*BEEEEP BEEEEP*

Sounded the alarm throughout the castle, startling you awake.

Lance shot up from his bed and obviously knew what that siren meant. He quickly got out of bed and pushed a button on the wall that made his Paladin uniform appear.

"Lance?" You asked while rubbing your eyes and getting nervous about what was happening.

"Everything's alright Y/n!" Lance said as he quickly put on his black suit and then his armor. " J-Just stay here and we'll be right back!" Lance stumbled out of his room and rushed to his Lion hanger.

"We'll?" You pondered out loud. Like any child, you couldn't just sit still so you carefully slid down the side of the bed using the bedsheets to help you. Putting on your slippers, you rushed out the door and headed to the main 'big room' as you would call it.

You made it to the doorway and poked your head in. You could see Allura standing in the middle with her hands on top of two orbs that were held upon two thin podiums and Coran was in the front taping away at various controls on the holo-screen. You watched the big screen at the far end where there were space lions fighting from afar.

"Pidge! Watch out!" You heard Hunk shout.

"Got it! And Keith you've got some ships right behind you!" She also shouted followed by a grunt since she barely dodged a laser from the enemy.

"Right! I'm going for the ion cannon."

"Okay, Lance and I got your back." You heard Shiro say. You watched as everything unfolded but you couldn't understand what was going on.

"Damn it! How did they find us again?!" Keith yelled, making you flinch. You then looked at Allura and Coran who were using what seemed like game controls.

"Mommy?" You spoke up, taking a step into the room. Allura did a double-take before realizing you were there.

"Oh! Y/n... We're-We're a little busy at the moment so please-" Allura was interrupted when the castle shook from the impact of a Lazer.

"Are you guys okay?" Shiro asked through the intercom.

"Yes but-"

"Daddy?" You said out loud, wondering if he could hear you. Shiro blushed at the nickname but answered.

"Hey Y/n, everything's going to be alright. Just sit tight until we get back-"

"Would you guys focus on what we're doing now?! Y/n's safe in the castle so forget about her!" Keith raised his voice, irritated that they would let something like this steer them away from their concentration.

"Right, Coran, prepare the castle defense!"

"Yes princess!" You watched everything happen as if it were a movie. And a scary one at that. But then the castle got shot again causing it to shake a second time and you fell back on your tush.

"Keith! The Ion Canon!"

"I'm working on it but there are too many ships blocking my way! Lance!"

"I'm on it, I'm on it!" Lance replied angrily as he tried to take down as many Galra ships as possible.

"M-Mommy?" You said with fear in your voice.

"Not now Y/n." She answered harshly due to the pressure of having to defend the castle. You were surprised by her tone and felt bad so you started to tear up and cried out in fear. "Y/n this is not the time! Be quiet!" Allura yelled at you. You looked at her with wide eyes in disbelief.

Realizing she had hurt your feelings, Allura was about to say something but was interrupted when an alert notification appeared on her screen.

You then ran out of the room and headed back to your own room. Once you were there, you quickly got in your bed and covered yourself with your blanket while covering your ears as you cried in fear.

"Allura what's going on?" Shiro's voice was urgent and concerned.

"I'll explain later, but I've got the Teludav system working again!" Allura quickly pushed some buttons on the holographic screen, causing the castle to fire at several Galra ships. "Paladins! Get back in the castle, We're going to wormhole out of here!" The Paladins did as they were told and in just Ticks, everyone was out of harm's way. Allura and Coran let out an exhausted sigh seeing that they were out of harm's way for now.

"I still don't understand how they keep finding us..." Pidge said to no one in particular as she walked into the room and over to her computer and started doing some math to see if she could find out how.

"Maybe they're tracking us?" Lance questioned.

"No...The castle would have picked up on any tracking devices." Allura placed a hand on her chin as she pondered on the thought. Hunk also walked in with the rest of the Paladins and noticed something.

"Hey, where's Y/n?" Everyone had forgotten for a split second that you were still on the ship with them. That's when Allura remembered the way she spoke to you, she looked to the floor and rubbed her arms feeling guilty. Before she could say anything, Lance rushed out and went to his room to see if you were still in the same place he left you. The door swooshed open but you weren't there.

