💕Fairytail: FreedJustine x Reader! Part 1💔

𝓦𝓱𝓮𝓷 𝓽𝓱𝓮 𝓛𝓲𝓰𝓱𝓽 𝓶𝓮𝓮𝓽𝓼 𝓽𝓱𝓮 𝓓𝓪𝓻𝓴! - Short Story!

Walking up to the building site you notice all the members of Fairytail working hard to rebuild their guildhall. Rumour was that a dark guild Phantom Lord had gone to an all-out war with them. Calling them weak, but from what you had heard on the grapevine Fairytail won, but even so, their guildhall was destroyed in the process.

Your name was (f/n) (l/n), your form of magic was rune and light magic. The rune magic was inspired for your love of reading and the light was the fact you were able to find goodness in the darkest times.

Being from a small village you were overwhelmed by the town of Magnolia since you saved all your money from the little job you'd had and you had decided it was time to leave the village behind. Looking for new adventures and helping those in more need than yourself.

"Hello there, can I help you?" hearing a sweet voice calling out to you, made you look up, to see none other than Mira-Jane. Internally you were freaking out like a fangirl at the meeting the white-haired beauty in the flesh. Mira was a regular in the wizard's magazine 'Sorcerer Weekly'.

"Oh, hello sorry. Ermm I was looking to join Fairytail...I didn't know who to speak to... But I'm like a massive fan of yours Mira-Jane!" clearly your internal freak out was leaking out as you turned the colour of a tomato. It was so embarrassing as usually, you weren't the loudest person, due to your nose was usually buried in a book.

"That's great to hear...are you the sweetest!" Mira-Jane was a kind, loving woman who was kind to everyone she met. "Sorry it's a bit of a mess at the moment, as you can tell were in the process of a rebuild!" the white-haired mage smiled at you, as you returned the smile with your own.

"I understand...I would love to help re-build the guildhall if there is anything I can do to help?" you give her your most hard-working thumbs up.

"Aren't you adorable. Come this way and I'll introduce you to the master then." the curvy woman walked you over to a small old man wearing an orange and blue outfit. As he introduces himself as Master Makarov, who you know to be one of the 'Ten Wizard Saints'.

Next thing you know you have a green Fairytail emblem on your hand, and you're helping them to build. You weren't half bad at helping to rebuild since your village was only small and houses needed repairing all the time, you would always get stuck in and lend a helping hand.

"Hey, you must be the new recruit. I'm Natsu Dragneel and this is Happy!" you turn to see a tall slender but still very toned boy with salmon pink hair wearing a big smile and a blue cat.

"Oh, hey I'm (f/n) (l/n), it's lovely to meet you!" you smile sweetly back at them.

"OI FLAME BRAIN...STOP HARASSING THE NEWBIE!" The yell makes you turn to the direction it was coming from to see a half-naked boy with black hair walking towards you.

"MAKE ME POPSICLE PERV!" Natsu yells back in insult before making his fists set on fire. Before they can even fight though a red-haired woman bangs both their heads together.

"Would you two behave and get back to work!" she snarled at them making them pretend to go back to work and acting all friendly with each other but scowls on their faces when the woman in question turned to face you.

"Sorry about Gray and Natsu. I'm Erza Scarlet." she shakes your hand, with such a firm grip and you'd heard of Erza also went by another name in the guild as well, 'Titania Queen of the Fairies'.

"Nice to meet you. I'm (f/n) (l/n)," you smile a little scared of how fierce and ruthless she was with the two guys.

"Hey (F/n), I'm Lucy and the half-naked guy is Gray," a busty blonde girl with the kindest brown eyes walks up to you.

"Well, I'm sure Master will hold a party once we're rebuilt but please if you need anything, speak to us." Erza states before going back to work.

After a week or so the guild is rebuilt, and you'd been stopping in a hotel for a few nights whilst looking for your own accommodation. In the end, Lucy introduces you to her landlord and you rent the flat under Lucy's at 70,000 jules a month. The Master then throws a party in honour of the new guildhall but also on your arrival as a new recruit.

The more you spent time within Fairytail the happier you were, but when you find out the guild had a massive library full of books and you end up spending most of your time there on your own with your nose in a book if you weren't out on a job.

"(f/n) you're always reading. You're as bad as Levy and Lucy!" Natsu complained loudly, however, you ignored him until you finished your chapter. It wasn't uncommon for someone to speak to you only to wait for you to answer them once you'd finished the chapter you were so focused on.

"Sorry Natsu, I just love to learn things, don't you?" you smiled sweetly, already knowing what the fire mage would say.

"Nope...I love to fight, eat and sleep!" he laughed whilst Lucy rolled her eyes at his answer. You had found out from the tiny bluette, book worm, Levy that Lucy was actually writing a novel. Which in turn you'd made her promise that once Levy had read it, you would read it second.

After a few weeks, it was as if you had always been a part of the guild although you were always learning new things and that there were more members to the guild. Laxus, Gildarts, Mystogan and the Thunder Legion. Rumour was that one of them also used rune magic like you, so in excitement, you couldn't wait to question them on their skills.

"So... (f/n) are you going to participate in the Miss Fairytail Beauty Contest?" you looked at the celestial wizard.

"Don't think so, I wouldn't win!" you smile kindly, but you had the look in your eyes that showed you were interested.

