In the shadow of war
Living a life, all in vain,
Why don’t you feel their pain?
Attaining neutrality in matters of great severity—
Is their blood a little less red?
Bitter truths need to be said.
Youth, old, children—all have died.
How difficult it is for a father to bury his own child.
I wonder, wouldn’t God do something, like the rest?
But how can I forget—the teacher is always silent during the test.