"Hey, Lance." Shiro called out as he waved him and the rest of the group over to your room.

You were still in your bed, shaking and quivering in fear.

All the noise had stopped, does that mean the fight was over? Or maybe it meant the Mean people made it into the castle???

Shiro sat on your bed and gently tapped your shoulder. "Y/n?" You flinched and backed away but then recognized his voice and shot out of your bed and into his arms.

"Daddy!!" You cried out. You nuzzled your face into his chest as you cried.

"It's okay Y/n-"

"Oh would someone shut her up!" Keith spoke up, finally blowing a fuse. Everyone turned to look at him in somewhat of a shock. You, on the other hand, stopped crying and hid behind Shiro.

"Keith, don't yell at-"

"Why shouldn't I?! She threw off our formation causing us more problems than we already had!" You looked at Keith with hurt-filled eyes. "All she's done since she's gotten here was, throw us off track of our responsibilities, make everyone let their guard down, and cry all the damn time! And who knows, maybe we're being tracked because of this little-!"

"That's enough!" Shiro shouted back.

"What, just because she calls you 'dad', you feel the need to defend her now?" Keith responded in anger. "FYI Shiro, she's not family."

"Dude! What's gotten into you?!" Lance asked in disbelief.

"You know what! Just forget about it!" And those were his last words before he stormed out of the room.

"Well, Keith's being more Emo than usual." Pidge added.

"Why don't we all just take a break for a while and then we can continue the research on how they are locating us. And Y/n..." Allura walked over to you and bent down the slightest bit so she could be at your height. "I'm sorry for raising my voice at you, it wasn't nice of me to do. I was stressed and-"

"It's okay." You said, interrupting her. "I understand..." You than wiggled your way out of Shiro's arms and laid back down on your bed and tucked yourself in. "Goodnight everyone." You said as you forced your eyes closed.

Everyone understood that you didn't really want to talk to anyone right now so they started leaving your room.

Once you heard your door swoosh closed, you opened your big e/c eyes, only seeing the blue light that runs across the room.

It's true though...

You started to think.

They aren't my parents, they aren't my family...

So, where do I come from?

With that as your last thought, you shut your eyes once again, hoping you'd get sleepy soon.

"Hey." Shiro approached Keith who was battling the gladiator. Keith ignored him and kept fighting to take out his anger. "Hey!" Shiro raised his voice.

Still no answer.

Shiro sighed in frustration seeing that he was being stubborn. "End battle sequence." And just like that, the gladiator stopped and fell through a hole that opened on the floor. Keith put his Bayard down at his side letting it disappear.

"What do you want? Are you here to lecture me?" He asked a-matter-of-factly.

"What happened back there?" Shiro's question was straightforward.

Keith then remembers the moment he was examining his blade with the same symbol as the one on Ulaz's blade. The ones the Mormorans had.

"It was nothing. Just forget about it." Keith said coldly as he turned back to the training ground.

"That obviously wasn't 'nothing'."

"Would you just give it a rest Shiro?"

"Keith.." Shiro walked over to him. "I know something's bothering you and you don't need to tell me now but, don't take it out on Y/n either." Keith sighed in annoyance knowing he was right but of course he wouldn't admit that out loud.

"Look, I just don't think we should have a kid here. Can't we just wormhole over to Earth and just leave her at a police station or something?"

"That would be our best choice but we can't do that, not when we know that Zarkon is constantly tracking us down."

"I want to go home." Shiro and Keith turned to look in your direction. You stood in the doorway in your pj's and your head hung low. "I want to go home." You repeated. They exchanged a look before Shiro walked over to you.

"I'm sorry Y/n, but we can't do that right now, but don't worry ev-"

"Everything's going to be alright." You finished his sentence. You heard him and the others repeat it so many times, you were starting to think that it wasn't 'going to be alright'.

"Y/n we-" Shiro was once again interrupted when the blaring alarm sounded throughout the castle. Shiro quickly picked you up and rushed to the bridge along with Keith.

Once they got there, the other Paladins were also there. Everyone watched with terrified expressions.

"H-How??"
