Picture: Mason Tomkins

Xzavier's POV:

"Ashton Bellavance," I mumble as I search him up, my eyes widening when I find countless article after article. Man abducts teens, uses them for pleasure. Twenty four year old rapes twenty minors.

Thirteen year old boy, pushed to suicide by rape, kidnap, and abuse.

Twenty missing children and teens, found, both dead AND alive.

Los Angeles, California, man houses sixteen adults and teens, five dead bodies. Constantly have raped and molested them all, along with several other crimes such as abuse, abduction...

I clamp a hand over my mouth, nearly crying. Poor Mason! Who would do something this bad? It shows some pictures, showing inside his house, and a couple of the victims. I nearly vomit as I see a lifeless thirteen year old, and then countless other teens with bruises all over their bodies. I watch Mason sleep, still passed out from his fall.

He stirs, looking like he's having a nightmare. "Mason," Someone whispers frantically. "Mason, please wake up."

He wakes up, flailing on the cot, opening his mouth to scream, but I quickly whisper, "Mason,"

"A-Ash," He whimpers. "Get him away."

"He's not here," I whispers solemnly, taking my hand. "He isn't here."

"You swear?" He whimpers.

I nod, kissing his forehead. "Promise," I nod again, clutching Mason's hand. "You... You passed out. You're in the nurses office."

"Clover... What did she tell you?" He asks, making me nearly growl. How could she do such a thing?

I look down. "She just told me, uh, his name... But I looked him up..."

He freezes, tensing. "Wh-what?" He mumbles. "You... You know what happened..." I can see the fear in his eyes as he becomes distant for a moment.

"How- How long have I been out?" He mumbles.

"A couple hours," I tell him softly, stroking his hair.

"Y-you know," he says shakily. "You know."

I nod. "But I don't care," I say hastily. "It wasn't your fault..."

"B-b-but-"

"Mason," I says softly, kissing my forehead. "Did you think I would hate you or something?"

He timidly nods, looking up at me with wide eyes, causing me to laugh softly.. "Once again, how's it your fault? I won't ever bring it up, and trust me, I don't even think it would be possible for me to think of doing those things."

He shivers, tears jumping into his eyes. "I thought he was nice... But he isn't."

I boyfriend nod, kissing my boyfriend gently. "I know... But he's gone, and now it's just me and you. Us."

He freezes again, but slowly relaxes, twining his fingers with mine. "Clover's gonna tell everyone," he says quietly. "I left so no one would know." His breathing hitches, his eyes widening. "What if- what if she calls the police?"

"Well... You'd go back to your brother. They're still looking for you, Mason."

"But I can't go back!" He cries, fear entering his eyes. Xzavier nods his head, kissing me.

"Why not?" He asks softly.

"C-Cody hates me and A-Ash could come back at any time," He says, stuttering. "I-I can't go back, I c-can't."

I stroke his cheek gently. "Oh, honey, he isn't coming back. He has a life sentence in prison, there is no way he's getting out. Plus, I'm sure Cody does not hate you."

"He does," he says sadly. "He hates me."

"He doesn't," I argue with a stern look. "Don't you even think that, mister. He loves you."

"He can't love me. I did something really stupid." What could he have possibly done to make his own brother hate him?

I climb onto the bed with him, burying my face into his chest and hoping that he'll find comfort in my touch. "He's your brother. No matter what you did, he'll love you."

I shake my head, a few tears rolling down my cheeks. "Fine, believe what you want, but I know for a fact that he wouldn't hate you," I go quiet, reaching up to stroke his hair.

He leans into my touch, eventually falling back asleep. I sigh softly, still not believing that anyone would do this to him. Honestly, how could you hurt a kid like that?! It's inhuman...

But then again, so is Ashton Bellavance, a man who kept children in his basement. I gently let go of him, sending him a quick text telling him I need to go back to class, and head out.

I feel a shaky tap on my shoulder, and I turn around to see Mason trembling slightly, looking around nervously. His eyes land on me, and he gives me a shaky smile, kissing me. "Hey," he says casually.

I smile at him and wrap my arms around his neck, burying my face into his neck. "Hello," I say, giggling.

He giggles slightly, too, before regaining his composure. "So, um... Have you, uh, heard anything?"

