't help himself. Every sniff had Jeongguk's entire body relaxing and all his worries seemed to fade away.

He crawled on the bed, holding the cloth against himself and sniffing it from time to time. This was exactly what his wolf had been asking for. The only way to relieve stress and anxiety. To seek comfort.

Taehyung's scent was the epitome of comfort and peace. And Jeongguk wanted nothing more than to be basked in it.

He felt his tired eyes soon flutter close and he stepped into the land of dreams, his nose buried in Taehyung's handkerchief.

The next morning, Jeongguk woke up to his wolf restless once again.

He was no longer anxious or scared, but his wolf was restless and the reason for it was the lack of Taehyung's scent in the handkerchief. The scent had faded overnight, after the million sniffs Jeongguk had taken from it.

And he couldn't physically do or think anything other than feel the need to have Taehyung's scent close to him.

He felt his heart heave in his chest, feeling tears prickle at the back of his eyes. And Jeongguk knew what he was feeling.

He had lived twenty-two years of his life now and he knew that this is exactly what he would feel pre-heat. This vulnerability, the need for comfort, the need to curl into a ball and be surrounded by his favourite scents. The scents that bring him comfort and make him feel safer.

However his heat wasn't due yet. And Jeongguk knew this episode wouldn't be continued to a heat from experience. This had occurred because of the phone call. The anxiety that had taken over his body was still so deep-rooted that he knew the only way to feel better was to take care of his wolf's needs right now.

However that comfort could only be provided by one scent. A scent from one particular alpha.

Jeongguk didn't understand why his wolf was craving this particular scent so badly. That was the only cure and it's important to listen to his wolf at times like this. His wolf knew what was best for him. His wolf always acted on his most primal needs and wishes, no matter how much Jeongguk himself would deny such feelings. And now, his wolf needed Taehyung's scent closer to him.

His mind switched back to Taehyung. He involuntarily reminisced the addictive scent of forest and red wine. And how much it had calmed him down and brought him peace the other day. He could only think of how much it would relax him now. Wash all his worries away.

He thought about the alpha's voice; his deep, alluring voice and that smile that could light up a whole room. Those beautiful, tender eyes that held so much love and passion. The way he fought for Jeongguk...and saved his life. The alpha was truly commendable. Also the way they kissed...

The way Taehyung kissed him, held him against the door and absolutely devoured him. Jeongguk felt his tummy erupt with butterflies, his wolf feasting on the memories that swam into his head and the more he thought, the more his lips curved upwards and he found himself smiling like a fool.

However, after realizing that he was daydreaming about Taehyung, he shook himself awake. His wolf had seemed to calm down from the thoughts of Taehyung but minutes later, the discomfort from earlier crept back in. Therefore, Jeongguk decided to take a shower, like he would do when he was about to go into heat so he can calm his wolf.

However, a long, hot shower with his favourite products that smelled like fruits and a set of comfy, clean clothes later, he found himself still drowning in the same discomfort and his wolf whined restlessly.

He sighed. His wolf needed Taehyung's scent. But how in the world could he provide his wolf with what he needs? When he had been ignoring Taehyung for two days now? He didn't want to face him right now.

The thoughts of how he didn't want to see Taehyung only made his wolf more restless. Therefore, he found himself stepping out of his room minutes later. It was almost midday and he could see wolves in the lobby downstairs from the corridor. They were interacting with each other as usual. He spotted Taehyung too, talking with Jimin.

So Taehyung wasn't in his room and it didn't look like he would come back very soon with the way he seemed to be enticed in the conversation.

His wolf whimpered helplessly, his heart tightening and the need to find comfort becoming even worse.

He looked at Taehyung's room a few feet away from his own and Jeongguk didn't like the string of thoughts that crossed his mind.

However there was one problem, and he could see only one solution for it.
