Chapter One

Was she worth it? I like to believe she was. I prefer to pretend that she was just as hot as my drunken mind had me believe. But the headache Blair’s giving me is almost just as bad as the hangover I had the morning after my little fling. And when I try to recall Friday’s event, all I can remember is a very mediocre blonde.

Definitely not worth all this drama…

But it’s too late for regret now- the damage is already done. Well, actually, it’s just about to happen; Blair’s got her hand ready in ‘bitch slap’ modus. My eyes widen, and my reflexes fail me. Before I can duck away, her hand strikes my cheek. Hard.

“Fuuuuck” I cry out, bringing my hand to my sore cheek.

She looks smug. Satisfied and angry, but most of all hurt.

I’m not a complete asshole, I feel sorry for her, “I’m sorry, okay! I was drunk.” The standard excuse, but the honest one, “It didn’t mean anything.”

She scoffs, “Just as our relationship, obviously.”

Relationship? We were dating, sure, but we were never official, and frankly, I don’t think I even ever wanted to be. “That’s not true, babe.” I tell her nevertheless.

“Don’t you dare ‘babe’ me!” she yells, pointing a finger at me angrily, “We’re over! Finished. Done! We’re never getting-”

“Back together?” I finish for her, “Well, alright Taylor Swift, whatever you want.”

“You’re a dick,” she states angrily before storming off- slamming the door as she goes. When I hear the front and car door fall shut with a bang as well, I grab my phone and text Luke as I head downstairs.

I’m coming over, bitch. Prepare for my wrath.

Admittedly though, I’m not even that angry at him; even though he’s a fucking snitch, he’s also like the brother I’ve never had- the kind that can do stupid stuff to you, but secretly love too much to stay angry at.

“You little fucker.” I tell him, smacking him against the back of the head as soon as he opens the door.

I walk past him, and ignore his whining, and start whining myself as I head to the kitchen, “Why’d you have to tell her, man?”

I was planning on telling her myself. It would have been better coming from me. But he had to tell his sister, who happens to be Blair’s best friend. So of course, she blabbed it to her, making me look like an even bigger asshole.

“I just blurted it out. I don’t even know. Guess we’re both stupid.” A smirk forms on his lips, “You’re more stupid, though. I mean, Blair is a great girl, and you majorly fucked up.”

I shrug and head to the fridge, grabbing a pack of juice and taking a glas out of the cupboard. They haven’t gone as far as giving me the key to this place, but they might as well- it’s practically my second home.

“You don’t even feel bad about all this?”

“Sure I do.” Blair was quite the catch, with a cute little body and a pretty face. But our ‘relationship’ was purely superficial. She was hot, and therefore, I dated her. I’m pretty sure same goes for her-it couldn’t have been my loving personality, at least.

She did look genuinely upset though...

“You gonna try to get her back, then?” Luke asks me as I push myself on the counter.

“Nah.” There’s no use in trying. Like she said, we’re over, and the fact that that doesn’t even really bother me, is indication enough that it’s for the better.
