It was one of those days.

The kind where you lay there on your bed and stare up at the ceiling not wanting to get up cause you know that your gonna have to deal with some serious shit.

You took a deep breath and sighed loudly, it was either get up and meet them outside, or wait until they would come barging into your room, and honestly, the first option seemed less embarrassing.

You reluctantly pulled the covers off of you and sat up. After stretching your muscles, you got up and got ready to face everyone.

You dragged your feet as you walked down the hall hearing the faint chatter of the paladins and the Alteans. Right before you turned the corner, you took a deep breath knowing that this wouldn't be a pleasant conversation. You finally had the courage to walk through the doorway, making everyone in the room immediately quiet down.

Some looked at you with pity or sadness, others with disappointment mixed with a bit of hate. And then there was Allura.

"Hey, listen guys I-"

You knew it was coming.

Your head whipped to a side as you felt the sting of the slap practically radiating off of your cheek. You deserved that.

She had a hard glare fixated on you, you straightened your poster before trying to explain again but you couldn't even get the first word out since Allura decided to punch you in the face this time, making you stumble back.

"Allura, I know you're angry but-" You tried to reason with her but she grabbed you by the collar of your shirt and jacket, lifting you up to her height.

"Angry doesn't even begin to explain how I am feeling at the moment." She threw you against the wall, your head slamming with an awful thud before you slid to the ground.

"Allura!"

"Don't you think that's enough? Can't you see she's not fighting back?!" Keith defended. You slowly got up with the help of the wall.

"She deserves that and more!" Allura prepared her Bayard but you never even flinched. She got it ready but Shiro took a hold of her arm before she could let out her fury.

"Allura, at least hear what she has to say." Shiro tried to reason with her to stop the violence before it could get any worse. She glared at him but after a few moments, her expressions softened. She retracted her weapon and stood tall to seem more intimidating.

"Thanks, Shiro." You coughed as you wiped the blood from the corner of your mouth with the hem of your jacket before speaking.

"First of all, I'm sorry I never mentioned that the person that I knew was Lotor. But can you blame me? I apparently had no choice but to stay with him." You let out a sigh. "I only just remembered all of this when he told me. And I-"

"And why should we believe you?" Allura questioned.

"Huh?" You said honestly confused.

"You've wanted to keep this all a secret from us before if it hadn't been for Kolivan, so why should we believe you now? Maybe you're the one who was also working with the Galra and told them about our plan." You could clearly see that Allura's hatred towards you was clouded her judgment. You took a deep breath and thought about how you should respond so you wouldn't make matters worse.

"If you trust Kolivan and Matt, then you can trust me." You walked over to her calmly. "I'm not sure if you're mad at me because I didn't tell you I knew Lotor personally or the fact that maybe your father had more trust in me than you." Allura gasped at your assumption and you knew you hit the mark.

"If you think that I-"

"If it makes you feel any better, 90% of the time we worked on the Lions together, you were all he could talk about." Allura froze making you let out a chuckled sigh. "You were the most important thing to him in the entire galaxy next to his wife, he loved you very much and seeing how happy he was... if I couldn't have the family I wanted, I wanted you to live an easier life at least so I accepted the burden." Allura was left without words and you just patted her shoulder and turned for the door.

"Where are you going?" Shiro asked.

"To talk face to face with Lotor. I need to get some things straight. If you want, I'll even bring Shiro along to prove I'm not planning anything." You looked over at the Black paladin, he gave you a curt nod.

"I'll keep an eye on them and tell you everything that happens later."

"Fine." was all she could say at the moment. You two turned on your heels and made your way down the hall.

"Thanks, Shiro." You murmured as you two walked down the halls.

"No problem, Allura just seems to be a bit on edge lately, don't worry about her too much, she'll come around eventually." You smiled at him, always happy to listen to what he has to say.

"You ready?" Shiro asked you once you were at the door.

"No, but that doesn't really matter right now." Shiro gave you a side smile and a slight nudge with his elbow for encouragement. He punched in a few codes and soon enough the door slid open with a woosh.