I shake my head. "No. I haven't seen Clover. But, I'm sure she would get in a lot of trouble if she was to say anything."

"I don't know..." He says quietly. "They're still looking for me."

"Shouldn't you be happy?" I ask in confusion. "Shouldn't you want them to be looking for you?"

Mason shakes his head, rubbing it against mine in the process. "I don't want to go back."

"Why?" I ask softly. "Your brother doesn't hate you, Mason."

"He does!" He cries, half angrily and half miserably. "He hates me!" He steps back, forcing a glare at me. "Don't act like you know him!"

I mentally sigh, knowing that if I just keep calm, so will Mason. "I never said I know him," I say gently. "but siblings don't just hate each other."

I'm right. He instantly calms down. "He does," he says quietly. "He hates me, I know he does."

"Have you talked to him?" I ask, nuzzling into his neck.

"S-sort of," he says. "It d-didn't end well."

I kiss his neck very gently. "Do you want to talk about it?"

"No," he says firmly, but holds onto me tightly. "No, I don't. Let's just... Go home. Can we go to your house?"

"'Course." I smile at him and sling my backpack over my shoulder, tugging him along. "Hey, have you talked Chris? I haven't seen him in a while..."

Mason shakes his head. "N-no, I haven't seen him lately," he says nervously.

I shrug. "I hope he's alright..." We get to my car and I jump in the driver's side happily, starting the car.

He gets into the passenger seat, curling in a ball. I reach over and grab his hand. "You okay?" I ask softly.

"Yeah," he lies shakily.

I kiss his forehead softly. "I love you," I whisper, squeezing his hand reassuringly.

He smiles at me faintly. "I love you, too."

We arrive at my house, and once I get out of the car, I skip over to his side, flinging the door opening and pulling him out. "Let's gooo!" I cry bouncing up and down.

He laughs quietly, taking my hand in his, following me into my house. Once inside, I take him to the kitchen, where I find my mother baking something as always. She turns to us with a wide smile. "Hi boys!" She hands us a plate of cookies. "Here ya go!"

Mason smiles at her wearily, scooting closer to me. I take his hand and smile back at my mum. "Thanks, Mum." I take the plate, balancing it with one hand, and pull Mason out of the kitchen and into my room, where I drop down on my bed.

He sits next to me. "She's nice," he says cautiously. I notice that anytime someone's nice to him, he's especially careful around them.

I nod. "I love her," I say with a wide smile, handing him a cookie while nibbling on my own.

He cautiously nibbles on it, leaning against me with his eyes closed.

"Hey. Hey, you bum," I poke his face, smiling goofily.

His eyes open, and he looks at me curiously. "I looove you," I sing, jumping into his lap and carelessly throwing my arms around his neck.

He flinches, but slowly wraps his arms around my waist, smiling softly. "I love you, too," he whispers. I place my lips against his gently. I've realized by now that being calm and gentle around Mason will get you really far. He kisses me back slowly, a shaky hand cupping my cheek.

I keep the kiss slow, gently speeding it up as I nibble on his bottom lip. He hesitates, before opening his mouth, allowing me to stick my tongue into his mouth, caressing his tongue with my own. He shivers, the trembling in his hands ceasing as he lays down, pulling me on top of him.

I straddle him, one hand snaking up to his hair as I speed the kiss up some more. "Xzavier," Mason mumbles against my lips. "A-are we...?"

"Do you want to?" I ask, my voice shaking a bit as I trail my fingers gently up and down his chest.

He bites his lip, his eyes far away for a moment before he nods. "Yes," he says firmly. "I do." I nod slowly, reconnecting our lips in a passionate kiss.

~~~
"That was..." Mason whispers, breathless.
I pant, breathing deeply. "Wow..." I whisper, cringing when I try to move.
Mason chuckles quietly, wrapping an arm around me and snuggling into my chest. "Don't laugh!" I whine quietly. "It hurts!"
"Sorry?" He says, chuckling. He leans up, kissing me, then resting his head back on my chest.
I just roll my eyes, pulling him closer. "I love you," I say softly, not being able to say it enough.
"I love you, too," he whispers, sounding choked. Sleep takes over me a moment later, and I fall asleep with a smile on my face.
