"Dad.. it's been five hours and Mommy isn't back yet.." Luna groaned out and Natsu gritted his teeth, trying to focus on tonight's dinner.

He wore one of Lucy's apron, standing behind a stove while shaking a burning pot.

"Dad.. are you sure you can make dinner?" Luke asked who sat by the dinner table with his starving siblings. "I want meat!" Igneel cheered, clapping in joy.

"Of course I can make dinner!" Natsu returned to the burning pieces of chicken on the frying pan and sweat dropped.

"What am I doing wrong here? They're always burning dammit!" the father snapped. He later turned off the stove and walked towards the table with the pan in his hand. He groaned at his children who were expressing starvation on their faces.

"Here's dinner"

"Yay!" they all held their knives and forks in hand as their father dropped the frying pan on the table and folded his arms. "I did my best"

Luna's mouth opened in shock and Luke groaned. "Yay! burned meat!" Igneel took hold of a burnt thigh and chummed on it. "Yummy.."

"Dad.." Natsu turned to Luna who facepalmed herself, "This is not how Mom does it.."

"Then how would I know? Who told her to just go her merry way, she could at least said something before going you know" Natsu crossed his arms and looked elsewhere.

"I'm not eating this" Luke pushed his chair back and walked towards the kitchen, "I'm going to eat some snacks for dinner instead" he mumbled.

"It isn't that bad Luke" Natsu grumbled.

"Mom never makes burnt meat for dinner Daddy" Luke said from in the kitchen. "It isn't that bad- I'm telling you" "Then why.." Luna shifted the pan towards Natsu "..don't you eat it daddy?"

Natsu shrugged, "Like I wouldn't eat my own meal-tch" he picked up the darkest, crispiest piece of chicken before popping it in his mouth. He chummed on it and Igneel laughed at his father's nasty face expression.

"I get your point.." Natsu mumbled.

The front door opened and the three watched as Nashi walked inside, closing the door behind her.

She later walked in the dining room, holding a family sized box of pizza. "Sorry I'm late Dad but that mission was something else. I took down ten evil villians today and Storm took down twelve. Isn't that amazing" Nashi announced, smiling at Luna.

"You bring pizza!" Luna smiled as Nashi dropped the box on the table, over Natsu's dish.

"Pizza? Where?!" Luke ran out the kitchen and almost tore open the box in hunger. "Hey I want five slices!" Luna yelled as Luke stuffed his face.

Natsu stayed silent and Nashi sighed.

"We got our reward and I decided to buy pizza with some of it. I'll save the rest in my room" Natsu just eyed her.

"When are you going to talk to me Dad?"

"I can smell him all over you.. you did it didn't you?"

Nashi's eyes widened.

"Huh?"

The front door opened again and a giggling Lucy entered, "I'm home everyone!"

"We're in here!" Luke called, taking the slice Luna was about to grasp.

Lucy entered the room and smiled when she saw her family. "Hey you guys.. Nashi you're back" Lucy smiled and Nashi gave her a slight smile, nervously rubbing her arms as Natsu stared at her.

"I can see you had a rough day, was the mission too hard?" Lucy asked in worry.

"Uh.. yeah.. it was a bit difficult so uh.. now could you excuse me.. I'm gonna go wash the day's work off of me- see ya!" Nashi ran off, passing her mother on the way.

Natsu shook his head, grumbling words to himself.

He turned to Lucy and raised his brow, "Where did you disappeared to and why are you so happy?"

"Well..'' Lucy dropped the grey bags she were holding on the floor and announced, "Levy and I decided to do some shopping today. Shopping always help with my stress"

"Did you buy me anything?" Luna smiled when her mother nodded, "Yay!"

"Save some pizza for me, I'm starve" Lucy walked towards the table and held a slice "Is it just me or am I smelling something burning?" "It's Dad, he tried making dinner tonight"

Lucy turned to Natsu and he shrugged.

Luna lifted the pizza box and Lucy viewed the frying pan filled with different pieces of burnt chicken. "Gross.." the sight of it made Lucy want to hurl.

Matter of fact.. she did wanted to hurl.

She quickly covered her mouth and ran off in the kitchen.

"Come on it isn't that bad" Natsu sweat dropped.

The Next Day

Nashi rolled over on the left side of the bed, scratching her right arm as she slept uncomfortably. She rolled again and again in her sleep, groaning in uncomfort.

"Hello Aunty, is Storm home?" Juvia smiled and nodded her head, allowing Nashi into her home. "Thanks, I just brought a gift in town for him. I know how much he likes ice so-"

"Oh don't tell me the gift darling. Let it be a surprise and I'm sure there's a surprise of your own"

"Really? Storm brought me something too? Oh thanks for telling me!"

Nashi ran upstairs in excitement and towards Storm's bedroom door. She balled her hand into a fist and was going to knock but a voice made her stop her movements half-way.

"Storm.. stop.." it sounded like a female.. sort of a familiar voice..

Nashi pushed opened the door and furrowed her brows at the sight.

Storm gasped, laying half naked on his back and the person sat on top his stomach was no other than Emily.

"Hi.. adult"

Nashi sat up straight on bed, panting from that nightmare. She held her forehead as she tried catching her breath. What did she just dream?

She was sweaty..

"You're up" a voice said and Nashi screamed when she saw Natsu sitting on a chair in the corner of her room. He sipped his mug as he observed his panting daughter.

"Bad dream?"

Nashi shook her head, looking elsewhere. "Why are you lying-" "Since when did you care if I had a bad dream or not" she snapped at him. "I will always care if you had a bad dream Nashi" he simply stated.

"Well you don't act like you care Dad. You're always cold to me"

"You know my reasons for being the way I am darling-" "Dad not this again.." "Not what again didn't you wanted us to talk?" "You won't drop it would you"

"Drop what?" "Don't play dumb. I am not breaking up with Storm if that's what you're trying to ask. I loooove him" Natsu raised his brow at her before standing up.

He walked towards her and Nashi eyed him through the darkness of her room, "Have a good night sweety" he ruffled her hair before walking out the door.

Nashi sighed when she was alone. She turned to her alarm clock that read 3:12 am. She wondered how long her father was watching her sleep.. that was weird but it didn't surprised her.

Natsu was a man of doing the crazy.

Lucy turned when the bedroom door was slowly pushed opened. She softly sighed with relief when she figured it was only Natsu.

"Hey.. I heard Nashi scream.. is she alright?"

"Yeah.. she was just surprised that's all. Now go back to sleep Luce" he laid down besides her on their bed and turned his back to her. Lucy sighed at the act.

"Natsu.."

"Mm.."

"Come closer.."

"Mm.."

"Can you please come closer and snuggle up with me. I'm cold.."

He laid flat on his back and turned to her "I'm afraid I'll hurt the baby" he mumbled. "No you won't just.. come" Lucy smiled.

He shrugged before going close to her. Lucy smiled as she wrapped her arms around him. His body gave her the warmth her body needed and that relieved her. She only wished he'd return to the man he was a year ago.

"I love you Natsu.." Lucy whispered.

When he didn't respond, she looked up and groaned when she saw him snoring instead.

He fell asleep just like that?!

Waking up that morning, Lucy found no Natsu sleeping besides her...