"You never know, all the girls are entering." Lucy pleaded with her chocolate coloured puppy dog eyes.

"Fine!" Huffing in defeat since if everyone was in it, then it wouldn't be long until Erza was on your case.

"Brilliant more competition!" the voice hadn't surprised you when you looked over to see Ezra eating some strawberry cake. The redhead was competitive, and you hoped it didn't involve fighting, as against Erza you would lose. After all, she was one of the S-Class wizards.

With that decision made, a few days later it was the day of the competition. The outfit of choice was a white little dress and a halo, this way you could use you light magic angel wings spell.

It was all going well, as you looked onto your competition knowing full well you wouldn't win but it was worth a shot. Then all of a sudden you weren't sure what was happening as your whole body began to go solid and stiff. Then the last thing you saw was eyes of a brown-haired woman as she cast a petrification spell on you and the other women of Fairytail.

Whilst the show was going on Evergreen of the Thunder Legion had turned all the woman to stone. Laxus was threatening to break you all if his grandfather didn't quit and make him the next guild master. Freed the rune mage had also set up barriers all around Magnolia, to make all the wizards fight against each other. It was a mess not that you knew any of this within you petrified state.

For some reason Natsu and Gajeel couldn't leave the guild as well as Makarov, so Natsu being Natsu tried to melt the stone on Erza. The thing was because of her fake eye, it actually worked freeing the fiery redhead, who went straight to Evergreen to break the spell on the rest of the girls.

Thank Merlin though she beat the female member of the Thunder Legion ending the spell on you all!

"What happened?" you looked around at the now empty guildhall, well apart from the two dragon slayers, the girls and the master. The Master then filled in the girls, who all began to run into the city to try and stop the madness. Meanwhile, Levy and you stayed behind to try to break the enchantment on the building. That way the two remaining Dragon Slayers would have a chance of taking down Laxus.

"Levy, I think you've got this. I'll go out into the city to break any other enchantments that may be hiding the Thunder Legion or Laxus!" having never met these four people but they weren't giving you the best first impression. Already you weren't a fan!

"Great idea my girl, go see what madness my grandson is causing! Levy will get these two out and be safe!" Master said with a concerned look on his face, but he also looked tired.

"I will, stay safe guys!" as you called as you ran out, heading towards to edge of town to make sure no block had been put on an escape for the townspeople.

However, unlike the rest of the guild, you could see if an enchantment had been set in a particulate area or not, making it easy for you to avoid any conflict. Knowing walking would be slower, you decided to use your wings to go over buildings. Townspeople thought you looked adorable in your angel dress and halo, but you hadn't had a chance to change.

Just as your about to make your way to the edge of town you see Cana and Juvia go down to a green-haired man. Having never seen him before, you assumed he must be one of your current enemies.

Although you could see Mira with Elfman making their way towards them, however, with your wings you would be quicker. Swooping down you made the green-haired mage jump in slight shock from whatever he was doing to Cana.

"LEAVE HER ALONE!" Scream with such anger, you pick her limp body up and place her next to Juvia, who had also taken a beating.

Summoning your short sword, you place yourself in front of the two fallen mages. "Light Écriture: Heal!" you say making the green-haired mage snicker at your words.

"Oh my! Light magic please!" His tone was gentlemanly, but what he was doing was far from it. It made you turn and glare at him.

"What the hell is your problem? Whoever you are?" Striding towards him, with pure rage in your (e/c) eyes, the man in question couldn't deny that he found you beautiful, but you were his enemy.

"(f/n), don't!" Mira calls you but you weren't backing down from this fight. The handsome, green-haired man had caused harm to your friends, and fellow guildmates and in your eyes had to pay for his wrongdoings.

"You need to focus on the barriers and undoing enchantments!" Mire shouted out, trying to get you out of your trance of rage that you were currently in.

"Breaking my enchantments? Please, you're delusional Mira-Jane, this girl is weak..." the man couldn't finish his insult, as you slap him hard across the face. The man clearly didn't know you, but he had no right belittling your power and speaking to Mira-Jane, the kindest woman you'd ever know the way he was.

"I'm a Fairytail Wizard. I will do anything for my guild and my light, will always beat your dark!" Smirking as you looked up at the tall, slender but handsome man.

"How dare you strike me?" he glares back, his blue eyes staring daggers straight into your soul.

"How dare you strike your guildmates, thinking you're better than them. I don't know you, but I can tell you're an asshole. Just like that Laxus, whoever the hell he thinks he is!" Snapping back in retaliation at the man, which clearly send him into a fury at the mention of his friend being bad-mouthed by someone who didn't know him.

"How dare you speak of Laxus in that way!" Slapping you back across your own face. It was hard but you stood your ground, unwilling to back down from the bully in front of you. "You don't know anything. I have been in Fairytail longer than a weakling like you," That was the final straw, you'd had enough, you're about to unleash your fury upon the man, when you feel a hand on your shoulder.

"(F/n) go, me and Mira will take care of this. You need to be a man and protect the town. You're their guardian angel right now!" Elfman looks to the green-haired man, never taking his eyes off him.

"Please, this cretin could never be an angel. More like a lady of the night dressing like that!" the rune mage commented, making you look in shock at the hurtful words that seemed to of cut you deeper than the hit across your face. A tear rolled down your eye before flying off without another word in your defence.
