I'm home alone today because my dad has meetings and my sister and mom are still out of town at my grandmas house, so I've been blasting YouTube videos to loudly and cursing when I stubbed my toe on my door. So rebellious. Also had practice this morning and it was hard so that's nice. We did fast average choice (free or non free) and I was forced to do breaststroke. Like?? Who do you think I am?? I wanted to do freestyle?? Why?? So I died the whole way and took a giant L. I held 1:22. That is not a good thing for me. That is bad thing for me. Bad. Then we did a "recovery set". Funny joke coach dad. Funny joke. We did 2 200 frees on 2:50 (I'm not good so that's kinda hard to do after a fast average set.) and then 2 100 kicks on 1:55 (that was actually not hard) but we did that 3 times and I was so done because I do not enjoy 200 frees. THEN we did this kick set. It was interesting. Basically, you had to hold 1 second under half of your fast average kick time. If anyone didn't do that, we had to make up one 50. So I have a 1:23 which is old and I could pretty easily hold a :39 for most of the thing. But other people couldn't do half their times and we were going to do 2 make ups. Then coach dad said "if one swimmer can go a 40 then we don't have to do a make up but I won't say what swimmer" and it turns out this girl did it and I was shocked because she had been holding 42s so that was nice. Then bonus "if one swimmer can go a 41 then you get out of one" and that girl did it too. Then we got out of 3 more because "if one swimmer can go a 38 then we get out of the rest" so I went a 37 but it turns out it was my friend who is usually in my lane and he is that guy who I talk to a lot I'll just call him Jordan from now on. And Jordan went a 36 and that was interesting because he had been holding 40s and so we got out of the rest. Tonight I have to go to this thing with my dad's side of the family and they are not the best people to be around so that'll be nice. Okay have a good day everyone.
