Chapter 21

As promised Niall and I have gone out for a beach day and ice cream. I decided it was best to go back to my home beach and eat at my families restaurant seeing as I should support them.

That is why Niall and I are standing on the edge of the beach in the trees as I debate how I'm going to tell them I'm back for only a week.

"Ready to go?" Niall asks.

I clear my throat and nod. We begin down the beach and I hide slightly behind Niall as we approach the building I'm all to familiar with.

I walk inside to see my mother hosting as usual.

"Hi mum.." I mumble.

"L-Landa? You came back? I've missed you." My mother says with tears falling down her cheek.

"I'm only back for a week.. I'm on your with this boy -Niall and his band." I introduce them.

"Oh.." My mother says looking down. "Would you like a booth or a table?" She gets out two menus and I give her an apologetic look before Niall tells her that we want a booth.

"Mum.. Can I speak with you and dad.. In private?" I ask.

"We are working right now.. You can tonight.. I hope you will be coming for dinner. You and the people you are staying with." Mum says before leaving.

I sigh and look across the booth to Niall, "sorry about that."

"It's okay! So shall I text the boys that we will be having dinner with your family?" Niall asks.

"Yes please." I smile and already know what I'm going to order.

After lunch all the boys met us at the beach outside the place I use to call my home. I remove my beach dress carefully making sure my bikini doesn't show anything unwanted. I fix the bathing suit a bit a look up to see Harry starring at me.

I blush and hide my rosy cheeks and walk towards the water where Louis and Niall are laughing and splashing about.

"Hey guys." I smile and they return the greeting.

"Looks like Harreh has his eyes on you." Louis winks and I choke on air as he nods in Harry's direction. I blush as I notice Harry watching me like his prey.

"Louis..." I say skeptically before I look back and see Harry trudging towards us.

I run into the water and take a dive. I swim as fast as I can and peak my head up. I see a laser coming in my direction and Harry shouting for me. I laugh and notice it says, 'Two Monsters'.

No way!

"Jake!! Jake!!" I shout and he slows the boat down and puts it into the wind. Jake is my best friend he left a few years back for school. Lucky guy.

"Hey there little devil.. What are you doing home?" He asks.

"I could be asking you the same thing." I giggle. I turn to see Harry coming out to me and I quickly add, "Let's talk more on the boat yah."

"Climb on." He laughs.

I climb on the boat and grab the main sheet and rudder bringing us out of our stopped state. I sail us farther away from Harry and begin to do figure eights.

"So.." Jake says and I yell tacking as we tack.

"Sorry.. That dude over there.. Uhmm.. I am the opening act of his band's concerts." I smile.

"No way!" He says and I nod excitedly.

"Yes way." I smile.

"I always knew you'd be able to live your dream." He says.

"Oh yah.. It wasn't easy though." I say and he nods in understanding.

"I bet.. Anyway-" Jake ducks as we go under the mast doing a turn. We switch sides and I pull the main sheet some more so we pick up speed and can lean out, "Anyways.. Remember saving up all the money to get this boat?"

"Yep!" I smile.

"Wanna tell me how you actually for 500$?" He asks.

"I stole some from the people on the yachts." I mumble.

"I knew it!" He laughs.

"Oh c'mon.. I barely made any money at the restaurant.. Plus all that money went to school." I say and he nods smirking at me.

"What?" I ask as we take another turn.

"Your so predictable.." He smiles taking my face in. "You really did change over the past 4 years."

I take a turn towards the shore before saying, "Yah... I hope it's for the better." I laugh.

"Definitely for the best." He says softly and I feel awkwardness take over me as I feel his eyes on me.

"Thanks.." I blush and I turn to see he's leaning towards me. When his lips are close to mine I pull on the main sheet as much as possible and make us capsize. We fall in, in between the mast and the boat. I quickly swim around to the bottom of the boat and climb onto the daggerboard and see Harry staring at me with sadness and anger.

Hey! I stopped the kiss from happening. He should thank me?

I bounce on the daggerboard lightly until the boat rolls back over and I climb onto the main part. I help Jake on and pull the main sheet in enough to have us moving towards shore. I pull up the daggerboard when we reach shore and it slides right up. I pull on the rope connected to the tip of the front of the boat and pull it up when Jake gets off. I pull it to the side of my old house. I go inside ignoring everyone and head straight to my old room. I take some spare clothes to the washroom and wash up. I dry off afterwards and I put on an old shirt, bra, underwear and some old sweats. I dry my hair through quickly and head out to the kitchen. I see Niall and Harry there chatting and I wave shortly.

"What the hell happened out there Landa." Harry growls.

I raise my hands I duck my head feeling ashamed, for what? I don't know.

"You had to go and kiss the bastard?! What were you thinking? Your dating me!" Harry shouts and I shrink myself.

"Harry mate.. Stop." Niall says.

"What? You think I am going to-"

I cut Harry off, "You think I did that to you? You think I would just go and kiss another guy? No Harry I'm faithful. Why do you think I capsized the boat? You think that just happened? No. Jake is my best friend and I wouldn't betray you." I walk out of the room angry with Harry and decide I am going to take a walk down the beach before dinner.