Lotor sat at the end of the cell room but lifted his head as soon as he heard the door.

"Y/n." He breathed with a gentle smile. He stood up and Shiro kept a protective stance next to you.

"Hi, Lotor. We came here to ask you some questions." You said somewhat formally, making Lotor feel bad about the whole situation.

"Of course, ask me anything you want." He said calmly.

"Alright, how do you plan to bring peace by taking over the Galran empire?" Shiro asked as he crossed his arms over his chest.

"Well, first I wanted to change the way my father would get allies; instead of making them fear us, we should help them so that we can work together." He tried to sound as honest as possible knowing right now you two were still skeptical.

"Do you have any plans?" You asked.

"I have a few of my people as undercover soldiers who are ready to strike at any moment to get back certain ports." He answered.

"Great, we'll start from there, tell us what port you have the most soldiers and we'll work our way through." You nodded and started walking away, making the conversation a lot shorter than you had expected.

"Wait Y/n," Lotor took a step forward but Shiro was quick to get in front of you. "I just wanted you to know I'm happy to see you're doing all right, you are so much like your parents." Your breath hitched and you immediately walked out of the room, there was no way you would cry in front of him. You rushed out the door without looking back.

You could hear your name being called by Shiro down the hall but ignored them until you finally made it back to your room. You closed the door behind you and leaned on it, only to slide to the ground. You hugged your knees towards your chest and let out a sigh.

If only I was back on Earth...

"Hey Shiro, what happened?" Asked Lance rushing over to the black paladin after seeing you rush out.

"I don't know, we were just asking questions but the moment he mentioned her family, she bolted out." Shiro said looking in the direction you disappeared.

"Is she gonna be okay?" Hunk walked over to them with Piged and Keith right behind him.

"I'm not sure. Maybe we should give her a bit of time." Shiro suggested.

"Or maybe you should go talk to her?" Lance suggested looking towards Pidge. Everyone turned to look in his direction with questioning expressions. "What?" He asked honestly not understanding.

"You think I should go talk to her? Not you?" Pidge crossed her petite arms over her chest with an eyebrow raised.

"Well yeah, even I know when not to be flirty."

"That's a first." Keith muttered.

"Alright then, Pidge, you're up." Shiro gave her a small pat on the back before she left.

Pidge walked down the hall and went to your room first. She knocked on the door and it automatically slid open and you were just sitting there.

"Tough day?" She asked. You nodded your head.

"Come on in." You said and she did just that.

"I'm sorry, you know, about your family." You let go of your legs and stretched them out.

"It's fine." Was all you could think about saying.

"At least you've got us?" Pidge raised her eyebrows making you let out a small chuckle.

"Yeah, if there's one good thing that came out of all of this, it's meeting all of you." You reached over and gave her a hug.

"So are we working with Lotor?" She asked.

"I think we are, so far everything he's said was true, we'll just have to keep an eye on him." It was nice to have Pidge around, you two didn't talk much but she was still a great company. "Thanks." You said after the moment of silence.

"No problem, what are friends for?" Pidge gave you a big smile, making her glasses move up. All of a sudden you two were started when you heard an alarm coming from Pidges watch.

"Oh! The test must be done!" She exclaimed. You chuckled seeing her excited.

"Another modification?" You said as she stood up.

"Yeah! Bellox helped me out and we're testing out some new codes in my Lion!" It made you smile seeing her so ecstatic.

"Go on, finish it up." You gave her a nudge and she quickly made her way down the halls. You laughed and left your room as well.

Wait, why is Bellox only helping her out with modifying her Lion and not mine!

You pouted and didn't notice Keith walking your way.

"Y/n?" Keith's sudden voice made you jump a bit.

"Yeah?" Your voice came out softly at first but you coughed to get it back to normal.

"Oh, I just wanted to know if you were okay." He scratched the back of his head embarrassed. "You can really be stubborn sometimes." He added. You couldn't help but crack a smile.

"I must have learned that from you when I was a kid." You joked. Keith squinted his eyes at you.

