Chapter three
Gun mod. Boat mod. Blue above. Play music
Blue's P.O.V
I awoke to screaming. It was Sky. She was screaming in her sleep. I turned to her wincing. I scooted myself over to her. I grabbed her and placed her legs across mine.
She was still asleep but she wasn't screaming. I laid her head on my good side and looked over at Jackson who was now on watch. He stared at us peacefully.
When he caught my eye he smiled genially. I smiled back and turned to Rye. He was sound asleep. He was built larger than me, but I was quicker than him. I looked to my left and the sun was rising. We had to go soon.
I hoped Rye and Jackson would come.
Well Rye would come at no hesitation. But Jackson was different. He would hesitate. It wouldn't just be an. Ummm.
It would be an Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
That's how Jackson is.
The sun came up higher after an hour or so and I stood up. Sky had already moved to a different position.
I walked over to Jackson,"Hey Jacks-"
"I will stay until you no longer need me." He spoke with a small amount of annoyance, but straight forward.
"How did-"
"I did."
"Well."
"I will Blue."
"That's new," I said,"are you sure? You're usually unsure."
"I'm sure Blue." Jackson replied.
"Good!" I said happily. I turned and made my way over to Rye.
' that's unusual ' I thought.
I shook Rye a couple of times before he decided to move.
"Yes?" He had Dragon Breath. It was so bad I strained myself not to gag.
"Are you going to stay and come with Sky, Jackson and I?" I asked him.
"I... yea." He said drifting back to sleep. I shook him. He popped up.
"Yea?"
"Get up if you're coming." I said. He grumbled and stood.
"I never signed up for waking up early. Two days in a row." He said walking over to his backpack. I pushed myself up with one arm and made my way over to Sky.
Shaking her she awoke as if she saw a ghost. When she saw it was me she calmed.
"You okay?" I asked.
"Just... a nightmare." She said. I nodded.
"We better get going." I replied holding out my hand. She gripped it and pulled herself up. I knelt down,"M'lady." I said trying to lighten the mood.
She laughed and did a ' female bow.' "My knight." She smiled. I laughed and we walked over to our backpacks.
Opening mine I pulled out some bread that I guess was old. I don't remember packing it.
There was no mold though so...
I tore off a piece. It was soft. I noticed it was also a bit warm.
Did someone put this in my backpack?
I ate the piece and it tasted delicious!
I tore off more and offered it to Sky, Rye and Jackson. They all accepted. I looked in my backpack again. Nothing was stolen. But there were two more loafs.
Weird
I didn't think much of it though. I mean free food right?
What if it's poisoned? That slipped my mind. But it was to late now. If there was any bad things that would happen to us, then we won't eat the other pieces of bread.
I stood up. We were all ready. We started going West, away from the village and my house. I was worried. But I know we'll be okay.
There was light blue in the distance.
"What is that?" I asked the others.
"Looks like the Sky. Pun intended!" Rye said. I looked at him.
A derpy smile was crossed on his face. What is with this dude?
"It... looks like... water?" Jackson said.
We made our way to it.
"I've never seen this before." Sky commented.
"Me either." I replied. As we got closer I almost slipped on mud.
"You okay?" Rye asked.
"Yea." I said.
As we neared there was a dock. There was a medium sized boat.
"I want off this island." Sky said.
I turned to Rye. He smiled.
Jackson. He looked worried.
"Please guys?" I asked.
"I'll steer." Rye said pushing between Sky and I. He mounted the boat.
"Rye that's stealing." Jackson said.
"I'll send it back."
"How?"
"I dunno I'll push it."
"That's not going to work Rye." Sky butted in.
"Not at all." I said.
"You want off this island, no?" He asked. I sighed and got on with him.
"Blue?" I turned to Sky. She looked frightened and confused.
"I don't want to get hit anymore." I said.
She looked at Jackson and mounted the boat, along with my help. We all looked at him. A sigh escaped and his shoulders slouched but he got on.
"Let's go." Rye said grabbing the wheel.
I cut the lines to the sail. Letting them spread. I tie the bottoms, giving a bit of slack.
"Ready." I called. Rye nodded. He started going. I jerked back a bit not knowing he was going to start so soon, but I stood full and went to him.
Leaning on the rail I watched the mountains slowly pass by.
My hood flew back but it felt nice to be able to know, that no one was going to judge me.
The breeze caressed my cheeks while the water smacked me. Finally I got annoyed at it and went to the bottom portion of the boat.
The ' girls ' were down here. I mean Jackson was a wimp, right? He acts like a girl at least. Always scared. He needs to man up. I mean Sky isn't even that bad!
If I was having to escape the house with Jackson it would take a lot of hard work!
Not really work but cooperation. He would take lots of cooperation.
"What's going on down here?" I asked.
"We're chilling. Who's boat do you think this is?" Sky replied. I shrugged.
"Do you think they've noticed it's gone?" Jackson asked. I turned to him. He was stuffing his mouth with peanuts.
"Jackson!" I scowled. He spit them in another trash can.
"Jackson stop being gross!" Sky said. He smiled and gave a mini wave. He spit the rest out, wiped his face with his sleeve, and sat down.
I stared at him and gave him the ' Did you really just do that ' look.
He smiled and shrugged. I rolled my eyes and went back to the top.
"I'm okay Blue. I don't need company." Rye said turning back to look at me.
"Where are we going?" I asked.
"Oh I know this amazing place called Bright Port." He said.
I nodded,"You know exactly where it is?"
He nodded and turned back around. I sighed and went to the bottom again. All this walking!
I laid on a second couch and looked out of a window. It was sunset. I set my head down and went to sleep.
