The adults got to work on all of their LBXs while the children stayed behind in the office. Eva sat by a desk in another corner, fixing up her LBX.

"Ban, did you help with the development of the LBX?" Jessica asked.

"Not at all. But when I was little, I watched my dad make its prototype." Ban replied.

"Ban, how does it feel to have the creator of the LBXs be your father?" Hiro asked.

"It makes me happy. But he's a normal dad at home." Ban replied with a smile. "When he lived with us, he always slept in and mom would get mad at the messes he made."

"It'd be nice if you could go back to living like that soon." At Jessica's words, Ban nodded.

"I kind of want to see my mom now, too. Maybe I should try calling her later." Hiro muttered to himself before turning back to them. "Oh, but I like being with all of you! Plus, I'm on a mission to save the world."

"Hiro, it's like you're aiming to become a hero." Jessica commented.

"Of course! I want to be like Senshiman!" Hiro exclaimed, posing like one.

"You gotta stop being in love with that weird hero!" Ran said, clearly not amused.

Hiro was taken aback before smiling playfully. "I won't let you insult Senshiman like that! Ready? Senshiman is the one that protects-"

"Eva!" Jessica, not wanting to hear the younger boy's lecture, called out loudly.

The blonde looked up from her desk. "Yes?"

"Why don't you come here and join us? We'd love to get to know you better."

She smiled wryly at that. "Thanks, I'll be right there. I'm just finishing up on Twilight's maintenance."

"Twilight? Did dad made a new LBX for you too?" Ban asked.

She shook her head. "No, I did. I used Dreamer as the base and upgraded it further." She sighed. "And I think I used it to fight against Niara Levanov too."

"I wonder why Detector didn't take you away..." Yuuya piped in. "I mean, I'm glad you weren't, but up until now, Detector had always taken one of Ban's friends to another country as a slave player, right?"

Hiro disagreed. "Not always. When we were at Egypt, the slave player was someone we had just met on that day."

"Maybe they knew Kazama Kirito would be fighting Keita and kidnapped Eva as back up..." Ban stated.

Jin turned to her. "Are you sure you're alright?"

Eva gave him a smile. "I'm fine. I know about how much it affected Ami, but that was probably because she was under their control for quite a long time. On the contrary, I've only been a slave player for a few hours." Then she frowned. "Though, now I'm worried about Kazu."

"We'll find him! I'm sure of it!" Hiro said, his eyes glinting confidently.

"Guys, look!" Yuuya was by the window, his eyes wide in panic.

Jin was first to ask. "What's wrong?"

They all looked out the window to find many, many LBXs on their way to the observatory. Ban narrowed his eyes. "Detector!"

They called for the professor and he came in as soon as Eva pulled up the image on screen. Hundreds of LBXs were marching towards them, all armed and ready for battle. Their CCMs resounded, indicating a signal from a commanding computer. However, Otacross shot that idea down and confirmed that there were none in Brinton as of that moment.

"Ban, let's fight!" Hiro stood proud and determined before he realized. "But our LBXs..."

He was cut off when the building began to shake. Multiple gunshots could be heard from outside.

Jin was first to regain his balance. "They plan to take down the whole observatory."

Jessica went up to the elder man. "Professor, it's too dangerous here. We should retreat."

He rejected her suggestion. "We can't. If we leave now, we won't be able to make the modifications for the Super LBX."

"Professor..."

"Ban, you and the others should escape. I'll keep working here. I'll bring the modified LBXs to you no matter what."

Ban narrowed his eyes at that. "I'm not leaving you behind, dad!"

The blonde turned back to him. "But what can we do? Our LBXs..."

"You can use the other ones." Eva cut in. She turned to the professor and continued when he gave his approval. "We have spare LBXs that were used as research samples. You can go ahead and use those."

Ban and the others nodded and Eva led the way to another floor. They got the spares from a storage room and got to a nearby balcony to begin their defense.

"Eva, you're not joining in?" Ran asked.

She shook her head. "I'll be helping the adults in the lab so that we can all get out of here sooner."

Jin nodded at her. "Stay safe."

"You too."

As soon as she leaves, Jessica had her eyebrow raised. "Is there something between you two or...?" Jin gave her no more than a look before turning his focus to the battle ahead.

The last thing they expected was for the Killer Droid to appear again. What's more, it shocked them to find it destroying all the LBXs attacking them. When they realized that their guns and missiles were no match for the creature's thick armor, they switched out their weapons and began to attack in close range.

In the lab, the power had gone off, most likely due to the amount of damage the building received. The professor eyed his two agents and they got to work.

"Switching to emergency power." Cobra stated.

"30 minutes left of emergency power." Mongoose started the countdown.

The elder male turned to the young blonde in another corner. "Eva, I'll leave Triton, Jeanne D, and Liu Bei's maintenance in your hands. I'm prioritizing the modification of Elysion, Perseus and Minerva."

"Cutting Triton, Jeanne D, and Liu Bei off from the emergency power." As soon as her hand landed on the machine, her eyes glowed. "Synchronizing with AI... Continuing maintenance program."

Soon, Ban, Hiro and Ran had their LBXs back. The Killer Droid trapped them into its dome and made its move. The new Elysion, Perseus, and Minerva managed to dodge all of its attack and Hiro had managed to fend off against it with Strike Mode. When the creature continued to stand, the professor ordered them to use Docking Mode. Their LBXs combined into one large droid, about the size of the Killer Droid itself.