"Me? Hey, let's not forget how much of a crybaby you were." He smirked.

"Oh! look at that, emo boys' smiling!" You couldn't contain your laughter at your comment making Keith's smirk fall into an annoyed expression.

"Emo?!" Before he could even defend himself, you started running away and noticed him running right behind you. "Can't run away from me!" Keith teased. 

You kept trying to prove him wrong and kept running until you noticed the pool room was coming up around the corner and dashed inside. Keith turned the corner to rush in but you were nowhere to be found.

"Come out come out where ever you are!" Keith sang and he walked under the pool as it swooshed over his head.

You zoomed past him and locked something in his wrist.

"What the?" Suddenly Keith felt himself go weightless and 'fell' into the pool.

He swam up and gasped for air and whipped his head around to find the culprit. You were now laughing your head off on the ground watching Keith look so confused.

"Okay, maybe sometimes I act like a kid." You said with a smirk.

"How the hell did I get up here?!" Keith questioned looking for some kind of button to get him down.

"Anti-gravity bracelet."

"And why aren't you floating too?" He asked as he pulled his hair back and out of his face.

"Cause mine is the central control and I set it to 'others' and not 'user' so with a simple flick of my wrist," You demonstrated by doing so and Keith started falling back to the ground with a loud thud. "I can make anyone go in or out of the pool." You said leaning over Keith who was flat on the ground.

"Yeah, I can see that." Keith was about to get up but you flicked your wrist to 'others' again to make him go back up but he caught hold of your wrist making him float in the air. "If I'm falling in, so are you!" He chuckled. You tried to make him let go but he just wouldn't!

"Fine then." You were going to switch the bracelet to 'user' but slipped up since it got wet and set it to 'everyone' now the both of you were falling but Keith made sure he was the one to get the full impact.

You gasped for air once you reached the top. You started pulling your hair out of your face only to see that Keith wasn't up yet. Your eyes went wide.

"Keith?" You said looking left and right. "Keith!? KEI- AH"! You were suddenly pulled underwater and you opened your eyes to see him smiling as he held his breath. But eventually you two had to go back up for air.

"I could have drowned!" You yelled at him.

"And letting me fall to the ground could have killed me!" He argued back.

"Fair enough."

"Woah! You got it to work!" You saw Lance and the others at the door.

"Yeah! Go get your swimsuits and join us!" You shouted back at them. They nodded in agreement and left as quickly as they came. Your attention back to the red paladin.

"This isn't over!" You said as you dived. Keith immediately went back into the water and started swimming away. You tried your best to catch up with him but surprisingly, he was a good swimmer.

You were still underwater and somehow lost view of him. The pool seemed small from afar but it's actually pretty deep and huge. You turned left and right but caught no sight of him.

Did he get out?

No...He's planning something.

You kept your guard up but then you noticed there was one place you weren't looking.

Your eyes widened seeing Keith had already taken ahold of your feet taking you further down. You tried kicking free but you were running out of air and calmed down. Once again Keith was out of sight.

How does he do that?!

You looked up and down but Keith was always behind you snickering at how helpless you looked. But in one moment you whipped your head back and you two were face to face.

You were smiling seeing that you finally found him but Keith surprised you by giving you a kiss.

You were utterly shocked and didn't know what to do. He then pulled back but his eyes were closed. He then opened one eye hoping you weren't extremely angry at him. But you would just float there.

Keith blinked a few times but you did nothing, he was getting worried and wondered if he really just ruin everything by doing that.

Your hands then went to your neck and you let out the last air bubble you had. Keith then understood and took your hand to pull you back up.

Thankfully he made it in time and you two were gasping for air.

You both were just staring at each other as you two tried to control your breathing.

All of a sudden there was a huge splash of water.

"Alright! Finally, we get to use the pool!" Lance shouted happily feeling the cool water on his skin after so long.

You and Keith were still trying to process what just happened while Pidge and Hunk splashed their way into the pool.

"This feels great!" Hunk said as he shook his head like a dog to get his hair out of his face. "So, what did I miss?"
